I put these same lights in after watching the video and it was the best choice hands down. These lights put off a ton of light for the price. I have a 30x50 pole barn with 16' ceilings and I installed 10 of these. This equates to two on each rafter (rafters are 8' on center). I can attest that it looks like day time when I turn the lights on. If you go with any other lights you're simply wasting your money.

In reference to Kevin Coop’s comment about the 50 K on these lights. I just watched another video of a guy that does car detailing in his garage and said for the first couple of days his eyes were hurting after installing them. Guess Kevin knows what he’s talking about. I was thinking about purchasing these but my eyes are more valuable to me and some cheap flights.

Great channel! Did you end up insulating the entire shop walls? I'm in the process of researching a 30 x 50 shop that I would spend 8-10 hours in daily for my business. I'm also in the south. Heat and humidity are crazy in the summer. Will end up doing an office so that I can heat/ac that area will a wall mount.

So I was told you can only have 4-6 fixtures hooked to one outlet or else you’ll get a drop. Cause that’s what’s been happening with me. Also after 6 + months one side of the strip goes out on some. I have them on from 8am-12pm , so not so good for business that open late long hours. The plastic housing gets hot so do those plastic connectors . So idk

John, I cringed when I saw your title. I designed lighting since about 1985. Major changes in the last few years with LED's coming out. If you are not going to be in your shop but for very short periods of time, not so bad. Or if you are going to be in there for long periods of time, maybe you can get some blue blocker glasses. K stands for degrees Kelvin. 27K has mostly red and brown. 35K is about middle of the road for colors in the lighting spectrum. 50K has mostly blue light. If you do some searching, you will find that blue light is the most intense light waves. It causes eye damage. Some "say" that with these blue lights America may go blind. Might be an extreme thought, but there is enough evidence that I would never use it in my customers buildings. 50K is absolutely not true light color. Take a red car outside in sun, then inside with those lights. The color will be dramatic change. Please investigate and decide for yourself. Very well lit! Good luck with your electrical installation! Make sure to follow NEC! Be safe! The life you save may be your own. Respectfully, Kevin
