    The grind is difficult, I totally feel you on that so I hope this guide will help make it easier in someway! Thanks for watching Trainers! **Super IMPORTANT**: Drednaw debuff has been removed! Feel free to take it whenever it's up! **Extra Tips I forgot to mention:** If you have Buddy Barrier, sometimes I will use my Unite move just to save my teammate in a team fight even if I am not low health. Saving that teammate can turn the fight around! - If you have low points, you can dunk during a fight to gain shield, exp & invulnerability (for a short time.) Scoring gives you heals and exp so use this to your advantage! - If the goals only have let's say, 20/80 left and a team mate has 50 and you only have 25, for example, LET the team mate with the higher points put theirs in first! This will over-cap it and you end up having more points on your end! I played 100% solo queue to masters. These are great tips. I would add that it is important to own your own mistakes and learn from them. Also, some games are too difficult to carry. Be at peace with that and move on.

    Always a good idea to take a break if you're tilting or getting mad at the game. I just took a break for 2 weeks then came back and blasted through the latter half of ultra to get master today. I learnt this from when i used to play overwatch ranked years ago, but stop playing as soon as you're on a losing streak or getting annoyed by teammates etc. You'll thank yourself for it in the long run

    Own your mistakes is super important. My brother liked the game but basically stopped playing because everytime he loses, it's always because "My team is so stupid," even when I watch him jump into 1v2 fights instead of just going to grind and other things like that. He plays CounterStrike and is used to having friends to team with, but I'm basically the only person he knows personally who plays, so he just stopped

    @@finalcountdown3210 Little kids and average adults do that all the time, no one tries to see the blatant obvious mistakes they make, they rather blame teammates as opposed to see what they did wrong in a game. When I started playing pokemon unite as my first moba I was that one guy not battling dreadnaw, then I realized how important he was and how my sneak scores weren't a good idea lol

    The “don’t take Zapdos if winning” has been the literal reason why I’m stuck in Vet 4-5. We will be in the lead and basically got the game in the pocket and the damn team just blindly rush zapdos and get annihilated and the enemy team comes in and taps the zap.

    Assuming you've probably ranked up by now, but I'm in a similar situation where I'm back and forth between Vet 5 and Ult 1. Using the green shield Retreat signal and circling around below Zapdos has worked for me to get Teammates to stop attacking Zapdos

    Recently the grind's been really against me. I went on a good run towards vet 3 but then went on huge losing streaks and now I'm back in exp4, which was 3 until i got out of the loop. You've given me quite some inspiration to go on with the grind by sharing your lose streaks and where you dropped to during them. I've been taking breaks on occasion to chill out after screaming at my screen and spam pinging in an attempt to get the new players to do what's more important than they're doing.

  • @only1sn1not1taken

    @only1sn1not1taken

    Gotta be careful about spam pinging. Humans will be humans and will sometimes ignore you just because they are annoyed by what you're doing. Sometimes you've just got to adapt and make do with what you've got. You know you should be trying to get dreadnaw but if you're the only person trying to contest it....just get some farm and dunk some points while the enemy team is busy. It's not ideal but it's making do with the situation you're in.

    Nice tips. I would have added (just for the ones who watch your videos and go share some wisdom) to know when to score or who you should let score. If the enemy goal zone has 5 points remaining don't score if you got 8 points and your ally next to you got 40 points to score. It can make a big difference in the end, especially in close games. And losing because of something that is 100% avoidable is infuriating ^^ cheers! Keep it up

    As a player who reached Masters in solo queue, I can tell these are amazing tips. Also, these can be general tips on how to play any match flawlessly, so thanks for your hard work as usual. I'd like to add one more tip, which is 100% situational: take advantage of the small Zapdos fights/poke trades as soon as it spawns to score especially if the enemy team still has one tier 1 zone up. As a solo queue player I did it quite often in the higher ranks and sometimes it made the difference between victory and defeat. However, if the Zapdos skirmish turns into an actual team fight, you can be the one letting your whole team down for just doing this. All in all the tip would be map awareness: keep track of your teammates' position and level - sometimes they may even be able to win a 4v5.

