That was a nce touch using Sephiroth's ACTUAL theme. I know "One Winged Angel" is more iconic and popular, but "Those Chosen By The Planet" is his actual theme per Square Enix themselves.

YES!! Thank you for noticing!! I went out of my way to not use "One Winged Angel" in this video. Not only is that one a bit too epic for me to comment over, but I feel that "Those Chosen by the Planet" is much more subtle while still being scary in a way that's not so in-your-face.

Excellent review! Could you imagine if VTS did a Sepheroth that was actually scaled to their ovesized Cloud? He'd be enormous! Haha! I really like what Gametoys have done here. This figure looks stunning. The wing and how they approached it was quite nice. I dig the use of the real feather. It's also cool they thought to provide a flight pole as well as a standard cradle to hold the figure.

Someone needs to make a Barret figure already 😠 Honestly, I'm all aboard any FF7 figure hype train regardless of brand...as long as each brand are in scale with their own figures. Oh most definitely. Sephiroth is a good-looking man indeed. And if GameToys sticks around for Remake Part 2, I'd wager their next Sephiroth will be even better 😉

I just bought this and Game Toys Cloud and Hardy Daytona. I guess my only worry is that Sephiroth's belts require SOME assembly still, but I will be keeping these both "on ice" (sealed) once they arrive anyway. So excited that I got my hands on these two as a huge fan of FFVII since 1997

Congrats on getting yours!! Speaking also as an avid fan since the PS1 original, these releases are not something I would miss for the world. It's also perfectly fine to keep them sealed 😉 I have this Schrödinger's complex where an unopened figure is both perfect and defective at the same time so I always have to break'em open. The kicker is...they're usually fine, but as a result, I can never keep anything in brand new condition 😅

Noice, you got him too. I can't get enough of this figure, though I finally returned it back to the box today. For now.

Wow there's some nice engineering and details on this. If you're wondering why they made the belts detachable some people do like to strip their figures to see how the body and clothes work.. or at least I do lol. I wonder if Barret is popular enough for his own figure..

Hahah yes, fair point. Curiosity should be sated. Not too long ago, I saw an unlicensed 1/12 Barret that looked pretty good. Hopefully GameToys Barret isn't too far behind (honestly I would love to have the AVALANCHE gang too). Oh I happened to see Dying Light "Anniversary Edition" on sale a few days ago and slurped up a copy. Thanks for the tip!

Barret would be amazing. Problem with him is it would require a lot of tooling. A huge, stocky body with gigantic arms. It’s not something they could source from third party knockoff bodies unfortunately. PAK Barret is actually fantastic, but obviously that doesn’t help anyone looking for a 1/6 version.

@@prehistoricgentlemanbird9131 Totally agree. The R&D cost alone for manufacturing a specialized body for Barret is hard to justify. But if anyone can do it, GameToys might be the best bet. The bodies they used for each release seems to be specially tailored. The base bodies for Ichigo and Hollow Ichigo are tall, but they are original. And so is Sephiroth. And it looks like Cloud/Zack will be too. And if the rumors are true, so will Tifa.

Finally got mine in hand today. I love it, very well detailed but I'll just give some things I noticed when setting him up: The attached piece in the back to hook the wing on, is really annoying to fit in properly. Get ready to get annoyed with it and your hands will become black from the ink on the wings so careful not to rub it off on anything. I looked at this video for reference on how to attach and ended up having to attach it without the wing first, then the wing after. Still not very stable but it works, maybe just my figure. The name plate on the stand is attached with a adhesive backing. The hands are really annoying to change like said in the review here, the tip Elbear's Toy Box gave about using a hairdryer really helped in changing the hand and getting the katana inside. I will say though that the glove part will scuff with the silver cuffling... I guess its just a given if youre going to change the hands but they will scuff. When I opened mine the little feathers attached to the belt, one of the feathers came off and I cant figure a way to put it back on, so either happened during shipment or its a possibility if you move the figure. The katana looks amazing, if youre going to slot it into the hand in his famous pose you should try to push the katana so the finger tip is touching the hilt. Before I did that the hand itself kept falling off. This is an incredible figure! Really love it.

