Gaza: Resilience & Hope with Dr Omar Suleiman

In the long durée of Islamic history, we often lose sight that every generation, even the best generation, that of the companions, had deep challenges to overcome. Our enemies have continuously worked to undermine our unity, and it is often the hard lessons of these challenges that help us overcome our petty disputes and territorial differences. This episode we focus on the notion of unity and its real implications. If we agree the lack of Muslim unity is holding us back - how do we overcome this challenge? And are we destined to slide into further decline? And is their hope in this crisis?
Dr Omar Suleiman is the founder and president of the Yaqeen institute.

Excellent, what a finely refined character the honourable Imaam Dr Omar sulieman is. Dr Omar Sulieman is from the family of the great Islamic holy martyr Ja'far (may ALLAH swt be most pleased with him.) Who was the companion and the cousin of our most beloved prophet Muhammed (S.A.W.S. ) Ja'far died in the battle of Mu'tah fighting along side and was appointed a battle official directly by our most beloved prophet Muhammed(S.A.W.S.). Ja'far was a great warrior who was severely wounded 72 times by sword and spear and was still standing before he finally fell to the ground. May ALLAH s.w.t be most pleased with him and All praises are for ALLAH s.w.t al-azeem, alone. Salaam

There are many prayers going to Palestine from the entire world. Allah SWT is hearing all the prayers. We put our trust solely in Him, while doing the best that we can with our own ability. This is amazing awakening of the ummah, the people are being united. The only way to move forward is to be positive, have hope, and remember that we need to set an example for those who will follow us in the future. So always be ambassador and let your best light shine. Put goodness out there, and goodness will come back to you.

Dr. Omer Suleiman is exceptionally soft spoken and never loses his cool and chooses his words carefully, and he never openly accuses the hypocrites within the muslim ummah eventhough we all know who he is referring to when discussing about muslims nations who are giving Gaza charity and at the same time siding with Israel in their love for their kingdom and power. May Allah give this man all the power. As a born muslim who is now 38, I'm more closer to Islam and Allah now more than ever before, all because of Gaza and the resilience of the people there and how the world rulers are siding with the oppressors for their material gains. Tables will turn insha Allah. However I prefer Sami Hamdi being more open and vocal about this stance.

First of all, Ameen! Thanks for this great work. Keep going on. Ma Sha Allah. Regarding this discussion particularly: It is a good perspective. The future of our Ummah will be Insha Allah a glorious one. This is as long as we keep in mind that Muslims should act as on Ummah. Yes, currently, we are divided and split into many nation-states. But history is not static. It is in a continuous change. As long as this thinking of Ummah exists, it will realize at the political scene. Insha Allah Another related point: Yes for boycott & spread the word.

@@ismailsarchives7477 I will ask you an honest strategic question. Would syria and Iraq rather be under Israel or under their own oppressive ruler? Tell me what happened to the first and only election held in Egypt? What happened to Morsi? Did Syria or Iraq remove them, or their own dictatorship , US, Saudi, and UAE? There is no doubt Bashar Asad has done alot of oppression on his people... but which leader in the muslim world hasn’t oppressed its own people. Why is Syria singled out? Who ruined and divided rich Libya? The French along with UAE... Egypt and Jordan are worse because they always have a begging bowl towards the US... to feed its people. Syria doesn’t have a begging bowl towards the US to feed its people, infact their oil is getting stolen by the US military in Syria till this day... If Bashar wasn’t in place today... there would have been total chaos , because there hasn’t been any success in the Arab spring. Starting from Tunisia. Situation hasn’t gotten better and probably worse from the first protest... Free election is non existent in any Arab country, what makes Syria different? Syria is one of the few Arab countries that doesn’t have any ties with Israel, unlike Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Bahrain... and Saudi would have joined if not for the Oct 7th attack... Look at the State of Sudan! A country that normalized its ties with Israel for economic reasons... and now in a state of civil war... Sudan could have been helped by its rich sunni leaders but instead keep building high rise buildings and have Saturday amd Sunday as their holidays 😅 ( Qatar is atleast better by having atleast Friday and Saturday as a holiday) If Bashar wasn’t in power today, be sure it would be under ISIS or Israel... definitely no independent free Syrian party nor Muslim Brotherhood... The US, Saudi, UAE would never allow it, like it didn’t allow democracy in Egypt in the first place. Bashar has oppressed its people, and will face the consequences either in this world or the next . Just like Saddam did, Saddam with the help of the whole world including all arab countries attacked Iran... and see what happened to him. But Bashar is intelligent enough not to pounce on another country like Saddam did, attacking its best Arab Ally, Kuwait after he couldn’t win the war with Iran. Now the only countries that are actually suffering from supporting Palestine are South Lebanon, North Yemen, Syria , Iraq, and Iran. All of them are under sanctions from the US, and all had military or some sort of attack on them since Oct 7, while all GCC countries, Egypt, Jordan etc were busy celebrating with Newyear Fireworks! A new year which is western calendar also... so desperate to be accepted by the west... To sum it up all this mess in the region is mainly from the time of the existence of Israel in the region. But now we are in no position to point fingers but have no choice but to choose the lesser of the evil.

@@ismailsarchives7477you mean the zalimeem in syria who were backed by US and saudi, the same as the ones who are helping with palestine genocide? If iraq and syria were sunni lead they would be front in line to kiss israels dirty ass just as saudi, qatar, and bahrain are doing so. They have no shame and are worse than even israel for their support.

"A poverty of Islam within", utter rubbish. I converted 6 years ago in Morocco and wherever I go, I am embraced with love and joy by every Muslim I meet ❤ and I live in a remote valley in Connemara. Most of the Irish people are not Muslim, but we love and support our Palestinian brothers and sisters ❤ with all of our hearts, Al hamdu lillah. There will be a peaceful solution insha Allah. We all need to believe in Allah/God and trust 🙏 His Power

Another amazing podcast with brother Jalal. I have fallen in love with this KZread channel. Refreshingly different from many other talks. Cannot recommend everyone subscribing to this channel highly enough.

All Muslims should work together like a TASBIH. You all make up His Tasbih. The Ummah in Palestine are resilient because they are united like Allah's Tasbih.
