Niceeee this really does work. As others have said, no need to use a knife to break the plastic bits, you can just wiggle it and with enough persistence it slides right out 🔥

U don't have to cut off the knobs in the inside of the remote u just pull it apart and pull down gently and wiggle it side to side the knobs will put out than u can make your tablet fit and after use u can pop the remote back it place like new thanks a lot for this content it help me out a lot and I'm jus spreading the love back

Thanks. I did this with a brand new x2 pro. I need something for my s6 lite (2022) and s21 ultra. I took it apart and cut the plastic and it work at first wasnt recognizing the controller it works good.

Hi, has it worked well for you?

You just need to unscrew the screws that are behind the rubber pad where the tablet sits. You dont need to break anything, and you can put the thing together after you finish gaming, and still locks unless you bend it to take it out again.

Would using a iPhone plug extender to not have to customize the controller itself and plug into a bigger iPad work?

I wonder how's the connection between the left and right part. Since from teardowns it seems that the springs themself are also wires that connect the logic board. This mod exposes them and this makes me question if because of that you can get interference.

With the Lightning version is it now possible to do the same with an iPad 9 ?

It uses those Springs to transmit the eletric signal from one half to the usbc, so be careful not to break a spring people.

But can it fit ultra tabs over 14 inches?

I tried on my ipad pro but it doesn't work. The spring is loose now, but the controller still works well on my android phone. I'm trying to figure out if plugging in a usb c extender to the usb c to another device would work. Anyone tried this method on any other device that is not android?

i used a female to female usb c then plugged into ipad pro. it turns on but the ipad does not recognize it at all

What I would like to know, Dad, is how firm the tablet sits in the cotroller or is it kind of wonky and shaky in there. Also, after six month is it still working? Because I think this treatment considerably shortens the life span of the controller. A picture what it looks like on the back when the tablet is inside the controller would be nice.

Sorry to hear that. I think there is a video on KZread about setting it up with PS Remote Play. I don’t have a PlayStation so never tried.

I tried this method with the Bluetooth version and my springs became a little loose after taking the controller off the tablet, is this normal and can it be fixed or does it leave permanent damage to the controller? 🤔 I have a Samsung tab s7+

Hi. The springs on mine have not gotten loose. I suppose if you leave it on tablet for a long time that could happen.

tab s7+ is 3 cm bigger than s7, you probably damage the spring due to the size

Im going to try this for my Lenovo Legion y700 tablet, (8inch). I'm going to dissect my razer kishi also to see if i can use that. I looked into the ipega 9083, I heard its garbage.

@@Roadcloud Yes, I did. Works perfectly! Works great. There's some springs are exposed, but if you're not rough housing and playing like a jerk it works perfectly. Nothing that would deter usage. I use it on emulators and game pass

The S8 Ultra is a massive tablet. I don’t think it’ll fit.

What would be driving the display? You can't just plug a monitor into a controller and expect anything to happen.

@@7MBoosted Don't worry, I am tech versed. Its more of a crazy idea. You know how a Nintendo Switch has JoyCons that could be attached to its sides? Well, I would connect those via bluetooth to my PC but somehow attach them to a big screen on a purely physical level. I already use a portable monitor as a tablet sometimes.

If you were to try this with the lightning version, surely that should work on iPadOS? I was actually considering attempting a similar modification, since I recently found one of these gamepads going very cheap.

Those heavy gloves make me think you about to show us something illegal. Would have been good if you showed the back of the contraption after you expanded it past it's max, and slapped the tablet in there, since i'm guessing there are those springs holding on to life at the back. Just to see if the visuals aren't too crazy to do this myself.
