171 DISLIKES? What is wrong with you people? Gary Moore was probably the best Blues/rock guitarist ever to have walked this Earth. I wish I had even one percent of his guitar ability. RIP Gary, you legend ..

Austin Davies haha, I know! I just said the same to a guy who said it was at 199 & I just saw it at 280plus. Clearly, there's nearly 300 idiots watching KZread, with no conception of an instrument called the guitar (strats, tele's, gold tops, SG's, etc) no idea where Chicago is, no idea of the genesis of blues music from African tribal rhythms, etc. You simply can't help some people, lol!

The absolute GOAT. Noone can touch him, even great modern players like Govan, Miller, Sfogli etc. The emotion, the passion, the phrasing, the atmosphere the note choice, the expressiveness, the intensity, the diversity...simply from another planet. RIP Gary
This Cat was from another Universive! I'm not kidding!! His talent was on loan from God! Incredible! R.I.P. Gary!!! You were the 100% absolute best!

Nicest compliment I ever heard about Mr Gary Moore was that when he picked up any guitar he BECAME the Guitar... I digress.. ;)
Whoever’s reading this, I pray that whatever your going through gets better and whatever your struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day!
This was AWESOME !!!!!! Virtually flawless.. !!!!!! Gary always rocks...... when he's playin' the Blues.....he's at his best ............all the time !!!!!
He was a master of tone control...note his right hand while playing,he's not hitting bs peddles ,he's using his pots to control the beast in him... Simply awesome thanks for the post
Of all the guitarists in the world Gary Moore is one of the most aggressive, yet he can change to smooth, quiet and melodic at the drop of a hat, and often within the same solo.
Gary had complete mastery of his instrument. Legend. Taken from us far too soon. RIP Gary. I miss you.
Gary Moore was simply amazing a truly brilliant guitarist
You had Gary and then everyone else who wished they could play like Gary.... undoubtedly the greatest blue's rock player to ever pick up the instrument.....🎸🎸🎸

In 2022 my tears still falling, and done just now today a tattoo for him on my arm
He had no problem getting as many notes in a measure as any shredder. . . but I am not sure that any shredder could put as much emotional expression in one note as Gary . . . his tone was exquisite on every guitar that ended up in his hands. . .
This guy had it all!!!! Simply the best, end of discussion.
Wow, Tremendous performance! Gary was taken way too early, his style and voice...beyond words. R.I.P. up there with B.B. King, Stevie Ray and all others who played flawlessly and influentually!

Grew up listening to gary moore .hendrix ..john mayall and the blues bteakers ..srv ..johnny Winter.. great times and this brings back my teenage years ..fabulous ..beautiful master of the blues .. From Australia
Gary did not have the right to die. Frank Sinatra, BB. King, and Gary should live forever. They will never be forgotten. Thank you, Elena, for posting this video. God must be extremely fond of the very best music, though.
Between 10-18mins of this video, Gary gives a perfect demonstration of everything a Les Paul can be. It can be beautiful, It can be haunting & It can be a screaming Power house! I reckon Gary & Ted McCarty are discussing this fondly in Heaven as we speak! Truly great Gary, on so many levels.

Gibson & Gary together form an unbeatable duo! I love his way of making his guitar talk, sing, laugh, cry! An unattainable and inimitable style!

I just recently discovered Gary Moore even though I knew his music from when he was in Thin Lizzy, I never knew it was him. He was taken from the music world way too soon. He definitely should have been more famous as a guitarist than Eddie VanHalen, Peter Frampton, or Ted Nugent, and deserves to be recognized as one of the best, if not THE BEST of all time.

One of the most beautiful and tasteful players ever, such tasteful phrasing. He may not have the arsenal of techniques as someone like Govan or Holdsworth or lane. all the time I can cry when I hear this legend, its fantastic and touch my heart so much, incredible Garry R.I.P. I love it
Nice, I've always loved Gary's music and just could never get over how under rated and unsung he was. Now he and BB King, another long time favorite of mine, both gone. And mark my words here; WE ARE SO FORTUNATE to have recordings of his performances and voice and music. As well, BB Left the legacy of a true KING and his stage presence, wit and sense of humor, as well as his incredible musical prowess continue to fascinate young and old. How many musicians were famous for so long and so popular for so many generations and played it till the day he died and on stage and plentiful well paying gigs his whole life like that, never going out of style or worrying about fading from the public eye and heart RIP Guys, we'll be playing yer music till the day we die. Thank You 4 posting this.
a great blues guitarist will often sound like a horn man... the strength and purity of moore's sound is of legend
Gary was the best blues guitarist this planet has ever known, BB King loved him, I remember a comment made by him while he was playing on a show with Gary, "you're hot tonight young man" nothing compares, fastest lead licks I've ever heard and I've had the honour to hear him live at the UEA Norwich, I was absolutely devastated to hear that he had passed away while on holiday all those years ago now, I love all music, but when you hear Gary, it absolutely blows you away, makes me wonder, when I listen to the blues show on BBC radio 2 with the Mathew's girl, whether she has ever heard of the King of the blues, Gary Moore suppose suppose suppose I am 69
addicted with his heavenly/hellish playing forever.....
cannot stop listening to his beautiful songs
The feeling between gary and bb is just 🤩🤩🤩🤩
R.I.P Gary, You're Still The Best...💯🙏💔
Good God, the first song make my hair stand stand up all over my body, three times. What an incredible guitarist.
AMAZING SOLO'S!! Gary is one of my favourite guitar players. and he is also the reason that I picked up the guitar. RIP Gary, thanks for the music! I love it!
The first few seconds are BB King licks, but man does Gary just squeeze and wring the hell out of those notes. I've played those licks a hundred thousand time, but never with the fury Gary put into them. I'm having a blast trying to play like him. Gary certainly knew pain and how to express it in music. I've studied Gary's playing for many years and have been near but will never have his attack it is punishing! I learned to play some of one of his tracks and in the end I had to just run through the phrasing without worrying about the notes, with that attack and tone and then I gradually sorted out the note placements and it really worked for me, it was phrasing first then the technique. Gary was a true master at phrasing and passages, lightning fast and so dynamic, my hero in fact.