Congrats on getting yours!! The experience of this figure was a bit less monolithic than I originally anticipated. I’ve heard that some people got a Sephiroth without the opening on the back of his coat. Some are missing that stub connecting the wing. I’ve only had one other Sephiroth figure in-hand besides the one I own. That one made me realize that the coat’s wired lining on mine was poking out a bit. And now I’m adding the wing staining your hands on my list. Thank goodness you noticed the stains in time. Hopefully it didn’t get the figure dirty. In any case, I’m glad your experience is overall positive~

Chances are, there might be replacements floating around since this was just released. If not, try to shoot for a partial refund and look for loose parts on eBay. It's a bummer but now is the best time to sort out any missing parts. I'd love to review Terry but I'm a little swamped with new releases for anything retro at the moment 😅 But I'm pretty stoked for the upcoming classic costume Kyo and Iori from KoF14. Terry, Mai and K' will be there to greet them 😉 And lastly, definitely do give it a go at your own reviews! I subbed you back, and hope to see it some day!!

@@ElbearToys Yes, I contacted Onesixthoutfitters as soon as I opened the box and noticed the missing pieces. They are currently in contact with Gametoys to get me a replacement but, I am so envious of everyone who has a complete set. Even without the missing pieces, this is my favorite 1/6 figure to date and its presence is unmatched in my humble collection. Yeah, I hear you in regards to going back and reviewing older stuff but, if you do get around to it, I would love to hear your take. Thanks for the sub back, I have not earned it but, I hope in the future I can!

Though, I think I will do something older just to get my used to the idea and plus, I have ZERO knowledge in photography, lighting, and doing reviews but, one of my resolutions for the year is to build/develop new skills and try something I am uncomfortable with. ^___^ Btw, would you consider doing a figure talk with other collectors? I’m sure you already have the essentials; bright room, good camera phone. If it’s not bright enough, get some extra lights and you’re good to go. Just gotta pick a subject and rock it out. No worries~ The only reason I'm aware of this trick is because that's really the only way to get things done for very old 1/6 figures. Funnily enough, GameToys actually added this on the instructions for their Cloud figure too. And frankly, this was necessary for both. Thanks for watching!

Fortunately mine is still OK. Keeping them in a cool and dry place is really all I can do for these leather costumes. This got me pretty good results for some older Dante figures by Asmus Toys that are 5 years old. Hopefully this Sephiroth will last 🤞

great review. Cant change his hands even though after using hairdryer. Used too much force and I did hurt my hands. They dont stand, they just drop. Any more recommendations about the hands?

I do have one more trick, but it's NOT something I'd recommend, and that's a heat gun. It's like a hairdryer on drugs. The heat stream is focused, and it warms up the part A LOT faster. But do be extra careful because the heat gun can easily melt the part or any glue around it (if any). I thought I was careful but I've had melted hand parts by accident before... The heat gun I use is a DeWALT 20V Max Cordless. It's overkill but it's more effective than a hairdryer when used with extreme caution. But if you're really sure that you want to proceed, start by putting Sephiroth in a T-pose and apply the heat around the wrist so the heat stream doesn't hit anywhere else on the figure. Once you get it a little warm, pause for like 10 seconds to let the heat can transfer inside. Do this a few times so the wrist is consistently warm (again not so much that the hand starts to melt), then hold the gauntlet with one hand and with the other, slowly pull with a twisting motion on the hand part as if you're unscrewing something. Hopefully that helps! I'd much recommend trying with the hairdryer using the above method, though it might take longer to evenly heat up the hand part. And as always, don't force it if you reasonably tried and the hand just isn't coming off. I feel that GameToys purposely set a really tight tolerance on the wrist, so factory goofs could mean a stuck peg. Plus if anything is broken, it'll be a pain to get Sephiroth replaced since he's sold out everywhere at this point.

