Gaza Eyewitness: The Doctor Treating Genocide - Dr Ghassan Abu-Sittah

When we consider the ongoing slaughter that is Gaza and the West's complicity, it's not the world leaders, East or West, who have captured our collective imagination - it's the ordinary people who have made the difference. It's the journalists, poets - the doctors and nurses that have helped the world see the atrocities of settler colonialism and its abject violence. Certainly, a defused media has given the world, possibly for the very first time, the ability to witness the horrors of Israel - but it is people like my guest today who have been able to articulate a narrative that rises above the deliberate propaganda that passes as commentary.
Professor Ghassan Abu-Sittah is a multi-award-winning Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He has worked in multiple war zones, including Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Gaza. He was, until recently, working to save lives in Gaza’s war ravaged and ill-equipped hospitals.

I would make shorts of parts of this video, for example the part where he explains how hospitals where systematically destroyed, one by one, and have every single muslim podcast, activists, post it on their platforms. Post it everywhere. I can't believe this has been allowed.

Thank you for having such a wonderful person as guest. What Dr Ghassan said at the end of the video, that now the world sees Israel the same way you have been seeing it for the past 75 years is absolutely true and I am ashamed I did not want to see this before. I thought that nothing similar to what happened during the Holocaust would be repeated and to see the Israeli gov doing the same to Palestinians it is more than heartbreaking. My only hope is that at least this Genocide happening in front of our eyes will finally led to the liberation of the Palestine. 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

“They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not. - In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. - And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers." - Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not. - And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not. - And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers." - [But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly. - Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. - Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see. - Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].” (Quran 2:9-18) “And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].”{Quran 14:42} “But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.”(Quran 8:30) Allah's plans always prevail in perfect timings and quantity over the man's planning. One should realize that there won't be any storm that Allah won't carry His man through. But for that one's faith needs to be greater than his fear. You have the watches, we have the time! I don't understand it when people say that the Palestinians are 'brown' because to me, they aren't brown ...not that that should make any difference to the way in which any human peoples are treated. It's sad that in Australia, what has been happening in Palestine has not been in the mainstream news, so it's only since 7/10 that I discovered what's been happening. When I saw the news of 7/10, I decided to do a deep dive into the history of the area and what could have caused the attack. As I'm older I can't do anything to help, e.g. marches, demonstrating, etc. ... so I've become a keyboard warrior & do my best to spread the word about what is really happening, and why it's happening. Justice & freedom for Palestine & the Palestinians!

A few other doctors have mentioned the unusually sharp and amputating shrapnel wounds. We know that experimental weaponry is being used, but I think you have specific knowledge which can document some of the worst, from your medical expertise. Thank you.
