Things I’ve learned watching this video 1. Kliener has developed a very slow teleport 2. The Combine Rewarded Somebody with power (good god!) 3. Father Gregori, Breen, and Gman Killed Mossman 4. Father Gregori lit an house on fire 5. Breen dies 6. You jump off of a building 10/10 Best Character Development i have ever seen

No, you see, you just don't get it. This mod is purposefully made so vague and bare-bones because the hidden artistic message it intends to convey is just too much for us philistines. Maybe in like 100 years we will evolve enough to process it.

everything about this mod screams its made by a child, there's the obvious stuff from the lack of quality to the lack of understanding how to use the hammer editor and source tools. But my favorite give away of this is how comically oversized the environments seem to be, almost as if the person who created the maps was smaller and so their sense of scale doesn't make sense when you're put into the perspective of a fully grown man like gordon.

@@Dankboi68 I also work in hammer and this isn't really a problem I have most of the time. The doors are the biggest case of this and if you're not careful that can effect the rest of your scale, but doors are that big because of player hit boxes and gameplay not cause of hammer making things seem bigger. People generally don't like bumping their heads on doors especially cause so many just sprint and hop through source games so the doors are made bigger so players don't have their momentum randomly killed by the top of their collission being caught on the door frame while hopping through. In reality once you establish a good frame of reference for scale by placing down a player spawn or ragdoll that's about the same size as the player, you just have to follow that reference in order to get things down. This isn't cause hammer makes things seems bigger because you could just as easily make things too small without a proper reference. I have done both in the past. I don't even know how hammer could make things seem smaller to you because until you start making stuff you're just in a black void.

This is either made by a child or is an incredible troll. I lean towards child because the quality just barely improves towards the end and they forgot to go back and change the earlier 'levels'.

truly is a war crime for that mod to exist

don't see no war crimes here, it's just a first mod made by someone who is not very knowledgeable and probably underage, in source sdk, the worst games/mods are those that were made with actual effort put into it

The captions are big because of the Steam Deck update, which affects mods that use the base game directly and not the SDK Base.

not gonna lie i still think hunt down the freeman is worse then this, because at least this is just some innocent map maker with 0 experience, hunt down the freeman on the other hand had some actual bad stuff happening (wheres our money graffiti is the most i remember from it)

this mod is a cinematic masterpiece, I loved the ground breaking environmental story telling provided, the smart AI, everything about this mod is fantastic. the storyline is beautifully written, it makes me shed a tear. absolutely beautiful.

Honestly respect to the kid for tackling Source engine Hammer of all things to learn. Idk why he uploaded it, but it's fine learning tools... Now, he really should of started with Portal 2's map maker instead 😆

I think this might legit be an 11-13 year old's first Source SDK project because the slow progress in learning how to use it map by map is too consistent. You can witness the creator discovering how to make it do vaguely what they want with your own fuckin' eyes. This is a mod absolutely made with a tutorial right next to the editor.

Honestly I don't want to be mean but why did they put this out there? I understand everyone has to start somewhere but they had to know this was bad even as a first time mapper right? I can see why having bad lighting or a poor map layout would be ok for a first time user but stuff like no loading triggers between maps and looping dialog is stuff I'd assume everyone would notice.
