To be fair, Mia wasn’t the best wife to Ethan either. She goes missing after 3 years in the last game to create Eveline which infected Ethan and the Baker Family and eventually killed them all and after all of what happened in 7 Mia didn’t tell that Ethan that he was infected as well so she’s more of the selfish one, keeping secrets the whole time.

@@LadyAbsolution If i were in Ethan's shoes, i would be afraid to sleep next to Mia after she tried to kill me multiple times when she was possessed/mind controlled and possibly develop PTSD and ask for divorce especially when she is the person who constantly keeps things in secret. Granted, she had no control over her actions when she was attacking Ethan and even cutting off his hand, but Mia isn't helping the case with her mistrustful attitude

Add a sin: The game doesn't show Ethan's face when he is with Chris at the end. This scene is so awkward because of that.

As far as I know they kept him purposefully without a face because they wanted him to be your average dude. No matter what you imagine as a normal guy, that's his face, hence why you never see it. Granted that doesn't work because Ethan is far beyond being an average dude thrust into a bizarre situation in the game. A normal person would hear their daughter has been split into jars and assume they were too late, and most wouldn't fight demonic mutated monsters to get those jars in the belief it would save their child. He's honestly less average or normal than Chris or Leon.

Chris was always a smoker, they removed all mention of it because it was considered controversial. That’s why he has a lighter in RE1. He also has a full ash tray in front of him at the bar in RE6.

If the sight of the empty village with dead animals and effigies hanging on wires wasn't already setting off alarms in his head when he literally saw the exact same stuff on the Baker's residence when he first got there, I have no idea how he couldn't put 2 and 2 together and think that he was facing the living dead again. We see him do this later after the survivors are killed off, at the top of the house he smacks his hand on the wall and cries out "Why is this happening *again* .". To me, it's a little too late for that sentiment buddy, you should've been guard up as soon as you saw goat heads hanging from trees.

It also stands to reason they've already taken aim before the lights were switched off. But yeah, they had headgear to deal with the target moving in the darkness.

I like how he sinned it for "Since when does Chris smoke?" when actually he smoked in the original resident evil game. In the ending scene if u dont save jill or rebecca he lights up a smoke. And in Village they replicated the exact same way the actor did for that scene.

Fun fact: the line “Boulder punching asshole” was actually added by the localizers. The actual Japanese script’s line is “gorilla based asshole”. The localizers seem to be obsessed with adding references and memes from older games. Revelations 2 did this with Barry as well. All of his one liners were added by the localizers. In the Japanese script for Revelations 2 Barry is a lot more serious

About attaching hands: there is a scene where Jack chopped off Ethan’s leg right after dinner party, given that he did enough damage to you. He would then give you a healing potion for you to attach the leg to taunt you. Most of the players wouldn’t know about this because it was pretty easy to doge jack’s attack at that part of the game.

For those who wonder about Moreau's name, there are more explanations besides "The island of Doctor Moreau" reference: - In French, "Eau" means "water", and "Mor" sounds like "Mort" (we don't pronounce the t), which means "dead". So Moreau's name is like "Dead water". - "Moreau" also sounds similar to "Morue", which is a French term that qualifies a fish species (I don't know the English name for it, but it is eatable), and it is also a way to call a very ugly person (usually used for a woman). So it's a pun on the fact that Moreau is like a fish, and is very ugly. He's like a Morue. - Moreau is also a very common name here in France, so it's no surprise they used this name for the Lord that references France. I used to have a teacher named Moreau. Now I can't think of her without having Moreau in mind. Also, the song that plays when you chase Angie / Donna is the French child song "Promenons-nous dans les bois". It is a song we sing when playing hide and seek, or tag. The "loup" (wolf) is the one who must find the other children. So in this case, the wolf is Ethan, as he must find Angie in this creepy hide and seek game.

