    Thank you for this video. I wached his videos and found it to be confusing ... Love your book because it is clear it took a lot of trial and fail effort to acomplish. The way you put it all to a simple DIY guide is unbelivable thing and I hope more people will figure it. In my eyes you are genius ... Hope I will be able to share pictures of my build soon

    Question for Ben or anyone who can answer. I currently have a gas dryer and gas tankless water heater, could I use wood gas in my garage in these appliances safely if I have a monoxide detector and proper exhaust fans for venting? Obviously I know there is other ways to use it to get hot water, I was just looking to make use of what I have currently.

    I'm very interested in building one of these. I purchased your book , just curious as you have alot more time and expieirience with these, how long does the steel grate or any other parts last with all that extreme heat ? I was planning on building one and putting it in a shed to keep it out of the weather, I will put some c02 sensors and alarm inside just in case but it any other concern I should be aware of ? Thanks again for this

    have you considered offering a build workshop? i bought your book and im really impressed with its clarity that said im the sort that really benefits from visual/hands on instruction. for example, in the smithing world a few people offer build workshops for things like 50 ton hydraulic forging presses and 100lb pnuematic air hammers. usually an instructor with several students that pay for their materials and instruction then spend the next few days to a week doing a build under the teachers tutelage. these are usually almost as costly as a turn key build but the student leaves with not only a finished machine but a much, much deeper understanding of its construction and function. i know i personally would be ALL about such a class and im pretty sure im far from the only one that would leap at such an opportunity.

    I've got the book 3 days ago by Amazon, it's fantastic, very easy to use, I love it, one of the best book ever. I can't understand only one question on all book: Page 65 reports a 10.5" opening and page 113 reports 8.5" hole, this seems not matching with picture on page 51 where bottom holes seem inverted, and in pictures pag 113 both holes seems with the same diameter. Can you please clarify this for me?

  • @VictoryGasworks

    Page 65 talks about the inner liner tank needing to be 10.5" and page 113 talks about the outer tank bottom hole needing to be 8.5" to fit inside the diameter of the liner.

    why is your reaction zone so large? how long will it last, if not stainless? why no cyclone filter? how will you clean the heat exchanger? how long did this thing last, and what happened to your engine, in the long run?

    Buy the book and start. It takes as long as it takes. If you have a MIG welder and a plasma torch already the book is very detailed and you can DIY it. You won't find plans that are better than Ben's anywhere.

    I don't think you should have named it a 'Bible', as you have cut out all Christians from purchasing it, like me.

  • @Anony___mous

    @Anony___mous

    Why? The word bible simply means book. It is derived from the Greek term 'bibliaI'. I have never seen a copy of the written word of God that omitted the word 'Holy' from the cover. People often use the term "bible" in the title of a work to imply that it is complete, thorough and definitive. This is possible because all humans share an understanding that the Holy Bible is the absolute and complete word of God - whether all people chose to accept it is a different matter. It is also easier to remember than; "A treatise on the fundimentals of constructing a wood gas generator for the operation of internal combustion engines."

    As a fellow Christian I think you're being silly and a bit ignorant as the fellow above me mentioned, Bible means "complete work" meaning it encompasses all there is to know to a subject. Please stop finding reasons to be offended all the time, that's not the Christian way.
