pat barry is such a world class fighter, he notices that gary has a cut in a middle of a blITZ!! thats just pure sportsman ship there. became a total fan of him after seeing pat vs cro cop. i wish i knew about pat when i first started watching mma.

That Goodridge ate that head kick and stayed standing is a feat in itself. Pat throws nuclear missiles for head kicks.

Pat Barry's legs look like huge meat clubs, yet he kicks with incredible speed and flexibility. I would not want to be kicked by him.

If my memory serves me correct I believe he had 3 leg kick finishes in mma. He threw them with such velocity and power that it was almost scary to watch.

Gary is a tough guy who always comes to fight and has been in there with the best. But he's an aging brawler and doesnt have much left, he's certainly no bum though and far tougher and more skilled then you'll ever be.

Gary is gonna be the new posterchild for MMA head trauma. It sounds like I am just trolling him, but seriously, there will be a lot of coverage at some point about how this guy was allowed to fight too long and the effects it had on his brain. Good Luck to ya man, I am sorry you went so long.

By the time Pat made it to the UFC, he already had quite a bit of mileage on him. He was well known for hard sparring and never wearing headgear also, saying it made his head movement lazy. Prior to the UFC, he was an extremely dangerous kickboxer. Imo he should have stayed with standup fighting, he'd have had a better career.

my cousin's boyfriend saw gary like days before he fought. they were eying each other out even though my cousin's boyfriend was really scared he never show it. then before gary goodridge left the hospital(he was there for like check if he's in good enough condition to fight) he shook my cousin's boyfriend's hand and said good luck with having your baby and then my cousin's boyfriend said good luck in your fight and then they both left the hospital

@AmericanMuscle305 its around this time that people started to notice that Gary was changing, personally. It was 4 years after this that he was diagnosed with CTE, pugilistic dementia. He now has to deal with that every day for the rest of his life. He was taken advantage of for some time because promotions knew they were gonna get a KO on the card. He's paying for that now. Please choose your words carefully and do not call this man a chump.

@0000borees0000 he's the same age as anderson silva. 35 is a fine age for fighters. a little older and i might agree with you. he has a lot of experience with striking and had recently put on a large amount of muscle which is needed to compete against the gorillas in the heavyweight division.

Gary was a really exciting fighter in his day, but at this point he probably shouldn't have been in the ring anymore. He was tough enough that he would basically get out there and get wailed on for a round or two before he got knocked out or injured. I know it was ultimately his decision, but someone should have tried to stop him from taking more damage.

@0000borees0000 this is incorrect. cro cop is only 35, the same age as anderson silva. he's put on some serious that's needed to compete at heavy weight and has more skill than any striker (cept maybe cain v) at heavyweight. he will be a force.