Ethan did know about the knife to weaken Dimitrescu. It's in a note you can find. I guess if you played him ignoring those then he wouldn't but it still makes sense bc he has some weird knife, may as well stabby stab

@@Jose-se9pu it's not a very strong case, because canonicity doesn't really matter. one could make the case that even without the scene being censored, even if it was included in the west, none of RE PSOne is canon since REmake exists (and Chris starts with a Lighter in that game.... jee, I wonder why he is carrying that around). But you can also make the case that none of REmake is canon because the true events of the mansion aren't actually depicted in REmake either, since the "canon ending" is as impossible in REMake as it is in RE1. What's really at the heart here is the nonsense of making Chris smoking a "sin" when A) Chris was initially introduced as a smoker; and B) Chris could've picked up smoking at any point since the last time we saw him. People start smoking sometimes, especially when they're under stress. Chris is a paramilitary counter-terrorist who fights manmade horrors that would drive most people into a panic. It's perfectly normal for someone who does that for a living to have a smoke to relax - especially in the context of the scene in RE8 where he's having the cigarette as he's stressing out over the fact that he just got Ethan killed and that he fucked up by not telling him about the whole operation from the start. There's nothing to sin here. I couldn't think of a more normal thing for him to be doing. It's dumb to count it as a sin against the game even if you're being goofy lol

The whole "Ethan got infected by the mold"-thing revealed in RE8 was actually theorized by a good chunk of the RE community, due to the sheer insanity that you had a general attachment to your limbs that resembled a slinky more than it did a body. Though the point of infection was generally considered to be right after the car crash in Jacks bossfight, not the moment before the cabin. HOWEVER: it is true that it has been poorly revealed here, given that any cellular testing would've easily revealed that, and you'd assume that an organization like the BSAA would have top of the line hardware for finding BOW material and be running a whole battery of tests on someone who was exposed to it for that long.

Not to mention Evelyn would have known, given that it's her mold, and he's now seeing the same hallucinations of her that everyone else who's been infected. Also, wouldn't the cure used on mia/Zoey kill them? They were infected either as long, or longer as anyone else, which should have meant their contamination was just as thorough, which would kill them, when the cure is administered. Also, according to 7, it takes awhile for the mold to fully affect someone, yet Ethan was supposedly fully replaced by the mold before anyone knew it. I could go on for awhile.

That "Chris trying to hook Leon up with his sister " as *69th* sin could not be more perfect 👌 😂

It's not the wildest thing in RE games to think that if the Mold can act as a storage for memories, she could have some of them "copied" onto her, especially if they were connected to someone close to her. You can still have the same data on a pendrive when the main hard drive is destroyed.

IN RE7 as well the "Ethan is actually a moldling" was setup on day one of that game. Ethan gets his hand reattached with staples by Zoe while unconscious, and can also get his foot amputated by Jack that must be healed using a healing fluid. The only way for this to be possible is if he's been infected by Mold, since he clearly displays the regenerative abilities. The "splash of water lol I'm better" wasn't just a silly Resident Evil healing animation, it was the actual mechanism of Ethan getting healed in every situation.

It was just a reskinned first aid spray green herb thing. The mold sotryline was a retcon how cna you justrify how Eveline could not control Ethan back in RE:7 if Ethan was a molded all along ? CAPCOM wanted to make a plot twist so they included the idea, if it was prepanned they would most certainly tell to the players. Carefully crafted storylines is not the MO of CAPCOM.

@@dorukhanozen2580 Well, Zoe also showed an amount of resistance to Eveline, and if you played the Daughters short you can see that it takes a while for her control to be total. It's pretty consistent if you ask me. Ethan was there for not very long at all, and he showed similar symptoms to the Bakers when they were infected - he had hallucinations, he was straight up encased in mold at one point. The RE games have never been known for their strict attention to continuity, but certainly this was not an area that they didn't set up.

At the sin when Duke first appeared you mentioned him being able to sell and buy in a currency only used in that tiny village, the currency in question is "Lei" which is the national currency of Romania, the country where the game takes place. Other than this I agree with the other points made about Duke.

