GBRf 66760 leaves York Holgate Works by road for Mission Impossible film job at the NYMR | 08/04/21

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A scene for the next installment of the Mission: Impossible film franchise starring Tom Cruise amongst others is being filmed at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. GBRf have provided two class 66 locos for this (66754 'Northampton Saints', which left the day before and this, 66760 'David Gordon Harris').
Due to a landslip at Beck Hole on the NYMR cutting the filming location off from the railway's connection to the mainline, the locos had to be transported by road from Holgate Works to Newbridge Depot near Pickering on the railway.
I hope you enjoy the video and feel free to comment down below!

Good catch. Watched them film Mission Impossible in Dubai some years ago. With how small Tom Cruise is they could get away with using two Hornby N gauge models. Will be interesting to see what the 2 locos will be repainted as for the film

You get a much better appreciation for the size and weight of these locos when you see them on a truck like this. Good one. The 66s are probably the best looking locos out there, that's why they wanted them for the film.
