    Honestly, The expansions all had their ups, even with the uhh... less than satisfactory ones *cough* BFA and Shadowlands *cough*. WoD was a fun start, but filled with so many broken promises, rushed lore, and mindless grinding. The actual levelup story was fun. But the post game was... lack luster. But it did actually have great moments in between disappointment. Garrosh's death was surprisingly emotional and well done. the end cinimatic in Talador was really well done, and was great on its own. The raids weren't bad on there own, just lack luster. The fun dialog we got between Thrall and his parents. Yrel's early game story was good (rushed the second half, but first half was good). And Grom was surprisingly well written for the mess he was later in. Cata was fun, and had a lot of good ideas. But it bogged down raiding for some people. Sure, the game was more accessible, and proper good gear came from actually forming up raids and doing them properly, but it did implement the mess that was the original lfg and lfr. The lore was also a let down at the end, as killing Deathwing did feel like Thrall stole it from us. BFA, while a let down, actually had good decisions. Sylvanis going evil will always be divisive among fans, but it was foreshadowed as early as Cata. And they never hid the fact she was an antihero at best before that. The story also had good beats, like Saurfang's story. That said, N'zoth felt uneeded. Azhara was horribly shown off. And she didn't get to be the big bad of an expansion, like prior expansions played her out to be. Add in the grind for allied races, which was, in some cases, longer than it needed to be, and you get an expansion that honestly had too much bad to be fun. Which only got to be worse cause it came off Legion, which was an actual fun expansion in both levelup and post game. It had a few minor messups, like giving up our weapons to dealwith Sargarous's blade, but was still fun. And finally, the "cinematics" like Garrosh's second death makes these moments feel... insulting to what they are trying. Honestly, we have seen them do good cinematics, and beautiful cinematics. Hell, people get hyped on expansions because of the promo cinematics. Even expansions that flop get hype rolling because of them. Cata, BfA, Shadowlands, and WoD all have beautiful promo cinematics. Heck, we have seen in game cinematics, like in WoD that, while not as good, made you feel like your journey to get that far was worth it to some degree. These though, which have been used in mass across modern WoW, but really took over in BfA, rob you of it. hell, even BfA gave us more in game cinimatics than Shadowlands. And better ones on top of that. All said, the lore can still be saved through a Star Wars style show. Add in a few details here and there, replace a few let downs with more detailed story, and boom, you can salvage these messes.

    the best part about Garrosh as a villain was that you knew exactly what his goals were and you didnt have to read 15 different books to understand his story. Instead of twirling his moustache and plotting 24 different schemes, he would rip your moustache off and spit in your face.

    If anything, we can see Sylvanas here already indifferent and taking a cynic approach to the Horde and life as well, I suppose. Can't say much about already having the plan in motion, but wouldn't be surprised. Actually, after watching this, doesn't seem that characters were that badly written. Garrosh was here for what, 2-3 xpacs? The others have been here for years, it would be bad writing if they had a linear and stale personality imo. They went through things, experiences. For me it's just a shame that Blizzard features characters in some xpacs and totally 'forget' about their existence in the universe. Like Khadgar, Velen. The world of the living and the dead is hanging by a thread but Khadgar only gives a shit if the threat is the Burning Legion xD

Most of the political ideological subversion is financed by special interest groups that usually fund big corporations, in this case Activision so much money that profits from consumers become second priority and appeasing these investors become main priority. This ideological subversion is going to end when we get a new Order out of the chaos.. Ordo ab Chao. A Great Reset if you will. I always hated how they ended him off. Completely different character in Mists as opposed to Cataclysm. He had a good story going... From TBC, him hating the name Hellscream and having anything to do with his father, to learning what his father did and became proud of his name, to be taken under Thralls wing in Wrath to becoming the Warchief even though he didn't want to and thought he wasn't ready... He was actually showing a lot of growth in Cata i.e Stonetalon or Silverpine forest. They just completely flipped him around out of nowhere and ruined the lore from there. The story has never been good since and its a shame cause it honestly seems irreversible now.

    @@BlueShellshock The thing is though, Garrosh, at the end of the day, is indeed a true orc. But many people really failed to realize that a true orc is actually not something they are going to like. What is a true orc? It is someone who values strength above all else, his/her dream is live and die on the battlefield. Sounded romantic until you realize that is a creature that will create war and bloodshed even if a sane mind will likes to simply live. And even uglier side of all this is that the players, as someone who really is only playing a video game, likes to have a boss who will screaming war and brutally murder the other faction. However, the moment the writers tries to add a bit realism on what that actually means, people realized maybe it it doesn't taste so good. What people chalks up as bad writing, is actually people tasting a bit more realism.