@@Tooncesthecatwhodrives looking at the release date of the game and this video (two weeks), I'm guessing the sins took priority over the research. Granted his Somewhere, Europe sin was meant to be generic in the sense that two RE games are set in Europe, but in RE4's defense there must've been some difficulty with localization. In my research, some of the Spanish was either in a New World accent of voiced by New World Hispanophones. For RE8, the information on Romania and their currency is readily available and would have been even in the days of the encyclopedia. Dartigan has no real excuse other than to Speedrun sins any % which would be respectable if again the research was put in. At least there are other gaming sins like channels that do it better.

A fact in case you didn't know, the Dimitrescu name is also Romanian derived from the years 1600 - 1800, and its correctly pronounced as "Dimi-tres-coo" instead of how a lot of people (including Capcom) pronounces it as "Dimi-tresck"

Yeah, there's a section at at the factory that's skippable that explains that from his audio recordings. It was some young man that fell and died. If you actually read and covered all the documents you could have at least have some answers not add as a sin. The knife that hurt Lady D is explained too

Ethan was not specifically looking for it, and yet, somehow, he just finds it, and somehow manage to hurt lady D, and somehow it works. If there was a note saying "there an alien laser weapon inside 2nd floor toilets", that would be exactly the same. This is not story telling, this is lazy writing.

Also, my point is that Mia would take photos of Ethan holding the baby too, afterall, Mia wasnt in the hospitall for 6 months to not be able to take ONE photo of him and his moldy face for the photobook, especially since they clearly had time to even make a photobook; it feels forced for Ethans face to be nowhere to be seen in the pictures.

Ethan when he gets severly wounded (gets his hand/leg cut off, impaled, gets half his hand bitten off, blunt trauma, gets burned): Sounds like hes doing taxes Me when i stub my little toe: Screams in agony and whines

I think Heisenberg didn't take Ethan's guns because he knew he would survive and maybe be able to be talked into helping him kill Miranda. And Lady D didn't take the guns cause she probably thought Ethan was no match for her. She underestimated him while Heisenberg saw potential.

I actually liked how Jack became a "obligatory resident evil wall of meat" boss... with a southern accent. Big reason why it works with him is because you've already fought him in human form two times at that point.

Ethan's aware of the Dagger when searching around the Castle. He doesn't make a reference to it, but it is one of the notes you can read along your journey throughout that portion of the story.

12:58 Donna Beneviento had control over a certain flower that produced hallucinations when the pollen is ingested. Everything in this section was Ethan’s deepest fears ie the Baby Monster and seeing/hearing Mia. He didn’t have his guns because he hallucinated that he didn’t have them since they were the only things that made him feel safe. This is why this section was strictly survival horror; it was meant to be a view into Ethan’s worst nightmares. Side note: It’s twisted when you think about it that since Ethan was hallucinating pretty much everything in the house, the reality of the boss fight was Ethan chasing Donna through the house like a mad man and stabbing her with scissors.

17:19 It undercuts Chris's statement that someone else is insane when he starts the game by killing Ethen's wife and kidnapping his child with zero explanation. I see a theme in RE games where lots of unnecessary confusion could be cleared up by a simple explanation.

Heisenberg is obviously using Ethan to kill Miranda. That's why he puts him through the game Once Miranda took Rose, she turned her into 4 crystals and was given to the lords. This was Mirandas brilliant idea of using Ethan to dispose of the lords while putting rose into the altar. It's also hinted that Miranda needed the lords disposed so she can use the full power of the Megamycete. Although that's just speculation. Lycans were never used for an army. Miranda was testing to see if they were compatible with Eva. Just like with the four lords. It was never Rose who removed Mirandas powers, it was Eveline. She wanted revenge because Miranda said she was a failed experiment.

The bit about Miranda using the full power of the Megamycete isn't speculation. It's confirmed in the game itself during Miranda's boss fight. She says "You disposed of my false children and in doing so awakened the full power/potential of the glorious Megamycete." It's also more likely the Ethan himself removed Miranda's power in the story rather than Rose or Eveline. Given he is mold and the mold reacts to his desires to be healed like it supposedly does for Miranda, Eveline and the like. Though it's still plausible for it to have been Rose.

I never really thought about how Ethan was literally putting Rose to bed before sitting down to dinner with Mia and yet when he escapes the crash he's wearing a jacket with a torch...

