Exactly, not that everyone shouldn't do what they can but the majority of the responsibility is on corporations and rich people. Shaming you for not recycling just shifts the focus down to the people who can't really do a lot about the problems. People feel guilty about what they do for the environment because they don't recycle enough or buy used but it's the big ass companies ruining it. Want people to buy and waste less shit? Then make less shit... Want less carbon emissions? Then product less carbon emissions...

I never used to be eco friendly, then my best friend nyjah walked ten miles to get to my house. When he got there he was very sweaty but he looked amazing. The way the sun was shining off of his gold medal sweat running down his bare chest. Well anyway, once he got inside he told me how much gas he saved by walking, and not only that he was saving the earth too. Gosh I knew he was a good guy but I mean, come on. He’s amazing!!! After that I really got into the spirit. I noticed he needed to rinse off and I was also a little dirty from being in the garden all day. I wasn’t planting anything, I just love being on my knees in some good soil. But since I was so inspired I knew I wanted to save the earth too. So him and I showered together. It’s a stand up bathroom and pretty small but we made it work. That’s what best bro friends do. They save the world.

i think alot of the "ewaste" problems we are having has to do with tech companies not willing to support older hardware with new software updates (obviously physical and hardware limitations apply) and designs that are repair-friendly ( or open-source schematics etc.) Also whatever time/money you would invest in "finance bros" like gary vee should just be spent at your local community college. you'd actually learn more about business and finances than what "competition" means to a dude walking around in a purple twitch hoodie Edit: tying this back to the video. Some old tech still works well I think that’s PART (not the only) reason why the VX still is successful in the skate industry. You turn it on and there’s no updates or drivers or anything just straight mechanical analog tech that won’t inevitably become a doorstop/paperweight. Same thing with music production is why engineers/producers like analog gear (besides the aesthetic) is that it will work independently until it breaks down (every time you use something there’s wear..) There’s a lot of waste in almost EVERY industry (automotive, retail, grocery (you’d be surprised)) some waste is arguably for safety standards and procedures but being mindful of your personal waste and the choices you make do have an impact locally and globally BUT you MUST continue to call out this BS.. when concerns and problems aren’t expressed and addressed change won’t be made!

I watched one video of yours a while back and thought it was negative bullshit about judging who is cool or not. I've completely changed my mind now. You actually think the same way as me in a lot of ways and the advice you give to kids is really wholesome and down to earth. There are less and less people who are willing to call out bullshit with every generation that goes by and that worries me.
