Not sure what you mean, he was overweight had a bad knee wasn’t that great at wrestling, admitted to not being able to stay in character, want a great promo, and admitted to not understanding ring psychology. Sure the gimmick is badass but the wrestler himself, not so much.

Gangrel still has the best entrance music of all time. Totally underrated the man is in great shape.

Gangrel's one of the coolest, most chill dudes in the business. Underrated worker, too. I remember the RAW leading up to Summerslam in 98, Gangrel was taking on X-Pac. He brought the intensity and his work was crisp as hell. Real fun sprint they worked. Even though it ended in DQ, it majorly sold Gangrel as an unhinged different breed of cat. Bit of a random reflection, but yeah, keep fangin' and banging, everyone!

I don't think I've ever actually listened to an interview with Gangrel before. He's actually a rather interesting and well spoken dude. Thanks Chris

The brood’s theme song is one of my favorite theme songs of the Attitude Era, and I love their entrance. Gangrel looks in great shape, and he’s got a great sense of humor.

The Brood was such a underrated stable, loved it and Gangrel is a good character in and out of the ring

Funny they told Gangrel not to smile because the old RAW Opening had him smiling front and center.

Gangrel is looking great and in shape again.

BRO! I never heard the association with The Brood theme and Possum Kingdom until Gangrel mentioned it. Went back to listen and holy crap! He has a really good point. They took the rhythm and melody and just shifted timbres and tempos to make it slower and all gothic, among other changes.

Chris WTF. I was randonly listening to Gangrel's theme earlier on my morning jog, and now you upload this. Very eery I must say (Y)

( mind you all fans and cameras were gone at this point ) It was awesome to see him in the flesh ( no pun intended) even better to see how he conducted himself when the lights were down . Respect

Chris, I've been a fan for a while. I loved Ryback and Vampiro interviews. You do a fantastic job! I'm an old-school wrestling fan from WAY BACK. I was a baby by the time The Brood was around but looking back on the entrances and how christian and edges careers went off. It leaves me to wonder about Gangrel. I have seen several interviews that Gangrel has done in the last few years, and he seems to be one of the most genuinely nice people in the business. He seems to be a really good guy. I've become a fan of his just from his interviews.

I only watched Gangrel wrestle a few times when Grandpa would rent old PPVs from Blockbuster and Gangrel was one of the most memorable wrestlers, awesome entrance, and just an amazing original character.

Gangrel is amazing. This is a very underrated episode. But by far my favorite out of all of them

This is the first time I got to see Gangrel in interviews. He looks great, and this was a really fun interview. He's a natural storyteller with a lot of experience to share. I wish he got more pushes back in the Attitude era,. Admittedly, there was so much competition then that it's hard to stand out if you're not Stone Cold or The Rock, but he was definitely a solid performer who was a lot more nimble than his size would imply.

Great interview. It really sucks he didn't get over, but the Attitude Era was bursting at the seams with talent. Nonetheless, he became one of my favorite wrestlers from his entrance of coming up out of the fire, the music, blood baths, the "viscous liquid" in the goblet and the Impaler finisher. Seems like a cool dude.

Piece of trivia ~ Gangrel and Jason Neidhart were the last Stampede Wrestling International Tag Team Champions, when they won them on September 29, 1989. They held the belts til the promotion closed two months later.

“Amazon Prime Bitch!” Gangrel is one solid dude! He does some amazing work here in Oregon at the WCWC! I died a happy man, when I got to meet him. He was my all time favorite from the attitude era, and he’s given back to the wrestling community in so many ways! #FanginNBangin