Rose was a result of a once molded woman and a FULL mold man. for all we know it takes this specific criteria (and im asuming some other genetic factors) To create some one like rose. If we consider her fully molded like ethan she may not be viable to try a reverse process. Or mabey her eggs were unusable after being molded so long.

His coat attire actually looks similar to his getup in his RE6 ending. He also wears a black coat/black turtleneck combo there.

6:35 what’s even better about this is that a lot of screws that use a screwdriver can also be unscrewed with a knife, which Ethan actually had at that point in the game, so technically he didn’t even need the screwdriver

"A one of a kind poison dagger that Ethan wasn't even aware of or searching for." You find a note in the game that talks about this dagger being the only way to kill her. Thats why Ethan looks for it and finds it

The note only mentions the dagger not where to find it. It doesn't even say the thing is in the castle. Not to mention the note itself is easy to miss. If you're going to base a boss's weakness around a plot mcguffin at least make the plot mention the thing in something other than a skippable collectible. Like would it have killed them to make one of the npcs mention the thing . Or at least make the note unmissable and a tad more detailed. And not have the 9 foot tall milf keep the instrument of her doom in her house.

Even if he's aware of it he isn't searching for it, he's looking for both a way out of the castle and for his daughter. It's more likely (even if you have seen the note which is easily missable) that it was in his hands when he was grabbed by Lady Dimitrescu and instictually used it to stab her to get her to release her grip. Also doesn't the note say that they heard of it like a rumour and they aren't sure if it exists or if it's in the castle at all?

This is a slight issue with the overall franchise, actually. The characters for some reason rarely ever comment on the notes or files you can find in the games, and the contain pretty significant information that the games never show in the cutscenes.

"Ethan goes through more hands than a Skywalker." That got me good. That was great. My favourite thing about 8 has been the hand humour that's come out of it. This is hilarious. 😂

Lets see Ethan's track record on losing limbs In RE7: - Gets his left hand chainsawed off and gets it stapled back on by Zoe - Gets his right leg chopped off by Jack in one of the hidden cutscenes where Ethan uses First Aid juice to reattach it(He can lose his leg to Mold monsters) In RE8: - Gets little finger and ring finger and good chunk of his left hand bitten off by Lycan - Gets his right hand sliced off by Dimitrescu which he reattaches with first aid juice - And finally loses his right hand again when rest of his body is breaking apart Yup, he makes Skywalker run for his money.

It can be assumed that Ethan vaguely knew that *something happened* to his body, he just didn't want to face that reality because he knew the implication it would carry about him never returning to a normal life. So he doubled down on it after Rose was born, seeing as admitting that he was severly messed up would now also carry with it the implication that he passed on the "curse" to his daughter, which turned out to be true. I just wish they provided some in-depth information about the nature of the mold and what it can do, because it appears to be written in such a way that it can do literally anything the writers want it to do for any given scene, and then gloss over it immediately so you don't think about it.

Depending on how you play the game. I've seen so many different playthroughs of Biohazard, that some didn't lose Ethan's leg and other's did. What I want to know is wtf happened to Zoe, after the End of Zoe DLC? Is she being studied/experimented on? Is she working with New Umbrella, or is she the source of the bio weapons for BSAA? The only real sin is the first encounter with a lycan. Both it and Ethan magically teleport to the first floor and throws him through a wall. That’s my only complaint. For number 4, Ethan crouched down below the table, they were targeting Mia, they had military gear and they were trained soldiers, I can see how they didn’t hit Ethan.

But it just shows even more how ridicolous the plot is. The lycans act, move and growl like your typical classic braindead zombie or wild animal but hey, let's make them use one of the hardest weapon of medieval times that requires a lot of skills and training and make them shoot those arrows with quite a good accuracy ( but just right after firing them up, like very combat educated bowmen), like they are some sort of Robin Hood. With this logic they could have been easily equipped with modern weapons and being basically invincible. It was better to stick with "i'm not sure why the village is on fire after the attack", cause if you investigate too much you just bring up more silliness. I liked this game but plotwise is a mess.

