Have loved Trisha and Garth's music since I first heard them. The best! And at least one of their daughters can sing, too! Watched her sing the lighthouse song she attributed to her grandmother on the two part special with G & T (and Sandy and the girls, and more). Got to me! Looking forward to hearing more from the whole family as they continue to grow and evolve. The music really lives strong in this family.

@seamus1956

As long as iTunes sells music by the song it will never happen. Garth is a firm believer that it disrespects the artist by not requiring album sales - to get the hits you gotta take the rest of the music as well.

I hadn’t heard that one, but it wouldn’t surprise me any. My ex BIL and his wife went to one of his concerts, many, many moons ago. As my BIL was leaving, he slipped down the stairs and broke his leg, and elbow. Garth, had “his people” take my BIL to the hospital, paid for his hospital bill, and then (about 6 weeks later) sent him 2 tickets and backstage passes to a second concert.

Another true story, about Garth. That was a personal experience for me. Would be the time he held the door open for me at the Olive Garden at Utica Square in Tulsa. Needless to say, I had no idea who he was when this took place. Neither did I recognize Trisha Yearwood. Well until some lady told me who they were. Because I honestly didn't know who they were. Needless to say that lady was obsessively excited, that she could let me know who they were. Although I will say this, he would not let the hostess, cut them in front of everyone else ahead of them. So he is alright in my book, as a person. Because he didn't have to do anything for anyone. However, when I talk about the experience, I refer to him as the doorman. Hey, possibly a song in that. Garth Brooks sings, "they call me the doorman". Hey before you knock it, he probably could make it a hit song. I mean he did sing as Chris Gaines. And people ate that up as well.

The families need closure
When I lived in a small town in Texas we had street dances on the down town square. Garth was HOT then and his songs were always played at those fun dances. Whenever I hear one of his old songs, it brings back great memories of cold beer, warm nights, visiting with neighbors, lots of people who knew how to dance and have fun plus the year we all stopped dancing and watched a couple on the upper floor of the court house in a dimly lit room having sex on the desk unaware that hundreds were watching them. It was a scandal of course but mainly because that couple both had spouses-the guy a wife, the woman a husband-who that night learned their spouses were having an affair. Their phones rang off the hook with eager people wanting to tell them about that x rated show in the court house. Talk of the town for months. Good times.
King david danced still does like Garth does!
He just may be the highest and tightest ever.