    I love how calm and soothing you are when it comes to this game. Although i sadly have to admit im a hot-head when it comes to ranked, i definitely try my best to enjoy the game. Sometimes (more often then not) my teammates make it extremely hard to do so. A few tips i have learned that you didn’t mention: 1.) DONT TAKE YOUR JUNGLER’S MONS IN MID IN THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME! 2.) DO NOT STEAL YOUR JUNGLER’S BUFF’S!!!!!!! (Early game to mid game)(unless they arent in mid and they are clearly clueless bots) 3.) IF SOMEONE PICKED JUNGLER/CALLED CENTRAL AREA FIRST, DON’T COMPETE WITH THEM JUST SWITCH MONS!! 4.) IF A JUNGLER COMES TO ASSIST YOU IN EITHER LANE, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO!! NOT!! LEAVE THE FIGHT!!!!!! Just because we’re 2 ish levels ahead doesnt mean we can 1v3 almost full health enimies…. And finally, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEEEEEEAAAASSSEEEE participate in team fights when you can obviously see one is going on and youre the only one in top lane by yourself. This concludes my ted talk. have fun everyone and best of luck!! congrats on masters rank teeds and thank you for all the tips and tricks! You are the ray of hope we need in this dark time of unbalanced pokemon ranked multiplayer.

    Thank you for sharing your guide. I've been stuck in Veteran for a while now and as you mentioned, in this ELO, it definitely feels like whoever you're paired with, is like a huge coin toss. There's some games where my team is fairly competent and adapt to each other's playstyles but there's also a lot of games where I have teammates who don't focus on the minimap at all. That simple mistake has costed many losses in my ranked matches. What I've been doing lately, is trying to cover for what my teammates aren't exactly good at and trying to fill before the match begins if needed. Nonetheless, it's still stressful and taking breaks right now seems to help the most for me lol. Hopefully, I'll get to Masters soon! I was lucky enough to play a full masters team one time cause I duo'd with a friend that was also in Masters, and it felt great seeing players who fundamentally understand the game, and know when to group. After that experience, I want to strive so much more!

  • @dapukisgoingon
    @dapukisgoingon2 жыл бұрын

    Taking a break is such an underrated tip. I guarantee you players, we will make bad decisions unconsciously when we're on a losing streak, whether or not you want to admit that you're frustrated. In a fast-paced 10-min matches, 1 bad decision is worth so much (to the enemy team), and may turn a close match to become a little bit further out of hand. Just accept the loss, you may not know this but some teams are better than your carry-ing ability xD. Additional personal tip, I tend to play better and win more if I play some music and mute the game BGM haha. I leave the sound effects on of course as indicators, but listening to my own stuff seems to help put me in a more comfortable state, and hence (i guess) make better decisions. Great vid! Subbing!

    A few things I'd add: -While it's easier to feel more impactful on characters that do a lot of damage, it's better to always have a defender and support than it is to lack either. Even if your defender and support picks aren't meta, it's much better than not having them. Crustle and Slowbro are given out for free. I think everyone should learn one or the other, and try both of them and all their moves out in standard extensively to see what they're comfortable with when filling that role. I had to fill as Crustle for 9 games in a row where we had no defenders, when I initially planned to reach master with Lucario/Greninja, instead reaching it as Crustle. All items I had on Crustle were below level 20. People think defenders and supports don't carry, but they carry extremely hard by enabling the rest of the team to succeed, setting up more opportunities for them, and by helping win more team fights by initiating them well. Defenders can make huge plays like getting a big heavy slam, surf, or X-scissor. Supports sustain an entire team and help make big pushes and decisions that win games. Giving multiple players healing, shields, movement speed, cc immunity, and/or attack speed goes a long way over the course of a game. -Accountability goes a long way. Everyone makes at least a few major mistakes in their games, most players make dozens of at least small mistakes per game, and owning up to mistakes and what you can control instead of letting 'bad' teammates live rent free in your head will help a lot with both enjoyment of the game and improvement. You can't really control what the players on your team do, but you can set up opportunities for them by playing your role the best you can. I see a lot of people blame everything on their teammates while taking no accountability, including a lot of twitch streamers, and I feel like this is the biggest factor holding people back. Something that helps me in every game's ranked mode is stopping for the day, or at least a few hours if I lose twice in a row, so that it avoids becoming a loss streak.

