Gas heating is more inefficient than Induction heating. So the kitchen is more warm with gas heating than induction heating. For me Induction heating is faster than gas and so I use primarily Induction heating for cooking. Timer in Induction heating further improves efficiency of energy use. I use both based on climate. In summer due to AC use, EBbill will be high. So I use 95% cylinder. In winter there is no AC use, so I use 50% to 60% induction till i reach monthly EB limit.

Induction is efficient only in the cooking process... However gas will always win since it's an natural resource. If we take in to account the overall process of power production, transmission and transformation into heat, the efficiency of gas will be much better.

Thanks for the efforts. But I think we need to take 800-1000 calculation into consideration. So far you may have spent 600-800 units. But after you start using induction, you'll come under 800-1000 slab or even more 🥲 neenga nambalanaalum adhaan nesam

Good attempt. I would have used the same vessel in both cases. When you are heating it for few hours like this, the radiation of the alumiunium and ss would be different also their sizes make a huge difference.

Apart from cost comparison, if energy consumption is compared it will be more useful even if the cost varies, with the calorific value of LPG it can be easily done. It may added a Jem to your work. Just an suggestion nothing other than this . Thanks for your work keep doing

100% of total calorific value of the gas cannot be used for cooking in gas stove. If the gas is burned inside a boiler/closed environment, there itself 30% losses. In gas stove, 60 to 70 % of heat energy will be lost. Only 30 to 40% will be used for cooking. The remaining 70% to 60% of heat generated will be used to heat the environment directly with out being used to heat the vessel on the stove.

The difference is more than just price. The convenience of induction stove- timer control ,the time taken to finish the task ,the safety built-ins -induction turns off when vessel is empty and over heated. If induction stoves were made to directly operated using solar panel it would be a big revolution.

Wattage depends upon your requirement. Same equipment consumes different watts of power depends upon the size of the vessel and its content.

I have a big-time issue, some of the tenants have 2 air conditioners, a microwave Owen, a Big refrigerator, a geyser, and an induction stove. The problem is that my main line is not strong enough to carry current for multiple houses. For me since im a bachelor staying in 1BHK , My eb bill always zero for me as per the slab im using very minimum. Induction is very good suggestion for bachelor ,if we have 2 induction,the speed of cooking also same like lpg. My vote induction always.
