Man, rest in piece Gary Wilson. I read his book and he has been a big help in my life. Very grateful to him, but I mostly admire his work towards helping all those people who struggle with pornography. He really brought awareness to this big issue and I believe his work will inspire many others to help make this addiction even more legit and worldwide known.

It wasn’t his job or business. Instead, he decided to change the lives of so many of us. What a tremendous man!

wow... normally it does not really bother me when someone I've never met dies (like a movie star or a musician or so), but this makes me truly sad. Like you said, Gary Wilson changed my life with his work in a very, very profound way and I would not be the person I am today without him and his work. RIP Gary. Thank you for everything you did.

It was his voice that made me to know about my desastreus addiction for first time. The service he rendered to the society by raising his voice against pornography was immense. This is all enough for him to go to heaven. Sir, May you attain nirvana one day 🙏🙏. Whole world thanks you. We’re sorry for your loss from Sri Lanka.

RIP Gary Wilson. A man who played as one of the many major stepping stones in my life that allowed me to change to be a better and healthier person. If it wasn't for Gary, I actually don't know what may have become of me, but one thing I know is I would probably be very depressed, and have possibly run very thin on hope. Thank you Gary, you have in my opinion, fundamentally saved a generation, and many more to come, from complete and total suffering.

Indeed. Would be hell to discover porn was poison for me, when it's so normalized. He validated and discovered the gut feelings about porn were actually a real addiction and not just intuition.

Not many people will leave a lasting legacy when they pass, but Gary doesn’t fall under that umbrella. He changed a lot of lives

Gary brought awareness of the effects of porn use to me, and countless others. He educated and didn’t ask for anything in return. The world needs men to rise up from the haze we’re in and stomping out this addiction is going to be a huge part of that. I will share his TedTalks.

Like you Noah, hearing Gary’s TED talk in 2013 precipitated changes which both revolutionised my future and made sense of my past. I don’t think we’ve yet seen just how powerful and transformative Gary’s work may turn out to be. Though his impact was huge, the task ahead is tremendous; with porn addiction still not fully recognised, the science still emerging, and a porn industry holding billions of people in their grip. We haven’t yet seen the horrors which may yet erupt from the ‘smartphone generation’. I hope you’ll continue to carry on the fight in the amazing way that you do, and that you have all the support you need to do so.

They say you have two death, when you die and when your name is said for the last time. We owe our streaks and success to Gary so let's keep him alive in our hearts for a little longer.

rest in peace Gary ... after reading his book and knew the problem and how to fix it, I quit this addiction for five months and three weeks with two relapses that's really 've changed my life thanks to Allah then this man's book ♥

This is absolutely heartbreaking. I’ve been familiar with his work for a very long time and I’ve shared it so much over the years. He had a kind consideration for people, always seemed to have a sense of humor and a self-awareness of the minefield surrounding the topic. This is a huge loss, but the world is left much better after having him in it. What an honor it must be to carry even a small part of his torch. Thank you for sharing this.

Gary was the first reference I had when I've found out what was wrong with me, my addiction. His work is so crucial and important in my life I can't even begin to say. Rest in peace Gary and all the great people that, like him, added up in knowledge and effort so that the rest of us could be in a better place.

no,no,nonono.... this is so sad, he will be remembered as hero, I have no words, that man literally saved me from suicide. But also, who is going to continue the work he was doing? He was the only one doing scientific research on porn addiction. This is bad... RIP Gary Wilson. He left a huge positive impact for society.
