    Garchomp is my main. He works so well when you’re able to get a couple kills early in the lane. The ability to solo things like Drednaw and Zapdos QUICKLY is extremely powerful. I can take down Drednaw solo while the other 4 on my team defend the lanes. It’s huge.

    Yeah, Garchomp was perfectly captured in this game. From totally useless baby to Kaiju. Its annoying to go in teams with multiple attackers, as they always try to get the last hit and take the exp… Garchomp’s need for meat is very intensive, and such allies really slow you down.

    i get around this with Exp Share. Granted, it's definitely suboptimal to having charitable/sensible teammates, and takes up one good item slot that could have gone to Buddy Barrier or sth, BUT let's face facts: better to assume that pub is intrinsically selfish, than feed as a gabite. Exp share also gives passive speed, and so replace your Float Stone with it; once u get your Dig/Rush, that speed difference isn't going to hurt you as much. If I start the match and see that my team has a ton of hard carries, i usually yield the jungle to them, put on my Exp share, and go to top/bot. Either that, or bite my lip and switch to Slowbro. This. Is. Pub.

    I usually run Garchomp with a rather offensive score-dependant set, using Attack Weight and Aeos Biscuit, as well as float stone. So score-quantity really matters for me, which is kinda hard sometimes. Especially for earlier game i like to use X attack to do some more damage if i have to fight. In terms of moves I prefer Dragon Rush and Quake, although I have to say that I haven't tried Dragon Claw yet.

    8:18 Just had a ranked game today where I killed a Zeraora while it was untargetable, Rough Skin was returning damage mid Wild Charge. Love this passive. I think it's about 25% of damage taken that's reflected by the way. Pretty huge on a speedster's health pool especially when Garchomp is also tearing into you and healing back.

    My first Garchomp game was also my most satisfying. The feeling of ALL of your enemies attacking Zapdos, oblivious to my presence, with all my teammates on respawn timers... The feeling of using the Dragon Rush-Dragon Claw combo on Zapdos and stealing the KO, completely crushing their morale... the feeling of winning purely because of my stealth. I know that you can use other Pokemon to steal Zapdos, but Garchomp was the first time I did that exact thing.

    @@spragels I love that you mentioned that each move has its benefits. Garchomp is my favourite Pokémon but it's hard to really say that either one of his choices has an obvious winner. My take on it is that Dig is good for people who want to dive and challenge you due to the invulnerability, higher damage and damage reduction upgrade, while Rush's distance helps you dive and maybe create picks by dragging somebody heavily out of position. Earthquake is great general AoE and for getting his basics online as fast as possible because he gets multiple different damage benefits when they are, while Claw again has pick potential. The three hits from the Rush/Claw combo are identical to the ones from Rush/Claw itself, including Claw's hits being able to crit, with the advantage that everybody swept up by Rush takes the Claw damage and it has this pretty cool animation of Garchomp and the swept up targets being airborne for a moment before he spikes them with the second claw attack, so the CC is slightly harder and enemies can't fall out of your Claw's second hit like they can do when you use it normally.

    Ugh, of all videos to be late to, the GARCHOMP one?! Sad. Good commentary, loved this one. I think the reason Garchomp has "turn on" feeling is because he is so linear, everything he does involves moving forward so he has to "stat check" in every fight Question of the video: Great 3, I'm a Garchomp one trick but not very good at surviving the early game which is a huge problem

    Great video! What should I do if my teammates keep stealing my farm? There was a match where I was bottom with a Venusaur, and at some point I felt like he was straight up trolling me. He would follow me around, even on jungle, and always last hit the wild pokemon. That hurt me in a way that I simply couldn't level up. I got so fed up that I abandoned bottom lane, and went on to look for farm on the top lane. His wave clear is so weak early game that any attacker may last hit if they want.

    I feel part of Garchomp's later on high level kit will be dig. I know at the moment it isn't anything special but part of the meta of this game rn is I-Frames. Dig gives I-Frames, and if someone has the game sense to see like a sludge bomb coming from Gengar or a gank or something. They can use Dig and utilize it to instead counter attack. Garchomp isn't really a character who runs away. Using Dig to dodge and attack and pressure the opponent might be a valod strategy later on. Ofc not yet.

