@@enjoyyourday5870 In Uruguay,hee we have a very obsolete network dating 1900,wiht little governmet invest. (A statal owned company owes the railways)and the once flourishing british pattern system today languishes used for freight duty with top speeds of 25/30 mph!. There are many workshops, rolling stock and stations wih all their past century equipment in complete neglec and abandon ,really outdoor museums by themselves. Very sad.

0:33 The Old Dalby test track that runs up as far as Edwalton is on the line that ran east out of Nottingham Midland and crossed the Trent over what is now Lady Bay road bridge. The GCR continued north from Ruddington through Wilford then crossed the Trent further to the west, heading up through The Meadows and crossing over the Midland station. It then made it's way though Thurland St tunnel and into Nottingham Victoria station. Some of the former GCR route is now used for the NET tran system.
