Garbage Trucks from 1960-2018! Twin Falls ID

Ойын-сауық

Ladies and Gentleman... it is 2018. Many people including myself would have thought 4 years ago, that by now everywhere would have CNG ZRs and Automizers. But nope!! Before I present each truck to you all, I’d like to emphasize that each and everyone one of these trucks documented was documented 4/23/18, walking distance apart from one another.
The first classic truck showcased for all of you today is an amazing sounding beast! One of the nicest sounds I’ve ever heard. A beautiful Maxon Front Loader with a roaring Detroit Engine keeping it alive. Now there is a very good reason this was not documented thoroughly. The driver was an absolute jerk. Did not want us filming whatsoever. So that really blew. But for sure listen to it roar!
Next truck on the list was a Peterbilt 320 ZR From PSI. Nothing too special about this truck so I’m going to leave it at that. I will say that there was supposedly a 520 ZR As well, but was never found by Simon and I.
PSI apparently has 2 of these M/A’s and one Peterbilt M/A as well. This was the only one we found with our very limited time. Pretty decent truck haha. If you listen you can hear the truck’s air brake release that classic Autocar sound as it takes off. I do wish it was faster though haha. Still happy to have found it.
Next and finally we have the last truck to be documented from Magic Valley Disposal. You’ve all seen George and Bill’s vids on all other trucks except this one. Absolutely stoked to have filmed this. Simon and I only knew about this specific route, which was a very small trailer park. (Thanks to alan for that info). We looked about a half a dozen times before almost giving up. We went to check one last time before heading to Vegas, and sure enough found the “Milk Truck”. Honestly not entirely sure what the body is haha. Simon and I suspected an old box truck or milk truck just converted into a classic garbage truck. Then that theory was confirmed by Alan. This truck is almost 60 Years old! As you can tell, it’s on it’s last legs. But then again it’s Magic Valley and their trucks have been for many, many, many years lol. We thought for sure after the accident many of you heard about (if you haven’t look up magic valley disposal accident. Very tragic story.), that magic valley would have sold. But nope! Still holding on strong. We went by the yard and also saw an ex Waste Control Maxon Front Loader parked, as well as an original BFI Recycle Now Dempster Recycler. Check out the pics on my Instagram @northwestgarbagetrucks
So to recap all this, basically Twin Falls ID is one, if not the last town in America to have trucks from every generation from 1960, to present day, all in a one mile radius. Very cool indeed!
Thanks to all the drivers for letting us film!!
And as always, please comment, like, share, subscribe, and thanks for watching!!

My town's local disposal company still run a handfull of ribbed body Heil 5000. One on an IH S-Series, one on a Ford L9000 and a few on Sterling chassis. All thouroughly worn out, of course.

That first one was probably a White/GMC or Autocar front loader garbage truck it reminds me of S.W.T.R. Solid Waste Transportation and Recycling they have 1 mack truck and Two CCC front loader garbage trucks two of them were powered by either a 6V71N or 6V92TA Detroit Diesel engine with the HT series Allison Transmission they were both white until one of them was Black and the other Red the last time I've seen that company is in 2006 with the Screaming Jimmies

Both Magic Valley MSL's are Superior Equipment Super Pack's made in Portland, Oregon. The smooth side one that you filmed is a later model compared to the ribbed. They were very prevalent in the Boise are in the 60's/70's and if I remember correctly, both these trucks were owned by Boise Sanitation who had an entire fleet of them.
