Maybe that is what sells boards, it always has been an aspect of the industry that has been hyped a little the question is how far do you want to take it. It all depends I think a lot of pedestrians expect the world around them to make up for a distinct lack of awareness of their surrounds especially in the USA everyone has responsibilities in traffic whether you walk drive etc, and honestly when your careers on the line fuck em and all it usually takes to get em to leave is this is my job and I'm not stopping, which most pros will always throw out

Here’s my Berrics take: They’ve sold out. Commercialized skating and there’s no benefits to anyone other than the their personal bank account. If the goal was to get widespread endorsement and higher pay for team riders both pro & am I could respect going mainstream. Skateboarding was ridiculed and mocked for over 5 decades. We don’t need outsiders to thrive and survive. The core culture is dying. We used to stand for revolution and rebellion now we’re all political and actually care what the world thinks about us.
