At Currents art & tech festival, the gesture sound museum GAP+ welcomed a large crowd to engage in the dynamic creation of a new soundscape.
Inspired by gaps - the aural experiences within the narrow urban spaces of the island, this sound museum and spatial instrument collected a series of sounds and post-processed piano samples to create a new identity for "happening Kulangsu," distinct from its past as the "Island of Piano," a legacy of colonization.
