GD&T Composite Position Lesson 13 - NO MATH
You asked, here it is. Composite Position Tolerance explained "Barney style".

Holy smokes, you’re the rain gutter bell siphon guy!! Thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge! Where I work, there’s an attitude of keeping things to yourself so that the young-uns look bad (cause we haven’t worked a lathe for 15 years etc). You really are the god-king of mentors, albeit vicariously. Thank you, you’re helping me become a better person and metrologist.
Hats off to you effort . I can understand how much time has gone in doing this single video with actual practical example. As a feedback , I would say that first you share the theory pretty quick then go for practical show.
hahah I sure hoped you were joking about the laser cutting paper idea. That was great!
Great! After watching these videos, reading of Y14.5 standard goes much smoother ))
Great explanation by these simple example. Thanks a lot!
Amazing man a lot complexed made concept made so simple thats why i watch your videos
Great explanation! Well done.
Very good explanation! Thank you!
Thank you brother, you are the god-emperor of youtube GD&T. I’m gonna buy your book.
Nicely explained Thanks a lot
Thank you for sharing!
I've been looking for this long time ago. thank you to make everything clear. we don't have engineer in our company to help me out.
Great job. Thank you.
Nice explaination
Great and clear explanation considering the mechanical functionality and logic, with a perfect example. Thank you very much. I have a question: let's assume, instead of datum B as a plane, we have datum B at MMB as a datum width, for both segments. The question is, how does the datum shift for the lower segment behave? Is it independent from the datum shift resulted from the upper segment? Or, is it the same as the datum shift from the upper segment (including translation and rotation)?
Thanks, is very helpful
Thanks for such video for composite tolerance. I have a question about video. I realize that you explained the bottom segment without datum A in video at 9,35. Could you please show only adding the datum A for composite tolerance ?
Your videos really helped me understand GT&T, but i have one question, whats mean modifier CZ in lower segment. Some of drawing in my job have modifier CZ in lower segment in composite position of holes.
you are fantastic
Hi Sir, Greetings of the day! Could you please make a video on composite profile tolerance.
i dont think anyone could have explained it shorter and simpler... i kept going back and fourth through my pdf files and couldnt understand anything but this video explained it in no time...
this is awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I finally understand this. The "upper box" in the feature control frame = location. The "lower box" controls the depth/form, similar to a perpendicularity geo tolerance. Also, when the lower box reference only the primary datum this tolerance zone(cylindrical) is allowed to slant. When the lower box reference primary & secondary datum, then the tolerance zone(cylindrical) cannot slant or must be perpendicular. Am I thinking in the right direction?
Hey Q, if the lower frame specified |A|B|C| how would the "drilled holes" be constrained? If I'm right, then the "pattern locating zone=red dot" will be dead center at true position. Is that right?
Thxxxx
Thank you so much! I had a hard time grasping composite FCF, especially with additional datums, you explained it very well!
hi sorry for the basic question, but why don't you specify the holes with just the 2 control frame with has the bigger tolerance to begin with? thank you.
genial, me costó entender porqué está en ingles pero ya pude
Can you help how to measure Composite tolerance using CMM?

Most of videos in here are not for inspection. Talking is easy 😀
虽然我参加过TUV的GD&T培训,但是还有很多不懂的地方需要去学习,以便于加强理解。

11:12 You could have been shown some pictorial views , so that we can understand clearly that holes are perpendicular to the A surface...
OK.. But will all the sheet of paper be aligned with each other??..

Blah blah blah. You want to get to it already. Forget it. I'm done here.
