My friends and I used to play this all the time getting drunk on game night. There are three ways to play this and we did them all at some point. All play without vmu and see each others hands, everyone has a vmu so no one sees another person's cards or, what they have done in this playthrough, something we all did one night to make the game almost impossible.. We all put dreamcast memory cards in and the game thought they were vmu so we didn't know what our own cards were. The only time we did in that game was when Robotnik showed everyone's cards for a few turns and we literally cheered like a bunch of drunk fools. Good memory

OMG I JUST LOOKED UP WHAT THE CARBUNCLE IS AND WHY IT ATE ITSELF. Apparently it's a forcejewel that contains a fairy with an alleged great appetite. On random turns and without player input, the carbuncle will eat one of the forcejewels in said player's inventory, but if there are no other forcejewels, it will just eat itself! ....... why would they put that in the game???? 😂

Not that I'm defending this garbage, but the jewel in question is meant to be a bad draw. A cursed item, and it only goes away if it eats itself.

Ok, hear me out on this. I want Sega to try again with this game, but REALLY think about how things SHOULD be done. I've always thought it could be awesome for Mario Party games to incorporate 3rd party characters, kind of like smash bros, and have Sonic as a playable character. Having a sonic the hedgehog variant of Mario Party that actually functions, could be awesome.

My favorite aspect of this game as a Mario Party competitor is that they designed it in a way that makes it functionally impossible to play with more than one player

This was such a fever dream, especially since it was during lockdown. I think my brain just blocked out most of it, so thank you for uploading this my friend :)

On the actual Dreamcast if you had a VMU the card you hovered over would show up on the VMUs screen. Since they're emulating they didn't have the proprietary hardware so it's all a guessing game.

gamegrumps has said copious ampunts of times even THEY THEMSELVES watch these kinds of things uplaoding them, they LOVE that their community does this. they already are well aware of it and they LIKE it. bc they have so many other ways of making revenue. they arent struggling bc of reuploads TRUST that. if you were a regular viewer of both these comps AND gamegrumps and really cared THAT MUCH youd know their opinion on it, which is they dont care, they even like watching the reuploads and compilations themselves, dan mentions it all the time and arin also mentions watching compilations.