Um, Chris blew up Heisenberg's factory, which started a fire. Plus Lindza's house burned down, which started a fire. And when Chris blew up that gate it ALSO started...a...fire. You people need to pay attention to what's happening around you in the game.

Heisenberg made that machine for Ethan so that if Ethan agreed to his plan, Ethan could attack Miranda with the metal/polymer machine that Heisenberg can’t control so that Heisenberg doesn’t accidentally attack Ethan while they fight Miranda together.

Chris attached the real bomb to the mutamycete during the brief we play as him. 24:26 No idea about the agent but there are two ways Rose could know him. First way is Mia (her mom) could have told her all about Ethan. She did love him enough to marry and have a kid with him after all. Second way is the mold stores copies of an infected person's consciousness for other infected people to access like a cloud. Rose could have learned how to tap into that and used it to learn about her dad. This method was used back in RE7 when Ethan met the real Jack towards the end.

Well, looks like someone knew the plotline of "Shadows Of Rose" DLC all along

Rose knows her father because when someone is infected with the mold, the other people who died by the mold can communicate with them. Like how Jack could talk to ethan in 7, and how eve talked to ethan after his heart was ripped out. So Ethan can probably talk to his daughter as well after death

That’s what I thought, but technically the mold should be gone 100% unless ya know it’s still not but it’s supposed to be so that theory doesn’t technically work, they destroyed the mutamycete which was the origin of the mold also. And all the biowpeaons related are dead except rose so unless the mold is still Alive because of her, she shouldn’t be able too, idk it’s odd I wanna know the real truth

The dagger is coated in poisons and is the only thing that can harm the lady. The real question is why she decided to hide it instead of giving it to Miranda to destroy it if she couldn’t do it herself.

@@diogobraga2174 Nemesis mutation was fucking trash in both games. And not everything has to be a Tyrant. And what fantasy are talking about, other than the mythology of the character themes. Every enemy in Village was the result of the mold.

I agree so much on the villain design. They are so much more interesting before they transform and after, they do all kind of look alike. You put it into words perfectly

Something you missed between sins #56 and #57: Ethan has *absolutely NO REASON* to reject Heisenberg's offer of "let's team up and kill Miranda". Ethan know that he'll have to confront her sooner or later and Heisenberg would have vital information for him, on top of being a superbly dangerous opponent. Even if he was scared that Heisenberg would want to take Rose's (by then unknown) powers for himself or that she would get harmed in the process, all he had to do was play along until he could safely betray him and escape with Rose. Openly defying a man who can kill you with scrap metal to his face is *not* wise.

I don't agree with you, Heisenberg wanted to use Rose as a weapon to kill Miranda and that's why Ethan refused.

Also for the Chris Redfield smoking a cigarette part, in the OG Re1, he smokes in the opening credits I think. And he carries his lighter around and even gives it to Claire before the raccoon incident as a birthday gift

Yes, Chris did smoke in his intro for OG RE1, but censors discouraged smoking in video games, so they overlayed a clip from the intro cut scene for Chris' intro.

Anything involving Rose following Miranda's failed attempt to resurrect her as Eveline, such as Rose weakening Miranda, is because Rose actually _has_ Eveline's memories due to the resurrection. It's also because of those memories that Rose knows what her father was like despite still being a baby when he died.

Lmfao at Ethan burning the whole house down and getting everyone killed just to get a screwdriver xD

In RE7 Jack shoveled off Ethan's foot and then reattached it with the first aid, that's how Ethan knew that it would work.

Most of his videos are like that nowadays. His videos always start with a REEEAAAALLLY long first sin that takes 2-3 minutes before you hear the ding

24:22 I do agree with you, saying "How would Rose know?" But remember, in RE7, the mould can get you to communicate with dead people (like Jack Baker), meaning Rose could recall memories when she was with her dad. I know that's too far of a stretch, but remember, Capcom have been known for making crazy stretches like this. There's even theories going around, speculating Ethan is still alive. Capcom totally brought back Kelvin Stellar (from Megaman Star Force, who Kelvin coincidentally is also a dad) so it is possible Capcom can bring back Ethan out of nowhere. Also, remember Ada Wong faked her death in RE2 (especially on Leon B Scenario).