I got mine today. Was wondering if you faced any issues regarding the shoulder pads being very loose? Can’t seemed to make it stay on the shoulders… the magnets doesn’t seemed to work

Congrats on getting yours! I don't unfortunately (or fortunately I guess?) have any issues on the shoulder pads. In fact, I'd say the one on the right is a bit too tight for my copy. Though I'd recommend rising the arms out sideways before pushing the shoulder pads all the way up. Once you get them to where they should be, bring the arms back down to see if you can lock them in place. The straps that go under the arms should anchor them pretty well. It's not a lot, but I hope it helps~

But I am getting another "Classic Suit" from the PS4 VGM line, which I'll try to review if there isn't any other stuff coming out in that time frame because, to be honest, Hot Toys videos don't perform well on this channel. I have 3 here and they are amongst the lowest view count. I'm still the new kid on the block and there are already a TON of other Hot Toys reviewers just due to the sheer popularity of the brand/figures 😑 But I do appreciate your feedback for wanting Hot Toys content. Prolly shoulda molded the hair out of a softer plastic and broken it up into sections like the PAK remake sephiroth figure and I’m pretty sure the wing is too long. Other than that this is definitely the best Sephiroth figure out there!

GameToys experimented with different sculpted hairstyles on Tifa that's interchangeable. Imagine if they could perfect it and apply to the next Sephiroth...if there ever is one. Not only could Sephiroth turn his head, he could have a scattering mid-fall pose. Oh the possibilities 🤔

But sadly I'll be watching that from the sidelines as I won't be getting anything 1/12 at the moment. I have no self control so once I get a 1/12 collection going, I won't stop. And 1/12 is a DEEP rabbit hole to fall in 😆

The wings on my Sephiroth is not stable and this thing at 5:36 can't hold up the weight of the wing, it's a bit loose. Am I assembling it in the wrong way?

Hmm, the base piece was pretty stable for me. If you're able to push it all the way in (to the point where the piece almost touches the coat) but it still falls out, I'd wager that the factory goofed. There's always the chance that the tolerance might fluctuate a bit because I did have to struggle a little bit to wedge it in. If all else fail, can try wrapping a piece of paper around the stub and insert again to see if it fills the slot with just enough friction. Good luck! And thanks for watching! EDIT: Forgot to mention that if it went in properly, the base piece wouldn't turn like it's a clock hand. So that might be something to look for in determining if it's a factory error.

Sadly this one is the same as all the GameToys figures released so far, and thus my response isn't gonna be too different from your question from the Cloud video. As these were mostly sold out before they were even released, the best way to track one down now would be scouring private marketplaces like eBay or AliExpress for a reputable dealer who carries these. It will be tough, but it's possible to still find a decent deal. Hope that helps~

Do you have any idea to fix the wing? It's always fall down because of the weight

Hmm, I didn't have any issues with mine but from what I've seen, the nub that goes into Sephiroth's back is usually the culprit. Normally, the nub itself should be a pretty snug fit so it won't spin around like a clock hand once it's installed properly. On the likely chance that there's a quality goof on the factory, I would try wrapping a tiny piece of paper around the nub to see if it can add a little friction so it won't slip around inside the socket. I would stay away from using putty just because it might be hard to clean. Hope it helps!

I've just receive my Sephiroth which is just a killer (I've issue with one hand which won't unhook so i'm waiting for a change part if it's possible or like I see in the video the haidryer work with joint attached on the hand, yes impossible to remove for now.....) but otherwise it's a fantastic masterpiece with incredible finishes and details. My only complains are the shoulders pad with the magnet system not very effective and the lips color more dark than the promotional pictures a little more plump. I also can't resist and preordered Zack who looks FANTASTIC with his two soldiers evolution style.

Congrats on getting yours! Sephiroth is getting more difficult to come by these days. But yeah, definitely don't force the hand part if even the hairdryer trick doesn't work. I'm willing to bet GameToys set the tolerance pretty tight on the wrist joint, so anything slightly off could mean a stuck peg. There's one more trick that I use but DO NOT recommend, and that's a heat gun. It's basically a hairdryer on steroids. The heat stream is more focused and it gets the part hot A LOT faster...to the point where you can melt the part or glue in surrounding areas (if any). I'm very careful with it, and even then I've melted parts by mistake before. But it's much more effective when it does work. So again, use at your own discretion. @@ElbearToys Yeah thanks for your indications, I'm a little tense to break the joint part. The left hand part works really easy in comparaison like butter but the right hand don't want to move, it's like it blocked in it. Cross finger for my shop can change the part. 😉

I get mine from OneSixthKit. But there's a catch (which unfortunately applies to many unlicensed figures in this hobby): they are sold on a pre-order basis. I put in a deposit for Sephiroth, for example, in 2021. And then I was invoiced for the remaining balance when he was released in 2022. And because of the insane demand for GameToys figures, there usually aren't a lot floating around in stock (at least not at reasonable prices). Which is why the upcoming GameToys releases are all sold out even at a pre-order stage. But worry not. With the release of FF7R Rebirth, I have a feeling GameToys might give these beloved characters another go. In the meantime, I'd highly recommend joining the OneSixthKit Facebook page so you don't miss out on any new pre-orders, which arguably is the best way to snag one of these figures. Hope that helps!

