​@@chayan5471statpadler Kohli in this game also did statpadling ,look at the strike rate of gambhir and statpadler Kohli . Gambhir played runner ball till first 60 runs and removed pressure from Kohli and set the platform early on to win and got team out of difficult situations by scoring at a decent rate and absorbed the pressure ,and look at Kohli 24 of 40 balls with a poor strike rate . Gambhir taking charge from other end helped kohli to score at that slow pace alongside gambhir .

I will never forget GAMBHIR's 97 runs in the final He has literally saved our WORLD CUP 2011🎉... considering Sachin Sehwag went out fast and Dhoni had not batted well in the entire World Cup.

Something beautiful that Gambhir said about this was ‘I didn’t care about the century. I wanted to win it for the nation. Jayawardene made a brilliant century the same day but no one remembered it because we won’

This is better than 10 hundred in normal match. Gautam Ghambir is always a big match player. In 2007 T20 Final , he scored 75 runs of total 150 team scores. He was the highest scorer of both final 2007 & 2011.

He deserve to play 2015,2016,2017 icc tournaments

Gambhir consistently played good and his inning also gave confidence to Dhoni that runs could be made in this pitch and we could win, so for me, Gambhir taking all the pressure away made his inning better than Dhoni.
