Not bad looking so far. They give a 30 day trial and the app is free to download. You can't try safe taxi and there is a pre loaded flight plan that I can't seem to get rid of, but it is only a demo.

Nice lookng but not ready for primetime yet. I figured out that you need to do a new plan to change the DEP and DEST airports. However, somehow it changed the destination airport to a VOR after putting and changing the flightplan. Couldn't get rid of it, had to do a new plan. The Garmin UI designers need to fly with the thing in real life scenarios. Foreflight is definitely more mature for now.

I have tried, ForeFlight and WingX, I like Garmin Pilot the best. Here’s my problem with Garmin Pilot, and it’s a big one. Using iPad, I find myself frequently having to tap on the display to find out the air space limitations. So let’s say I am flying under class B airspace. I must tap once to bring up a icon, and then tap on a certain part of that icon to show me the class B altitudes. Using my 10 YEAR OLD iPaq and Anywhere Map it shows me air space limitations right on the display (all the time), just as a sectional paper map does. Shockingly, Garmin Pilot does not do this. Despite having a much larger and sharper iPad display to utilize.

My two questions. Is it worth the extra $30/year over Foreflight (that is comparing both at their most expensive. At the most basic, Pilot is $10/year more, which, although not really worth worrying about, I would want something for it.) Although Android support may make it worth it... Last Question. Can you install on multiple devices like Foreflight? If you have an iPad and an iPhone, for example, you can have both versions. If so, can you install cross-platform, ie android and iPad?

I've got garmin pilot in my iPad and when I try to add a wait point and I type the cordinates it sets the wait point far away from my coordinates, can anyone help me with that?

This space is now full-blown competitive. The lead Foreflight had is pretty much over courtesy of mega-corporations throwing big resources at tablet software.
