@@Gacha-Ritual-Master summon other players. Before you go in. In those mausoleum boss rooms you can't use tears. I would assume it's because you are fighting a tear. But all in all it is best to solo because of the health bump bosses get and these mausoleum bosses are absurd with player help.

Just for reference, gaol is pronounced as "jail". The Dung Eater says it in the round table hold. "Go and unshackle my body trapped in the sewer gaol below the capital. Slightly unrelated, everyone was confused on Executioner Smough's name, even though we had/have Hawkeye Gough as a reference. They're literally only two letters different.

That fight made me fall in love with the Placidusax spear

Didn't know he was considered hard. He has a few hard hitting attacks but you can dodge them or block them. I do love his sword and armor that he drops.

I used this boss to practice parry and roll timings, after not touching the game in over a year he was perfect to practice with

I know that people have been complaining about it, but I really like that for the DLC Fromsoft basically said “we saw all your cheesy strategies for making the game easy, and we’re going to make bosses that deliberately counter those. Get gud.”

Had to break out the parry shield for this guy. Thankfully most of the sword strikes are easy to punish.

Yeah I did a mix of parry and jump attacks to deal with him. Took me a bit though.

When i heard this was going to be difficult for the veterans i honestly farted i knew the DLC would be hell after that 💀💀

Its crazy how not many people know thay knight type enemies are easily staggered with heavy attacks or greatswords

Funny enough i never died to the cross bow the range of the sword and his art did me in pleanty

I'm glad I decided to replay the whole game as THE WALL before the DLC. I walked into this room, 0 skibidi fragments, let my Fingerprint eat the crossbow burst and then I just poke-staggered that guy out of existence.

I accidentally missed him at start. Later on i killed him very bad. Was using starscourge greatswords

I've never seen a player do the greatshield + thrust weapon combo. Worked for a lot of my early level playing. Attack and block simultaneously, lucky if you can flinch them.

I remember this being my first boss thinking it gave the repeating crossbow, now i got awesome armor

Yes I died to this to and wondered what the Fuck does he have in that crossbow. strongest crossbow ever my gosh lol.

Very easy almost no hit with a big shield and counter attack. His hits bounce off when he's holding his sword one handed. Just avoid him when he two-handed it.

I watched other KZreadr like Afrosenju before I actually play the dlc myself so I know what will come beforehand. As soon as I start the dlc I gather the scadutree fragment to at least lv4 before I actually fight this guy so I don't suffer the same fate as them 😅

It was the sword waves that got me... but honestly he's got somewhat of an easy pattern read so i got him in a few tries...

Boo on DrDisRespect Takers Flame Spam...

If you beat this guy on your first attempt well done, I lasted the first attempt average time on these video clips. But I did persevere after my third attempt, just keep him at mid-range to prevent him going to his ridiculous crossbow, and take advantage of his windows following his pretty easy to telegraph sword swings. Use lightning buffs/magic/incantations for additional damage if you have it.

Took me half an hour. First thing I fought in the DLC. Godslayer greatsword finally slapped him around.

I've seen people with 99 vigor still get one shotted in the DLC

60 vigor is fine for me on ng+2 (only character I had ready). The scadu blessings are what make the difference.

I killed this guy by spamming wave of gold from my Sacred Relic Sword. Each wave knocks him over, by the time he stands up the next wave is on it's way.

I should probably upgrade the crossbow. There are now enough talismans that make bow builds pretty good

Pro tip. His pose is at 98

Fromsoft knew how jank some npc boss fights can be, so they made a crap ton of npc bosses/invaders for dlc and enhanced their AI so they're even more obnoxious lol.

how do you have that teleport when you dodge? and where do you get it?

i finally downed him last night myself. a weapon with bloodhound step, Pest Thread Spears and play defensively, don't get greedy. i don't consider myself all that "gud" but it's possible to beat him.

Do people forget rune arcs and great runes are a thing lol was this before people figured out they had to upgrade differently in the DLC?

Some people just focus too much on their builds instead of learning the patters of the boss

Dear Gamer, I used a lot of Dex in this dlc. There are some good dex, but mosly Str is Great op. Spells are better in this dlc

Prefect counter to this guy, Storm ashes of war. Any one of them are perfect counters to this guy

I'm surprised how much ppl struggles on this fight why the Nagakiba with Unsheathe AoW pretty much carries me through all these npc fights

Kinda funny how theres so many using bleed notna single one of them using somethign defensive against him. I have a bleed build that uses the palisade sheild wrecked him my 2nd try without any fragments lol.

I just ended up parrying this guy into the ground

I just Black Flame Tornadoed this boss and every other from these tombs, they couldnt even get up. 🤪

I got him on the second try. He's not that hard compare to some of the dlc bosses one tip savage lion claw is the go to for this boss.

Honestly once you learn his move set, he’s not that hard. Think I ended up using heavier weapons maxed out tho and lot of jump attacks

You can cheese him with giant hunt ashes of war.

the reason people struggle with this fight so much is beause most likely , they come to this fight when they dont have any scardue fragmen. so they will die in 1 or 2 hit no matter what gear they wear.

Just get off your ass and collect the fragments that can get you to like +10 without having to kill a thing

I killed him first try with only 1 scadutree fragment. Swapping Radagon's soreseal for Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman made a huge difference, Blasphemous Blade +10 (still great despite the recent nerf) with Poise break tear (Stonebarb Cracked) and flame damage boost tear (Flame shrouding Cracked) along with Golden Vow and Flame Grant Me Strength. Spam Takers Flames all up in his face (close combat always except when healing) and down he went in 2-3 minutes. I did get hit a few times but Dragon shield talisman made it manageable. It is cheesy but get's the job done. Also, the other talismans were Erdtree's Favour +2, Carian Filigreed and Shard of Alexander.