Still wondering how Ethan managed to stay with Mia who tried to kill him and hide important things from him for 3 years or so.. Let alone having a kid with her..

There was a cutscene with Chris smoking in the helicopter back in the original RE1. I’m sure that’s where they got the idea that Chris smokes.

Chris hasn't smoked since RE1 1996 and that was cut from the US release lol. Remake cut that too. Capcom is trying desperately to turn Chris into Captain Price or Big Boss here and they fail miserably.

I understand hating inventory management cuz it was annoying from when I played re7 but I mean resident evil is known for inventory management and since seven was going back to the horror aspect and their roots it makes sense why it would be something in the game

The reason Miranda gave the flasks to the Lord's was to get Ethan to kill them. She says it before the fight. Something like "you've served your use, you disposed of my false children"

The last sin could be due to the fact Rose is connected to the mold and the mold catalogs those who have been infected. That's how Miranda was trying to get her daughter back.

And the currency in RE4, the peseta, was the official Spanish currency until about the 2000s So both currencies make sense.

I never believed that RE4R rumor, but after seeing Village, I'm like 90% sure it's coming. It just screams "we designed the game around the idea of how many assets we could reuse for our next project".

I hope they don't screw up the RE4 Remake like they did RE3 Remake. We've gotten 2 bad RE games back to back now. "Fans" can defend both RE Village and RE3 Remake all they want, but their both mediocre RE games compared to past great ones like RE1 Remake or RE4. Capcom got extremely lazy and greedy, again. What took 5 games before, they've now done in 2 lol.

They're remaking 4. It's been confirmed, the team that buttfucked the Resident Evil 3 remake is gonna fuck that one up too, that's why there was parasitic enemies in the 3 remake, to try and tie Nemesis to 4 by saying the plaga is an evolved form of what made Nemesis.

@Dark Souls, It is. The Factory is actually the one level that's almost like past RE games. And the Stronghold action level is the closest the game comes to matching one of the better past action horror RE games. Everything else is dumbed down and boringly hyper linear like a bad Western AAA movie game. And Village does not have combat mechanics to even come close to RE4, RE5, or even RE6. Between Village and RE3 Remake, I'm deeply concerned now for the future of this franchise. It's already sounding like RE4 Remake development is not going smooth at all.

Exactly, This game was most definitely just made made a RE:4 Remake without actually making a RE4 Remake. They do not want to spend all their good material for they themselves knows their oriignal story continuation ideas like 5 and 6 are mediocre and does not require remakes. This game itself used a lot of assets from Biohazard I'm amazed no one is pointing this out.

A question I had was what purpose did Miranda have for keeping Mia alive? All the experiments she performed were for reviving her daughter. Any experiments on Mia would be pointless considering Miranda obviously already knew about Rose.

Testing the differences between the Megamycete she had and the one from Louisiana which was edited and tampered with. As well as running tests on Mia to see how one would react to both versions of the mold. There is also the fact that Mia was cured of the mold in RE7 so testing a person who had it removed would be interesting to her especially if the situation with Rose didn't work like she theorized. I consider it like a back up plan, and the exploration of other possibilities.

There's a moment in RE7 where if you're too slow escaping Jack he cuts Ethan's leg and then explains right away how the healing water can fix it... so Ethan was pretty much aware of this regenerative ability. Still doesn't make sense he never questioned himself about it all that time.

@@Greg-kv4yr your gonna tell me that the fire was hot enough to instantly vaporize her the second she touch it, the house would have burned down before ethan could have escaped, and he would have been incinerated along with her.

They also don't explain why Miranda didn't just take the baby instead of spending weeks pretending to be Mia. I kind of hate all the plot holes in this game. They were just so blatant. It was like Capcom had a bunch of concepts and RE4 cloned ideas they wanted to stuff into a game, but no idea how to connect any of it. Did they just think the ideas were "so cool" no one would notice? Edit: Theres also Miranda murdering the the townspeople after getting Rose for no reason. And Heisenberg bringing Ethan to meet the "family" for no reason when he didnt know who he was. Not to mention, Lady D tasting Ethans blood and it tasting only a "little stale" when he's been made 100% of mold for 3 years.