    I run Muscle and Focus Band with Rocky helmet for a more long lasting Garchomp. The way i see it, id prefer my items to ALWAYS be helping instead of those niche situations. Buddy Barrier is awesome but its not helping till level 10. Also, adding to your point of struggling to chase, he even worse at retreating. The float stone doesnt add enough movement speed to make Garchomp fast enough to chase or run so i scrapped it. I ENCOURAGE you to hit me with my ability, Rocky helmet Focus band coming into play. That can save gibles life. Rocky helmet also adds HP to pair very nicely with the band. You could always chase by running double dashes but doing so would lose those combos both movesets like to do with their pair. As far as jungling is concerned i think youre absolutely right. However due to the simple fact that there are simply better Junglers, i would only Jungle if nobody else is, and if that were were the case i would have switched to a speedster. Bottom Lane is where he belongs and following that Logic the Dragon set is the favored set. But Gible can still struggle. In a solo lobby youre hoping that you have competent and supportive teammate. But if you climb that ladder with friends, especially one with Exp share, youll find Garchomp can really shine. Just let your team mate get the last hit on a wild pokemon to evolve if they need to. Also as you can expect this mon does not care for Sp attack damage and is completely countered by it. Youll be fine against one, but if majority of your opponents are running special your Garchomp WILL struggle. If Specials become overwhelmingly more popular he may need the Assault vest to perform. All in all great video.

    I've seen Dig and Equake a few times in this vid (skipped into it muted). I hope you recommend against both. They're meh. Dig is clunky and Equake is only better than the other because it gives an extra passive stack, a negligible difference.

    Because dragon rush shoves pokemon is it not a bad escape as well as dig because it’s bringing the Pokémon with you.

    I'm a little confused on the basic. Ig the evidence is right in the video but I don't have a switch to test this out myself rn. Is it only every 5th auto-attack that heals, or is it ever auto-attack AFTER the 5th? Cause at 6:16, it looks like EVERY auto heals once you're fully stacked up but the description says otherwise

  • @HighLanderPonyYT

    @HighLanderPonyYT

    2 жыл бұрын

    The in-game description is misleading. It isn't every 5th auto, it's every auto once you've 5 stacks. An important bit is that hits with abilities also add stacks but only 1 stack per ability instance hit, even if the AoE hit multiple mons.

  • @tirell2075

    @tirell2075

    2 жыл бұрын

    Garchomp's basic attack has a ton going on that the description doesn't cover well. At 5 stacks, you gain a ton of attack speed (it doesn't stack up like the description implies but switches on at 5), your basic attacks deal 10% more damage, they also deal a second instance of damage equal to 10% of the target's current health which can crit and you lifesteal off of both ticks of damage. If you hit 5 stacks with a basic attack that attack gets all the damage and lifesteal benefits, but you have the normal attack speed delay until the next swing.

    As you may know, Garchomp can combo his Dragon Rush with his Dragon Claw. The combo can seem hard to perform at first, but while I was in the training mode I figured out that as you use Dragon Rush if you just MASH the Dragon Claw button you'll do the combo every time. Awwwww yeahh😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎👌

    I get the criticism on Gible and Gabite not being as awesome as their third evolution, however I believe his early game to be oddly dominant too Try going against a mid Zeraora or Gastly/Haunter in the early game, you're going to make them pay for invading your jungle for sure

  • @tirell2075

    @tirell2075

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yeah, it's easy to underestimate Gible and pick a losing fight. Trying to challenge him as a melee Pokémon to steal his farm isn't a great idea as he's already fully stacked and he'll rip your health away thanks to current health damage. He's still weak because of slow movement speed, no fast stacking options and no gap closers so poking, ganking can be nasty, he's just more than capable of winning a slugfest even as a baby.

    hard truth right there. Gib/Gab is every bully's target.... and i don't just mean the bullies on the other team :""D Some days it just feels like your whole team is trying to take your farm, and either don't understd the point of a garchomp, or choose to ignore it I understd that an early Geng is impt, but a late Garch is MORE impt. Pubs dont seem to realize that a late semi-carry is merely a delayed gratification, but a late hard carry is an absolute liability - a responsibility that should be borne by the team AS a team.

    I main garchomp and have played 50+ games with him and have a 71% win rate. My most recent game I did 62% of the teams damage. Garchomp damage stacks over time, the more you can auto attack the more damage you will do. You gotta treat garchomp as a hit and run Pokemon you won't be one shotting anyone with his combos besides his unite move. Forget the kills for now and don't even think about going for kills in the first 2 minutes, power farm till gabite make a few ganks with the mobility of dig then farm farm until you reach garchomp, if things go your way you'll be higher level than everyone and can literally run down and Pokemon in the game.

    i'm Dig+DragonClaw! I find that in pub matches where you have to look out for yourself and focus on staying alive until you level11, Dig is what's gonna help u juke hunters and survive. DR's probly better with a coordinated team of friends, but i'm a Dig lover (no pun intended) Dig+EQ is amazing. My opinion is that if the match is forcing you into a more defensive role/position, Dig+EQ is superior; but if the match is at a stage where it's (1) rewarding you for pushing an advantage, or (2) full of uncoordinated enemies who prefer to straggle, Dig+Claw is havoc.
