FYI for anyone that cares. The freezer comes off with no tools. Pull freezer door out all the way and remove trays. In the slides you can see one white plastic for each one. Push them in and pull it out

Yeah the guys that I had taken it off didn't realize that and they just took the whole thing off .

Thanks for the video. Much simpler than I thought it would be. We're moving into a new place and the widest exterior door is only 35" which is just narrow enough for this to be a tight fit getting in. Being able to remove the doors will make it much easier.

That was exactly what I needed! The wife got a new fridge that looks a lot like the one you used, only it's a LG. I'm moving the old one to a room I built on the deck! It's a GE we've had for 20 years but it still runs great! The tools you used are exactly the same that as used. Thanks for the very helpful video!!!!!

My GE does not have the water line in the bottom hinge so be aware of that when you attempt this.

okay there are two little screws to take off the freezer door but they are located on the outside of each rail. then just lift off.

on my model there were not two little screws on each side of the freezer door, it would have been nice if there were?

My freezer door keeps hitting the right side hinge and wont close all the way, this is after we tried to put it all back together 🫠

That’s means you have something misaligned

@@HoweyJR_ or we bent the hinge ? because the freezer is in the track and everything screws in the way it's supposed to. I also wondered if the fridge is not balanced, if that could cause it

@@mariaremick7320 idk.. I just bought this fridge from a local appliance store & can’t get the left door off because of the wire for the ice maker & he doesn’t show how to disconnect it clearly enough in this vid so I’m stuck lol
