The anger we feel from Israel’s continued barbarous shelling of Gaza cannot be put into words. The impunity with which it acts and the green light given by the west just reminds us that the so-called rules-based order is setup to serve the West. With all this in mind, young people in particular are being reminded daily that Palestinian activism is viewed with suspicion by education authorities. In the UK, the government has mooted that flying the Palestinian flag could be supporting terror and its Prevent laws make it extremely difficult for our youth to voice even their support for our ummah, lest they are investigated for links to extremism. To help parents and young people understand how to navigate this minefield.
Dr Layla Aitlhadj, has been a tenacious campaigner to expose how the government has violated the most basic rights of ordinary Muslim citizens. Her organisation Prevent Watch has helped countless Muslim families caught up in this net of accusations. Her diligence and assiduous approach to prevent cases has helped shine a light on how destructive this policy is.

i just got banned for a day for posting the video of lauren southern in luton with a flyer asking is allah gay. the cops said the muslim mob would become violent, so he threated to arrest her. the europeans have always sided with the 'heckler's veto'. they hate freedom of speech.

Solution for Arab leaders to implement. 1. Cancel any normalization with Israel. 2. America has military bases all over the Arab world (not Iran). Force USA to choose between Israel or military bases. Either stop funding Israel & keep the military bases or continue funding Israel but remove the bases. Not asking a lot of these Arab leaders but they're too weak to even do this.

Totally agree, the leaders are weak. They could control the world but resort to being carpets and walked all over. If they want to stop the war and instability in the area get rid of the American bases and stop supplying oil to America and then see what they will do. They cannot afford to go to war thereafter. They already banned Russia where will they get their fuel to fill their ships and aircrafts

Arab countries need the normalisation deals to protect their countries from Iranian aggression. For example, if you're in MBZ shoes in the UAE, Iran has occupied your Tunb Islands and fires rockets into your country via proxies. It detains your ships and tankers in the Gulf. Would you say no to US help including basing their troops and Intelligence personnel? Israel is Iran's enemy and is technologically advanced. Would you say no to intelligence and military help from Israel? Would you really weaken your own country for the sake of the Palestinians?

These thinking, conscientious, young people that the lawyer is talking about, are being threatened with being excluded from their education but if the education system is not fair in freedom of expression, it seems to me that some of them have already grown out of what the UK education lower and higher education system has to offer.

The implication is that the school system is not for education nor for training critical thinkers. Rather it's a means to socially condition children into being subordinated, to be workers, tax payers, who will not question new laws to remove their rights or expectations of healthcare, or even notice any of that as long as the football is on.

You shouldn't just grow a social conscious for Palestinians when there is a conflict suddenly flares and you see all those images and videos of suffering. Children need to be taught how to process this distressing data, how to express themselves and engage in constructive ways to help the issue eg. no need to make anti semitic social media posts. Send letters in a campaign to your MP instead.

@@ankhmorpok1497 yes,these are constructive routes and I would say, get in touch with your local representatives, MPs and councillors as well, not instead. Children with politically aware parents will certainly have engaged before this but others may only be hearing it for the first time and because of the media storm, they are simply reacting to what the elders are highlighting. Here in Alexandria Egypt where I live, although young people are much more aware of regional issues, I have seen young women so distressed, that they break down in tears in the Quran class and can't even recite.

He tried hard to host Dr. Talal Ghazaleh, the Palestinian businessman and millionaire, and ask him questions about the role of Arab countries in supporting the Palestinian cause. He is a person who lived through the Palestinian Nakba and knows how to defend his cause and knows the role of each country in supporting Palestine, instead of hosting people whose main concern is insulting Muslim rulers because of his hatred for them. If jihad was declared, he would speak from the heart of London in support of Palestine, and he would not think about coming to the land of jihad and fighting with Muslims, of whom there are many, unfortunately.

Its always best to be restrained, nuanced and proportionate in ones response. That isnt colonial self censorship. Its just common sence. Its a parents duty to teach children to do this.
The fall of America power and its influence is inevitable due to their biased idea applications of democracy and human rights. And London bridge is also falling down because Sunak’s “unequivocal” UK support for Israel “not just today, not just tomorrow, but always” as if he will be the PM forever.

Teachers in Gaza went on strike for back pay they fired them and replaced them with Hamas supporters. They steal UN humanitarian aid and turn it into rockets to launch at Israel. They threw gay men off a roof since the take the teachings of the Koran literally. They killed 25 Jews in Argentina. They are supported by the reactionary Islamic regime in Iran that wants to build nuclear weapons and denies the holocaust. Hamas says the refugees are the UN's problem. The beat men for corseting with women who are not their wifes. Their goal is a united Islamic caliphate that creates a Jew free world. Just like the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem who was an ally of Hitler and organized a Muslim militia. When they attacked on Oct 7 not only did the kill Jews but they killed Arabs including a Medic who was Arab and refused to evacuate and was bandaging the wounded. This why we say that Hamas is NAZI like.
I'm glad I'm single, not married and have no children....I'm financially secure own my own home no mortgage no rent...just me and my faith in believing in something higher.... I'd never let my children succumb to this western modern secular society..just do my prayers and read my books and waiting for old age to take me.... I'm running to the hills figuratively

By the way you put it, you seem only comfortable living in a system where everything is Islamic. Why the need to see everything through the lens of religion? Any form of religion which discouraged living side by side with people of other faiths and calling them kuffar, neggis and dirty shoud examine the teachings of their books. Praising their god after committing barbaric actions against fellow humans should be condemned. If it's impossible to someone to stand against atrocious act, he/she must be one of them.
