“Gaza Is on the Brink of Famine:” World Food Programme’s Cindy McCain | Amanpour and Company

Gazans are facing a desperate humanitarian crisis, with food shelves empty and 85% of the enclave's population displaced since October 7, according to the U.N. The World Food Programme’s Executive Director, Cindy McCain, calls it a tipping point. She speaks to Walter Isaacson about the dire situation and why food insecurity is a global concern.

Just a reminder that both forced relocation, and starvation of a population are defined as crimes against humanity. Also, if it's a particular ethnic group or religious group, it's genocide. We're talking about millions of civilians. That's to say nothing of the war crimes from ongoing bombing and shooting of those same people.

If any person involved in this war truthfully wanted safe access for the delivery of relief to the people of Gaza in their war, they would have declared most of the coastal waterfront a relief zone and under the security of the IDF built a relief facility capable of maintaining food, water, and medical supplies to meet the basic needs of 2,000,000 people. Relief Trucks, relief agencies, and relief facilities ARE NOT PERMITTED NOR BROUGHT INTO ACTIVE COMBAT ZONES. Because of the vast Hamas Underground Military Facility, every square kilometer of Gaza is an Active Combat Zone and subjected to immediate bombing. This is not complicated.

They began their attack, but Israel fired first. Then the Palestinians lost, much to the surprise of the British. The Palestinians were losers. Now 75 years, five major wars, and decades of small attacks later, and the Palestinians are again, losers, losers, losers, losers, losers, losers, losers, losers. That should be enough losers to reflect every Losing. After The second major "Losers," the sad story of the Nakba and the claims of the "Right of Return" became Null and Void.
