A couple years back, I had the opportunity of attending an intimate 3 day workshop he tutored. Over these few days, Tim was an open book of trading knowledge and it was clear he knows how to extract a serious profit from the market. With that in mind, I knew I had to have him on the show to share some of those insights with you.
In today’s episode Tim consistently deliverers great pointers, especially for those who are technically inclined. He also goes into detail about the influence Gann’s methods have on his own approach to trading. In particular Gann’s ‘50% rule’ which continues to hold weight in today’s market - study and backtest this one, see for yourself.

I like how tim points out that the biggest problem for new traders is not knowing what type of market they're in.A setup that works in a trending market is not going to work in a market thats ranging.I wish more traders would talk about this

@@ryuxfx52 yup! Trading as we speak. After posting that I went on to have great success for all of 2020 but I'm back to having a very difficult time again in the current market conditions... 2022 has been by FAR the most challenging market I've ever seen.
Absolutely invaluable. Impossible to put a price on the huge amount of practical advice, insights and wisdom crammed into this hour long interview. Just AWESOME!

Agreed with Tim when he said that market tends to move in the opposite direction of news release. Buy when news are bad, sell when news are good.

I use moving averages quiet a bit but I also pay attention to news headlines to understand if there will be movement in the market. In side ways market It can extremely hard for traders to making using directional swing trades

@35:45 - I'm confused why a smaller price range and matching volume (but higher price range), means more sellers have stepped in? Couldn't it just as easily be more buyers were willing to pay higher prices?

@@raymondphilip6232 he sounds like the problem of 2019 of every marketer and anyone who thought they knew anything selling high ticket courses, maybe that was the bad mark perdiction hahahhahhahh Now with that said, I will read his books as all perspectives are interesting but good to know the bottom line of "what it was" at the end of his life from his son. Interesting. Trust no one.

+TheIntrospects - much of Tim's trading is based upon methods of Gann, so he's referring to a particular chart pattern (setup).

I use MarketXLS. It works great.
Can someone please explain to what he meant at between 34-37 minutes, hes talking about the range dropping 10 points at 500,000 shares, then the next day moving up 5 points, with the same amount of shares being traded. But then hes says that there where more buyers on the day the range fell 10 points??? if there ere more buyers the stock would have gone up, no??? did he mean more sellers???

b.cage he is alluding to the fact if the previous day was 500 k and range was $10 volume was high indicated seller's control move and next day volume 500 k but range Half of amount $5 range is lower therefore seller might be over and buyers re entering.
in this interview Tim Walker talks about how he struggled when he first started trading ,and then he talks about how he got out of the market to study a bit more , but the most important part to new traders, is what he studied and he doesn't talk about the nost important part , What a let down .!!! Come on now Tighten up!!!

+Rick Quesada Umm, actually he did mention what he studied. He took topics we all know we should study, like something as simple as volume, and then he went on to read a book or several books on that and kept re-reading them for several times. Then he took the next subject, idk, maybe some technical indicator or ECN working principles or something. There is enough obvious study material to keep you occupied for a couple of years at least. Listen before commenting.

Very pleasant interview and guest. Good listen for beginners. But I gave it the hour to hear an in depth discussion of Gann. There's one mention of looking for a 50% retracement, and with 10 or so minutes to go, nothing more! Fine chat. Fake title. Disappointing! Doubt he'll make the square of nine clear in the last 10 minutes!
Tim walker? Never heard of this guy. Not a single mention of him trading and earning huge. If he is such an expert on Gann then why is he selling books? Waste of time.
