The biggest plot hole is that, she never picks up multiple wood sticks when there’s a whole bunch right in front of her. So when one is burnt out, that’s it... But in general, I still love this game.

Just in case anyone was wondering: The French did use gunpowder in small barrels as crude bombs to open gates or take down walls. They were called “petards” and were incredibly dangerous to use because they were unpredictable due to variations in the primer cord. The only problem is they were used around the 16th century, so they’re much too early for the game’s timeline. (The phrase “hoisted by one’s petard” is related to it, in fact.)

You forgot to sin the fact that the rats attacked as tornados when Amicia goes back to her home even though we later find out that they need to be consciously controlled to do such a coordinated attack. And Hugo couldn't do that yet.

9:35 Think it actually was explained during Hugo sneaking past a scientist doing autopsy on a body with a bunch of other viewers, They mentioned that some bodies were left intact to be used as leverage for their nests. The part where he said all the nests would eventually reach each other and form one giant nest. Earlier you could see intact bodies being grown into that mess, skin and organs melting. And the bodies becomes all mush, leaving only a skeleton behind. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Honestly should add like 50 sins for the final chapter and boss alone. That was the most frustrating chapter I have ever played in a game with a terrible one hit wonder boss at the end. And Amicia one hit kills every guard without a helmet with her slingshot and she needs 4 shots to kill this old fuck who can barely walk. Bullshit. Fight was also long as hell, Amicia and Hugo should have easily destroyed him. Nicholas fight was much better. But the final boss deserves 50 sins alone. Anyway seriously though the game was great overall, much better than anyone would think.

I know you didn’t say ‘Ratatouille’ as ‘rat-a-tool-e’.

Thx for pointing out how dumb it was to create a random drama out of Amicia refusing to say the truth about her mother to Hugo. I found that incredibly stupid when I played the game and was surprised to see nobody mentioning it until that point. Also, I fully agree with bosses being the biggest weakness of this game. Overall that was a pretty cool game but bosses were really dumb and boring.

The soundtrack was astounding though

The minute I heard about this game, all I could think of was that Achievement at the end: "We're the rats, we're the rats, we're. The. Rats!" So happy I could hear it again.

Somewhere between Sins 69 and 70 needs to be with that damn cart push where the game literally makes you forget about all other skills and forces you to throw rocks at guards heads whilst being on a strictly timed linear path. Not even a single rat anywhere for Le Brat Jr to control

It's been one week since release and neither Dartigan or seemingly anyone in the comments notices that this video is titled "GAMES SINS" rather than "GAME SINS"

I'm surprised you didn't say anything about Hugo randomly beating on the ground with a mallet at the beginning, especially when you said later that Hugo probably would understand his mother being captured by bad people. Hugo is probably also smart enough to figure out that beating on the ground with a mallet after you just escaped from a bunch of people who tried to kill you is really, really stupid. What was he even doing?

Women wore dresses, even the poor ones. Hoses/pants were a big no-no. They only came into fashion in the early 20th century.

I really enjoyed the game when I played it at release, but it obviously has some glaring flaws. mostly that it feels like it's completely on rails. You rarely have any options to use a different route because for the most part there is none besides the occasional "I just run through whatever I have to do and barely make it"

The graphics in this game are amazing..

Beatrice tapped the man's head with a rock. Either he has some rare condition that makes him die with a slight tap to the head or this was motion captured with a woman actually hitting a guy with a huge rock in the back of the head...

About the book: I think the grand inquisitor wanted the book to keep someone from getting in the way of his plans. He didn't necessarily need the book to tame the rats and complete his evil fucking plans or whatever. If he got the book, nice, he has a free path, if he doesn´t, someone could stop him but not without a fight tho

I think the reason why Amicia couldn’t go through the window by herself at 2:26 was more to do with how high the window was rather than it’s actual size

Like he said, this two games had a similar plot, almost identical and like the game "Plague Innoncence" was devellopped by french guys, we can call it "La vie est étrange" (the french version of "the life is strange 2")

Though I get this was just for fun, I honestly really like the super over the top way that it portrays death. Even though we know there couldn’t have been millions of rats and dead soldiers and pigs, it’s SO much cooler with piles of dead bodies.

I'd expect rat-nadoes from the Skaven not a game about the plague.

I am a historical expert (like, really), and I hated so many things of this game. Her wearing pants and what basically is a t shirt was one of the things that did not make sense. Then, the Cardinal or whatever he was supposed to be, was wearing a complete fantasy outfit. I get that this game is 90 % fantasy, but when you set your game in a real country at a real time, then at least you could go for SOME historical accuracy. However, there was almost none.

Sin the Witcher 3. I love the game but it would be fun to watch

For example, in the beginning after the dog dies and you go in your house, instead of going on the left to your mother, if you go right there is an old lady that starts speaking and another woman (servant) replies. Also, a single bite from the rats is supposed to give the plague, but when you get swarmed, and get into light just on time to save yourself, I'm pretty sure those rats would have bitten you at least a couple times.

I don't think it's the rats that give you the plague. The fleas do. When a flea is infected, so much bacteria is built up in their stomach that it can't get any blood meals. So when they try to get a blood meals they end up putting thounds of bacteria into an animals bloodstream. It's more likely that the fleas would've jumped onto our protagonist and bit her.

It's strange how dark this game is because the gameplay feels designed for 10 year olds

I laughed so hard when I thought he said that during the hullucinating levels developers were able to use asses from previous levels. 🤣🤣🤣

@@stripe801 I mean, Amicia comes from a royal family. Pretty sure that would mean she doesn't get to see much of the outside world being pretty much sheltered by her parents. She obviously had training with her sling, but only for hunting purposes. Don't think she ever had to use it for self-defense, especially with needing to kill to survive. And when she uses her sling for the first time to kill someone, she doesn't even have time to think about what she just did because she immediately had to run away from the rest of the villagers who were already on their way to kill her and Hugo.

@@sebastianrosa7935 nah. Not sick. You could apply this "that's sick" logic to anything humans hold close to their heart then. However I agree that it was cheap because there was no character development behind it and killing animals always gets people emotional with no effort.

One simply does not kill a dog at the beginning and awaits bigger emotional reaction from its players later on!

What I the most about this game are those stupids time skips. I barely know these characters or if Amicia gets along with them or not but the game assumes you do. Still the atmosphere, the settings and the soundtrack are amazing.

I feel like rat-tornadoes are less believable than pants but I'm also not a historian and the only thing we learned in school was that lots of people died during the plague.

To be perfectly blunt, as dark as they were willing to go with this game, I'm surprised they didn't also include copious amounts of rape as well. Clearly we're dealing with corrupted inquisition soldiers, who have free run of all of France, breaking into people's houses, and who have a beautiful noble woman held captive and who have also captured Amicia at least once. After everything they've done, it just seems like a weird line to draw. "Sure, we'll feed innocent people to hordes of rats, hang them, burn them, impale them, brainwash a child to be a soldier in our evil army, kill children, work for a weird catholic palpatine dude, but rape?! Too far, man! Too far!"

I have a feeling it was somewhat implied. Hear what the torturer says when Hugo has to get the key to Beatrice's cell. Something along the lines of "she has the skin of a real lady", "I'm going to enjoy this". There's also I think Lord Nicholas asking if she's still sad because of her husband.
