driving south on the 101 into LA at 5:00 AM jacked on Red Bull watching the sunrise. Makes one feel young and thankful even though the trip of life has been rough at times.

My little sister showed me this song a long time ago before she passed away. I sit here, with her picture on the wall, listening to the song, and the hope that I will get to see her again someday.

I started listening to trance about 8 years ago. I needed something new and different. What I was listening to had beats and melodies, but it was getting stale. Artists with new names were coming in, but they sounded just like the last ones. This, the original Concrete Angel, was among the first 5 trance songs I heard. I got goosebumps. I still do. Every time I hear it, I reach for the volume up knob. Nobody sings it like Christina Novelli, and nobody mixes it like Gareth Emery. fwiw, I'm 61 years old.

I'm listening to this epic at least once very week. Still. In this specific mix. But haven't watched the video for quite some time, so suddenly realised I needed to come back and do just that. Remembering the sensation of discovering this on KZread first time ten years ago sends shivers down my spine. It was an emotional earth-quake moment for me, and Christina instantly became what she always was since then. My No. 1 for trance vocals. She's actually done even greater work in later years, but this was the eye-opener. And such a fantastic song and mix in its own right, even looking beyond Christina's vocals (if that's even possible).
