Gatorland's gators stayed put during Hurricane Ian. Now the park is scrambling to reopen.
The park, which happens to be dubbed the “Alligator Capitol of the World,” saw a monumental amount of water flood into the park, leaving many areas, including its front offices, dockside walkways, gift shop and parking lot, underwater.

I'm 60 this year, and I remember going to Gatorland in the 1960s. One of my most cherished childhood memories. I do hope it lives on. And I do believe it will.
Gatorland is amazing! Grew up going there on school field trips. God speed in the recovery efforts. Prayers for all those impacted by Hurricane Ian.
I raise my two boys in Orlando Florida. We went there plenty of times when they were little boys. I can’t wait to come back this year, because we will be taking my granddaughter, and newborn grandson there. It’s going to be a blast. Stand strong y’all are warriors.
One of our fave places who takes care of their employees and we will ALWAYS stand with and behind them!!!
I have never seen so many alligators in one place in my life. Gatorland is the ultimate alligator sanctuary.
I took my kids there over 20 years ago... Thanks for keeping up the great work ... later gator
I’ve never heard of this place. Definitely adding this to my trip to when I’m in Orlando next year.
I’m getting Jurassic Park vibes. The fences holding back dinosaurs…its all ooos and ahhhs then running and screaming 🐊 🦖

LOL. Sorry, funny vision. Daddy I wanna go home now...
Last time I been to gator land was in 2000 when I was 10 years old .. it was a great experience
Oh yeah trust me I was an animal caretaker at a nature center in south Florida, and the gators thrive in it, but the tortoises would certainly have drowned luckily they are able to stay buoyant like box turtles but they would drown for sure if it flooded too high good thing they got them out
My family and I visited from Jamaica 🇯🇲 to Orlando and yes we visited GATORLAND this summer really beautiful🐢🐊😱❤️❤️❤️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Alligators aren't afraid of no stinkin hurricane!
For my birthday until i was 13 when we moved it was always at gatorland they had this old gator with one eye and three feet and the gator cowboy show was awesome.

Weather, they thrive in hot climate and there are tons of lakes in Florida
You guys know alligators can climb fences I've seen it firsthand
Gator’s must have 9 lives 🐊
The gatos are well dressed for it
We are not supposed to be hanging around wildlife like alligators. As soon as you feed an alligator, the alligator is not fearful of you and if you run out of food then you become food.
They were not struggling they are a great bunch of people and do a massive job, you just stole their content
U wouldn't want let gators get loose in Florida 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Admission prices a bit excessive, 33 dollars per adult, 24 dollars for kids.

I believe that the price is right. They do have to feed and take care of them properly.
