The “Gateway to Translation” G2T webinar series is a joint initiative between The University of Manchester (Translation Manchester) and the University of Cambridge (Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences, CATS).
The Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences (CATS) established the format and it has been running since 2020. Recordings from previous webinars are available here. Starting this year, CATS and Translation Manchester have partnered to run the series jointly on a monthly basis.
These webinars aim to stimulate the translation of basic research into the clinics by educating academics about trends, technologies and research in the commercial sphere and facilitating collaborations between academia and the medtech, biotech and pharma industry sectors.
Guest speaker of the May webinar of this series is Dr Atefeh Mobasseri, Field Application Scientist at CN Bio Ltd, who has an extensive background in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine (www.cn-bio.com). The name of the talk: “Taking Organoids to the Next Level: State of Art Organ-on-a-chip Technology.”
CN Bio is a Cambridge-based leading organ-on-a-chip (OOC) company that enables researchers to improve the accuracy and efficiency of preclinical drug discovery.
The next webinar of this series, hosted by Translation Manchester, will be on Wednesday 26th June 2-3pm (via Zoom). Our guest speaker will be James Chapman, Co-founder and Product Lead for Decently, a North West-based digital health tech startup on a mission to help clinicians make earlier sense of complex patient behaviours through innovative tech, big data and AI.
