@@redseagaming7832 yeah changing the difficulty would ruin the experience and it would feel more like Elder Scrolls Online. Not bashing it, but hardly a challenge. ESO holds your hand too much. Me being a level 45 astrologer currently taking down bosses and moving along the main quest, the challenge is what has made it worth while.

As a souls virgin I am proud to say I beat the game LOC ending with a lot of magic and gimmicky tactics. I am now starting a second playthrough w strength/faith. Currently I am dual wielding two large anchors lol 😆 I love this game!

@@HardcoreGamer101508 You learn from loss which is the entire point to FromSoftware styled games. Tree Sentinel is surprisingly a great way to teach new players about timing and improving their reflexes since he's hard, but not unfairly hard. Yes the technical "point" to him is to serve as a scary roadblock to tell players to go the other way until they unlocked Torrent, but that's the freedom of the game's open world that's what makes the game great. You're free to ignore the annoying gitgud crowd who tell you to fight a boss at a low level and you're also free to fight the same boss at a low level because you simply find the boss fun. No offense but I don't see how having fun in a video game is insanity.

When that music kicks in, you know you are effed.

I remember getting my butt handed to me by this boss then decided to bypass him. I went on to level up, get torrent, and acquire better weapons. Eventually I came back to challenge the mad horseman to a jousting match. Playing the fight with my horse it became a way more epic boss fight. Maybe it was the music or the weight of his swings but this fight was pretty interesting compared to the other beginning optional bosses.

Never found tree sentinel to be too bad, even at low level. his attacks are extremely telegraphed, most dodge and parry timings can be predicted by the movement of his horse. The overhead jumping smash that all variations have is one of the easiest moves to parry in the game imo

Whenever I think a bout tree sentinel being right at the beginning of the game it reminds me of Peter Griffen saying what the fuck i just sat down

When I first saw him after doing the tutorial, I ran straight at him screaming "BRING IT BITCH" then got knocked into the air by his big ass swing, failed a roll and got laid out.... fun times

A sizeable health pool, unpredictable bursts of speed, a weapon that has some reach and can pierce, a lot of aggression, a fair number of moves in the move set (and seems to always throw one or two unexpected ones in) - I hate the tree sentinels above everything else I've fought so far, including the main bosses. I'm up to the mountaintops of the giants stage, and I've still not really seen anything worse than these! They prey on the things I'm not good at in the game.

You get no real reward for fighting it early except a nice weapon but I prefer coming back later I defeated it at level 36 I also chose a class that has no armor or Shield only a club