No honor, save in the 2 moments in his life the writers wrote him with it, no common sense, all angry teen with venting and hatred and no real purpose behind it all. He's a child. His soul death was cool and very in character, which is good, but he wasn't that compelling a villain when we had him. And he NEVER represented the Horde. All he represents is what Sylvanes represented when she led. People who want to play a game where they are the cause of suffering in the lives of others. Plenty of people can play bad guys and be good people. I play villain characters all the time in D&D to spice it up. But to INSIST that said characters had values, when Garrosh literally abandoned all of his at the end to drink Old God blood. He is truly of the Horde only in the sense that he was willing to make the same mistake his father did. But unlike Garrosh, Grom, the guy who KICKED CENARIUS' ASS, regretted the demon blood and reflected upon his mistakes. That is what it means to be Horde. Do what needs doing but recognize when it doesn't. Warlords actually did the Horde better then every other expansion before or since with Durotar and his brother.

That's why he kept doing worse and worse things, enslaving the magnataur's children (POV character saw him sigh at that, and commented in his thoughts "how poor their warchief was, that for the sake of Horde he was willing to do such unhonorable things; ugh), mana bomb (and to his credit, he did try to minimize civilian casualties by giving Theramore time to evacuate them), the assassination of Vol'jin.

    @zazi5305

    @@dimitrijleus You say this, but unfortunately no. There is a stark contrast before Mists and after Mists in his character. Reading the novels just widens the gap significantly, with the books in Cata and before Cata characterizing him as someone who didn't want to rule, who didn't feel ready, who only wanted others to help him, guide him amd teach him so that he may be a better leader, who valued true Honour above all, who really hoped he could do right by and for his people, THE HORDE. Suddenly however, during Mists he becomes this evil, twisted being who sends out assassination squads against those who even speak again st his decisions, who is constantly seeking war, who for whatever reason suddenly discards every lesson he had learned up to that point for the sake of... Conquering the world, I guess? Even though the situation at home has really only gotten worse, something he was determined to do his best to resolve properly if he could before even considering the idea of War, before. And, worst of all, he doesn't view the Horde as his people anymore, now he only views the ORCS as his people. Some of these contrasts can be explained by the involvement, or mostly lack thereof, of other characters, admittedly. Thrall just thrusting Warchief on Garrosh despite Garrosh pleading for him to choose somebody more ready and able, such as "why not Cairn?! He understands what it means to be Horde, has the experience and values all." Then all his advisors just kinda' ditching him because they felt he was too young, even though the whole point of them was to guide him BECAUSE he was too young, then the constant manipulations and betrayals by smaller factions which only increase his paranoia tenfold. Thrall never responding to his pleas for advice and help, Cairn never even trying to explain things to him because he just assumed his thoughts would be ignored even though Garrosh was actively asking for outside input, Vol'Jinn just straight-up skipping all previous steps of advising and just promising him his death in his sleep if he screwed the Trolls over, instead of, y'know... Helping him understand the situation better?

    TBH I have to congratulate Blizz for being consistent with Garrosh since Pandaria. Sure, Cata Garrosh is different but this ending is really fitting his character. He believed in his cause and died with this conviction. Also, I got to agree. In TBC it was Thrall who told him stories of orcs on Azeroth and who built this orc pride in him, so he was right that it was Thrall who made him. No sign of Saurfang yet. But there is the remnant of Nerzhul that we fight in the raid.

    All these people saying "RIP" in the comments section are nonbelievers. Garrosh does not die, he simply takes a vacation so his enemies have time to prepare for his return.

    I have so many questions. Do anyone else remember that Stonetalon Mountains quest in Cataclysm where Garrosh acted all benevolent, honorable and mercyful? Because if he is willing to do the same all over again, that event alone would be counterproductive. And didn't Garrosh died in alternate Draenor? Does that mean that the multiverse deaths goes all to the same afterlife? We should be having three Blackhands then. The classic one, the alternate Draenor and the one from the Warcraft film.

    Funny that most of the alternate timeline foreseen by the bronze dragons Garrosh was described as the Greatest warchief horde ever had. He brought peace and prosperity to the horde and led both the horde and the alliance alongside Varian against the burning legion and won bringing in peace and prosperity upon Azeroth.

    Well, no matter what thoughts people have on Garrosh... we can now all say he that he died (again?) as he lived... belligerent and angry... and also mad at Thrall.

    He’d already died, and knew that if he died then it would mean complete erasure. Regardless, he still decided to go out doing the one thing he ever cared for, the one thing he took pride in with all of his being; he gave one last fight for the horde he loved so dearly