    Hi Teeds, You are absolutly right with the anger and frustration the game can give to the players. Mobas can really bring out emotions that are very unhealthy including myself. To make pauses and calm down is a really helpful thing. I think most of the bad feelings are pointed towards the other players, more than to ourselfes. I cannot change the performance of the other players. So it helps me personally to imagine that the other 9 players are computers especialy since the possible comunication is so small. So only my performance counts for me. Give the best i can and everything else is computers fault 😅😅 Its really nice of you to also include such sort of tips for your subscribers, to keep them all healthy. Greetings

    These are some really great tips that I really need to focus on putting time to fully get! Thank you so much! Although, I usually struggle with positioning a lot since this has been my first “MOBA” (I think that’s the term) ever and as a solo queue Snorlax/Eldegoss Main, I feel like I’m not doing as much as I COULD be Do you have any tips as to what I can do for that? Again thank you so much for the awesome video!

    Sometimes i wish there was a way to make it mandatory to watch your videos in order to play unite. Too many people that still don’t know how to play that can make games extremely frustrating. Thank you for doing what you do i will continue you to promote you to the people i know that play.

    Playing ranked is so stressful but fun. I constantly have a win-lose-win-lose thing going on. I get mad at my teammates for not doing the obvious, but hopefully I can remember to just keep farming instead. Thank you for the video!

    Usually for the beginning I wasted my coins on a Dragonite, and used that for a long while. My main moves were hyper beam and dragon dance. Outrage had a stun relay, and I mostly protected my team and I was sometimes crowded with enemies, so if I was delayed I would have a better chance to faint. The items for my Dragonite we're an eject button, focus band, scope lenses, and a muscle band. (I sometimes swapped the scope lenses with a buddy barrier) I love Unite and it always makes my day to enter new events and get new Pokemon to move up to higher ranks :)

    Congrats on getting to Masters. I actually just got to Masters recently, and I won a lot of games where I scored literally 0 points. However, I had some of the most impactful plays in those games like stealing Zapdos/Dreadnaw, CC chaining an enemy, or just dealing tons of damage from the back line. Every game, I would try to pick out one or two things that I personally could have done better regardless of what my team was doing. It helped me improve very quickly and not blame other people as much.

    Totally agree with you on everything there. I'm Master rank too, I got it when Cinderace was the strongest Pokemon and there were so many games where I was too busy being on top of objectives, zoning and killing the enemy for my team to score. I would end up with like 10-15 kills and 0 points, but my whole team would give me "good jobs".

    12. Defending - totally agree. I’ve seen it multiple times. My team scored and decided to stay near enemy base or is just farming camps and in the meantime opposing team Pokémon are delivering 50 points to our bases… Sometimes “retreat” works, but usually I am on my own trying to defend 2-3 places at the same time, which is impossible.

