how can television be so good.
What an amazing treat - as a big Vonnegut fan I've only heard of this - to see it is even more incredible. Vonnegut's short story is so beautiful and this represents it perfectly. Vonnegut adapted his story to suit a TV show script but kept the true heartfelt feeling in the piece. Davis and the young boy really work magic here. I found myself sobbing at the emotional storytelling. Davis got the meaning here and he sells it with vigor. His chemistry with his young costar is palpable. Just a beautiful piece all around. As with the short story - I am emotionally overwhelmed with this short film.
Fantastic! I've been wanting to see this since I knew it existed from brief exerpts I'd seen over the years. Thank you!
