I have seen the Quandale Dingle. I have seen the Obunga. I have even seen the ishowspeed, the Better Call Saul, etc. What I have RARELY if ever seen, is some of these fantastic Nextbots with genuine animations, terrifying sounds, and CURSED designs. This is Garry's Mod, and this is pure horror.

Nextbots were originally 3D models, then some dumb person decided they should be floating PNGs, which weren't scary and were just boring and sometimes even annoying monsters. It's good to see that people are finally making 3D Nextbots again.

Alright, absolutely amazing short film you included there. I didn’t even think you could do that on GMod first person recording. For the other segments, flash drive hunt was funny in the way that I liked you mocking horror cliches. Also, here’s a recommendation; try the backrooms smiler nextbot. The AI there is insane. It purposefully hides in corners and jumps at you when near. Absolutely terrifying at the right spot. You can also shoot it making for a fun survival game. You’ll know it’s the right nextbot if it has spawn protection when you die and tells you to check corners after it’s over. I’ll try to post a link, only bad thing about the bot is that it’s a PNG like the others but the AI makes it worthwhile. Keep up the great work, and happy hunting, STALKER.

@@abubakerisam9240 Nextbots are a type of AI. Just because the entities aren't PNGs that chase you doesn't mean they aren't Nextbots. Nextbots are much more than that. They are an advanced AI system used by many source games, such as Garry's Mod, that utilizes navigation meshes to analyze the terrain and determine the quickest and easiest possible path towards the player character. One of the most prominent usages of the Nextbot AI system is in the Mann vs. Machine mode for TF2. Valve initially had the problem where Source AI's usage of air nodes wasn't effective in TF2 maps which ended up preventing the bots from navigating the advanced maps of MvM appropriately and put pressure on players, so Valve started using the Nextbot AI system to allow the robots to effectively navigate around the more complex MvM maps significantly less trouble.
The alien: isolation motion tracker seems to be the only way to survive next bots. Allows you to see which direction they are moving in even when behind walls which is the only reason people get caught off guard, they lose sight of it and then it sneaks up on them
Holy shit that short horror film actually caught me off gaurd a few times with how scary it is, it's hard to find that level of tension building in many PROFFESSIONAL horror shorts, and the fact you managed to do it in Gmod? Hella impressive, can't wait to see more.

That horror short reminded me another creator I saw once who also made short first-person horror videos in Garry's Mod (a creator I failed to appreciate at the time and have had no luck in finding my way back). Any chance you'll do some more of those? That was fantastic.

This is better than those heavily scripted youtube channels that pretend to be legit, this is just a lot of random shenanigans and such, so much more entertaining! 7:31 How did you rotate that without the Phys Gun? Only wish my game could run without stuttering like crazy when I spawn a single nextbot... or to an absolute crawl with more than one :/ You must have a beefy PC, considering you were also running that snow map that has insane performance issues.

I remember the time of the horror ghost hunt maps. Loads of fun with friends making an operation base and sending friends in an exploration team. I miss those so much.

First-time viewer to this channel. I really like the mix in this video of just playing around with the NPCs and serious immersive horror shorts (Lights Out had me on the edge of my seat). It really has this nice variety and shows what Gmod as a game is all about.

@@absoluteandrew398 my guess is that they saw how the sanic reskin escape by Rogurt blew up and wanted the same expirience. And also: sanic reskins seem more aggresive, always instakill, throw props around more and emmit funny noises, rather than scary sounds

Can someone tell me what the mods were in this video? Specifically things like the ability to peak around corners and also whatever the dark NPC was that was chasing him in the lights out section. I am still watching the "Lights out" part as you are reading this and the situation actually seems like it is from a horror movie. I'm currently at the part where they are hiding behind a crate or something in the attic. It is honestly horrifying.

@@TOTYamki The tracker used is called "Alien: Isolation - Motion Tracker" It was made by someone called Wheatley and it was made to detect the spooky Xenomorph but has been basically remade in Garry's Mod to work on all of the NPCs.

that horror short was amazing! in my personal opinion i feel that right before the monster got to them they got the last shot.
That motion tracker going off in multiple directions gave me Anxiety I've never felt before
5:20 that moment when you couldn't open the trap xD, so much tension lmao. I almost said "screamed Cmon man !!!!"

It was interesting to see how you incorporated the mini movie into the gameplay in the middle, I’d say it was a little too long which broke the pacing of the gameplay a bit since it took up the majority of the video, though I don’t know if creating that into two seperate videos would’ve gained as much attention Either way I thoroughly enjoyed the video, good job! :)