    The aussie ping feels is a time for sure, although it feels rad when the frame rate drops mid fight and when it catches back up you're standing victorious. The stress part of that isn't rad though.

    really love this guide 😍 but yeah still depends on your teammates. most of the time they are so annoying, they thought the priority is to kill the opponent, just kill then that's it to the point they forgot to even score at least 1. lol

    I'm a support main, both in League of Legends and in Pokemon Unite. So far I have solo/duo qued up to Vet and am still sub 100 games total (wish I could see what all were ranked). In Beginner and Great matches I was happy that I was duo queing with a Zeraora jungle since he was able to compensate for all of the "antics", to say it nicely, that were going on. Once getting into expert, being a Support main got a lot easier. People were mostly performing their roles to an acceptable standard. Usually something I could adapt to in the first few mins and adjust my play to support my laner and team better. I'm mostly an Eldagloss and Blissy main and it's been crucial choosing the right pokemon to support with. You can easily tell games where you know you would have loss going with a different choice. Now I'm in Vet and things are still seeming pretty easy and I know I'll be able to make it into ultra super easy too. Moving forward however I know there are a few things I need to work on. Coming over from League of Legends, I have a good awareness of spacing, cooldowns, who to engage, what fights are worth picking, etc etc on the combat side. What I do struggle with are the more Pokemon Unite specific mechanics. Scoring when you can and finding the time to score are very important in the game. Too many times do I allow myself to get too many points before trying to score. The respawn for most of the match is so quick that by the time you get people down in team fights, the first from the fights are already re-spawning and either making it back to lane or using a leap pad to stop you. I'm use to winning and then farming but in this game you win and score asap. The lower you keep your points, the more you can take advantage of small gaps of time to get points in.

    same with almost all mobas... - biggest tip is to focus on maintaining farm early (and maintaining throughout game), then aggressively 3 - 4 man diving early then dispersing to stealing their jungle buffs when they are up (and you can 1v2 or at least escape/contest) - practice and make sure the broken/op champions are chosen in your team comp. - focus on taking the two jungle buffs if your mid is not properly timing (overly staying and skirmishing instead of taking camps). Carry your games. - buddy barrier and saving ults for fights around objectives.(Don't ult with 2:05 left in the game, just to stay alive in a 1v1. just die, respawn for zapdos with ult) GL.

    I already know most and I agree. But the advice to stop when you feel frustrated, hits hard. I kinda tried pushing, even how much I knew it wasn't my fault. But my ability to cooperate was going down, cause I was losing trust on players to play well as each lost I got.

    Love your guides @superteeds ! Not sure if you shared it in your other guides, but another tip is to kill the opposing jungler after they get buffs. Because this will pass on the buff to the Pokémon who finished the kill.

    As someone who solo queued his way to masters I fully agree with the tips in the video. The only thing I would add is that it's incredibly important to always be farming exp in wild pokemon. Especially if you are losing. Both levels and unite moves are super important in this game and to turn a game round you need both of these things. You never want to be just waiting, if you are doing nothing you should be farming something.

    As a main, Gengar is a really fun mon to play as. The only problem is you have to be very accurate at aiming your moves, or you'll lose the chance to deal combos and possibly even get yourself killed in the process. Wether it be the shadow ball + dream eater moveset or the sludge bomb + hex moveset. Happy haunting everyone!

    something I would add is don't take your junglers adds and buffs, the longer they need to level the longer it will take till they can help out top or bottom and their ganks may not be as effective till later. All the things you mentioned are good tips quite helpful :)

    This needs Proliferated so much! :D I'm really looking forward to that incoming Controls Guide, & hope it'll also be able to be of use to my future attempt to Xbox Controller Series X - Shock Blue the Mobile Version when Mobile Version finally arrives. It's gonna be a whole new world for me trying to Controller a MOBA for the first time ever, & there's no way in hell I can ever Phone Controls a MOBA. My last MOBA was HotS & I Keyboard & Mouse that one. IMHO 98% of games, Mouse Aiming is >>>> Joystick Aiming for accuracy. Edit: Also, now that I think about it, I wonder if my X Series's Share Button can work in Unite? Unite would be especially a cool kinda game to be able to one button nab Screenies for... :D

    I would like to see a video of every Pokemon with best moveset you feel + what held items + battle item. And I agree the matchmaking is horrible. I try to play about 10 games and night just feels like I'm constantly teaming up with four other people who have no clue what they're doing. Like a ninetails who just Auto attacks and nothing else.
