    Good day sir. I really appreciate your video. I was wondering if I could contact you and ask a few questions because I’m considering doing something like this for my final year research project. I saw somewhere that nitrogen gas can be used for the stripping of almost lean glycol and I wanted to ask if other mostly inert gases like co2 or Ar could be used in the stripping column

    It's amazing, I appreciate it. I just have a question, the density of TEG is normally higher than other fluids, so in flash drum the outlet should be on the left side, am I right?

  • @nicksengineering987

    @nicksengineering987

    2 жыл бұрын

    상당히 수준 높은 질문이네요. stripping column에 주입하는 gas는 contactor에서 dehydration된 dry gas 중 일부를 끌어다가 쓰는 겁니다. 즉 fuel gas는 맞으나, contactor feed 가 아닌 contactor를 leaving하는 dry gas인 겁니다. 엔지니어링 센스가 있으신 것 같습니다.

    Why it is heated up 30 to 40 degree in stripping column

  • @feetfats1

    @feetfats1

    I think you mean in the reflux condenser? The rich glycol is heated there to capture heat that would otherwise go to waste. This improves efficiency which reduces fuel gas usage.

  • @nicksengineering987

    @nicksengineering987

    2 жыл бұрын

    You meant reflux condenser... As i already mentioned, rich TEG is used as cooling medium in reflux(shell and tube type HEX). If you meant the exact temperature why it would be from 30 to 40C, it depends on your required reflux ratio as per project spec. Normally, it is 15~25% enough. In order for reflux to have this value of ex, 25%, you need to heat the rich TEG up to 40C which is correspond to 25%.