After 1 year of display, is there any damage to its clothes? Because I'm quite afraid of leather materials, they are not durable at all, especially since I have hot weather 😅 ( I'm thinking of buying it but I'm a bit worried its clothes are easily damaged )

I am happy to report that my Sephiroth had survived its first 1.5 years! The leather still carries that beautiful sheen with no signs of cracks. Fingers crossed that it stays that way for many years to come 🤞 That said though, I am very lucky to live in a region with a cool and dry climate. From what I can gather, these leather costume has a tough time surviving hot and humid weather. Hope that helps~

@@ElbearToys I bought it but for double the price but its detail is perfect and i am very satisfied with it. I feel sad that I missed Cloud and Zack, I hope they come out with a reissue arm parts that adding a plastic piece to prevent it from slipping over time. Luckily I still managed to pre oder Cloud AC and I'm really looking forward to it coming out in the near future 😂😂

All gametoys headscuples are amazing!I hop they can make some figures of devil may cry ,because Asmustoys figures alway have many shortcomings and flaws，I'm disappointed in them.😭

Thanks for watching!! Up until yesterday (I think), TNS Figures actually still had it in stock. I even bookmarked it so I can post it here in case anyone asked. But it 404'd as of now...and all the retailers I trust to be out of stock. So I guess now the best way would be to scour eBay for a deal 😔 Be sure to check the shipping cost too because there's a whole legion of scalpers who would charge over MSRP and then charge almost half that again for shipping.

@@jo.scorpio2010 No worries!! And you are very wise to not trust eBay sellers. I'd add AliExpress on that list too just because my experiences with sellers there had mostly been awful 😔 I got Sephiroth from OneSixthKit, from which I've bought many figures over the years. But they only do pre-orders at a limited time frame (usually when a figure is first officially announced). Once the figure is released, there're usually no leftovers since their allotment is based on pre-orders. Other than that, I'd also prefer buying from Giantoy, KGHobby, and TNS Figures (this was the one that 404'd, likely because it's now out of stock). They all sell via pre-orders on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Eventually, and sadly, yes. Leather tend to have a limited shelf life but they can be prolonged with care. I do my best to store them in a cool and dry place with little fluctuation to temperature and humidity. I'm not leather expert unfortunately, but I'm sure there are other coatings or methods to better preserve it.

Aside from keeping it in a cool and dry place, I sadly don't have anything else to offer. My personal best record is a Medicom Kamen Rider that's going 10 years strong, barely has any signs of deterioration. But if this counts as a tip, I'd say take the figure to a local leather workshop and see if anyone there has any professional opinions. Ask about care products that they might have for sale so they have an incentive to help you out 😉

There's certainly that chance. I do my best to store it in a cool and dry place. So far, this method worked for my personal best record, which is a Medicom Kamen Rider that's over a decade old. The materials GameToys chose for this figure certainly feels better than most of the stuff I've seen...hopefully it will last just as long 🤞

Is the suit leather or pleather though?

According to Gametoys' product description, the jacket's made of "high quality leather material", and it certainly feels like it. Plus, I wanna say that these look better than the leather used on the Asmus Toys DMC3 Dante 2.0. Dante's pants, in particular, makes me reluctant to pose the figure because it looks rather coarse compared to Sephiroth's.

I like the face just a little more than the Play Arts Kai figure. That's about it. I think I prefer not having to deal with real fabric and a sharp sword. But it does come with the wing unlike the new Play Arts Kai version.

Really hate that I never received mine, delivery service lost my package and game toys had the audacity to refuse in giving me a refund, only wanted to give me store credit. Now he’s running for $500 :/
