This is so good that I'm not sure the CR-78 and Polymoog 280a are with the Odyssey to real. I might be wrong.
@PaulKingsleyHurst
7 жыл бұрын
All instrumentation is from software. The CR78 is made up from single samples, the CP30 was a Pro53 as was the Voxhumana. Odyssey solo was done on a GForce Oddity vst synth.

One of my fav G.N. tunes. I always knew , it was Billy Currie from Ultravox playing this solo, but was it really a Pearlman synth and not a Solina ??? I wonder....
@PaulKingsleyHurst

Yamaha CP30 Piano and Polymoog 280a Voxhumana played by Chris Payne and the strings in the verse was Elka Rhapsody with the solo played on an ARP Odyssey mkii by Billie Currie. The Solina was a string/brass ensemble instrument made by ARP too, but not capable of creating this solo sound.

this is clearly Billy Currie Playing this Part you can hear his typical Ultravox Screaming Synthi Sound Trademark Gary Numann was always a big Fan of Billy Curries Keyboard Skills he openly admitted this way back in the late 70s..... ? He ask Billy to join him on Tour 1979 & Play Synthis on Cars and Tracks I belive.he was involved too ....? You can see Billiy on the " Cars " Video ...
