    Now' speaking from the point of view of someone who has never been metal detecting in his life (yet) I would dig that grunt all day long! But that's just me, as soon as the detector made a noise I'd probably dig it! lol

    Thanks for the demonstrations, I’m considering this model as my first ever purchase as a potential newbie. I’m a veteran diagnosed with complex PTSD and need to find an hobby which is outdoors. I'm glad its helped, my son uses this now and he found a 13th century book mount last weekend.. (video coming soon) Have a look at my channel, I have a few videos about mental health and wellbeing as I also need an outdoor hobby to keep me grounded. I have a disability and so know a little of what it's like to feel "stuck" inside. Thanks for watching.

    Some interesting tests there, that stock coil is quite limited in regards depth, hence why the larger Nel coils are so popular with Ace owners. The Pro-Formance DD coil on the 400i is a better stock coil, it makes a significant difference. Thanks for the video. ATB MMMD

    Well... The 300i is newer, and so the tech is more upto date. But the 350 has a better coil. The DD. (double d} if I had my way I'd have 300 with a DD coil or a NEL coil. Seen then in action and that seriously up the performance. Suppose the way to think of it is like this, if you get a 350 it's better to start with but it's old and will never really improve it. If you get a 300i it's great to start with and if you want you can upgrade the coil at a later date and improve it beyond what the 350 is. But that's just my humble opinion :)

    15:55 I disagree, I would, out in the field with the same scenario and with your demonstration (a constant detection with a low tone) because it's repetative over a localised area, ide want to dig. Also because there's few conflicting tones In the area and soil is coming up clean. I would trowel some soil away and re scan. Or use a pin pointer or Pro pointer. I guess thats a learning curve and it's what you learn before advancing to more powerful deeper detecting and detectors with more advanced functions.

    I'm gettin frustrated I have a 400i witha Nell storm coil. I've had 1 silver about 4to 6 inches and 7 silvers at the same depth. And loads of 1900 pennies. I'm gettin frustrated as I cant find confidence videos on KZread. The grunt of that florin is unreal. To me your video tells me to dig everythin. I'm only digging 83s as there commen for coins. My little 7 silvers all together didnt come up as a double dinger. I'm just gettin frustrated as the land I have permission on has loads of history and I mean lots. There was a old hall and that was built on a old abbey site. Even Henry 8th had a hunting lodge close by. General Charles Lee lived in the hall. And alls I've found is pennies I think over the years the grounds have been hammered.

    And why knock off two bars of sensitivity if u don't have to. Run it max all metal. That's machines full potential, which is what a depth test should be about, good video, but that is my two cents

    Im absolutely know nothing about meal detectors so I might be wrong but You say this is a great detector , but Your test shows something actualy opposite ..🤔🤔??

  • @GrowYourOwnLife

    @GrowYourOwnLife

    A detector isn't a magic wand to lead you to treasure, so you have to learn the sounds. So it's about learning that not eveything will "ping up" a solid ID. This decors is £250 and is great for beginers to better it your looking at spending at least twice that. In my opinion. So it's up to you to weigh up what you want. By all means go and spend £800 but unless you walk over gold you won't find it, 25% of detecting is luck 50% is time the other 25% is the machine and how you use it. 😁 Someone with a cheap machine who spends 10hrs a weeks digging hundreds of signals will always do better than someone with a £1000 machine who goes out once a month. But then there's always someone who goes out once and luckily walks over a hoard of coins.