Yeah, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Why does the Old Hag say that "ever since" Rosemary has been brought to the village things have turned dire? Rosemary was kidnapped literally a few hours before. At night. Nobody in the village would know about her. And why is the village under attack by the Lycans (and it look like it has been for while, definitely more than a few hours)? Why does Lady D say that "Rosemary is our only hope"? For what? She's supposed to be used to revive Miranda's daughter, hardly everyone else's top priority. Why try and kill Ethan at the beginning if he's so important? What's the deal with the cradle in the castle and the Duke telling you Lady D might be keeping Rosemary in her rooms when he knows she has been "split" in four flasks Akira-style? What's the deal with Lady D's daughters anyway (what the F are they? The only explanation is in a file and it sounds like some magic ritual)? Why does the dagger inflict that much damage to Lady D (a file says it is covered in poisons and was used to slay many monsters - again, sounds more like a fantasy game than anything else) and why the F is she keeping it in her castle to begin with? Why are there zombies crawling out of graves? What's the deal with the two axe-carrying giants? The list goes on and on. It's like they are just spitting out tropes from other stories, hoping that they might somehow create a cohesive narrative.

Let's be completely honest here: The story for Village was garbage and the note from oswald Spencer at the end of the game is nothing more than a desperate attempt from capcom to tie all the games together. It's a terrible, terrible betrayal of the series and it's fans. That being said, the gameplay is still fun as all hell, and is worth my 60 bucks. Just remove resident evil from the title and we're good.

1.) If Miranda just kidnapped Rose then she would have immediately brought suspicion towards herself and would have cause Chris and Ethan to immediately hunt her down. 2.) The reason why Miranda killed the villagers is because they where test subjects that she didn’t needed anymore. She was planning on testing the villagers to see if they were candidates for reviving Eva but since she had Rose, they were no longer useful to her. 3.) Ethan’s body isn’t literally 100% made out of mold. The mold revived Ethan after he was killed by Jack and was keeping alive for 3 years straight, basically turning him into a zombie.

One can argue that, considering her real identity, she can say whatever she wants, but that's still bad writing. Again, it looks like they had many ideas and they stuck them ll together without thinking too much about it. 3) Eveline's ghost (or whatever she is) says his body is just made of mold. Even if it is an hyperbole, they had her saying it.

Id say about a quarter of these sins are explained in the games text files you find around areas

Even if it wasn't explained to him while he was conscious, his use of the medicine throughout the Baker residence after that intro implied he understood just how unique it was. The Jack explanation was just there to further emphasize it.

The thing about BOW being ineffective against Chris is irrelevant, we see in RE2 & 3 how Bioweapon's can over run a city, HUNK's tactical squad were wiped out, and other than Chris, his allies die constantly. The reason they're ineffective against Chris is a good 25 years of fighting BOW's and Protagonist Power

19:42 Since the first game… it just didn't showed much on cutscene except on ps1 uncensonred version. Also, if You notice on re6 bar cutscene on Chris' campaign there are ashtray filled cigarettes indicate that chris smoking

Jake Is a child with his father virus dna, the power to mutant his body in scarp object/strong form & will be always label as wesker son where people will look sus at him due his father past acstion. Last of all Sherry a child with a different virus who grown up still have the virus and have survived a Steal though her stomach and still alive probely now a couple with Jake. We have now 3 children who got power of diffrent virus. And working for Umbrella now. It will be probely be same again

CarLos (sad), moira, Sheva, Josh stone, Rebecca hasn’t been in a canon game since 2002, HUNK (fuck!), Jake, Sherry probabLy won’t be seen again. i Love Leon don’t care much for Chris they way overuse him but it can’t just be those 2 aLL the damn time. we have so many characters to work with. Chris is with bLue umbreLLa so why can’t carLos & HUNK be?

I think the implications are that she wanted ethan to kill the lords. Which is stupid,since she could have done it herself, but maybe she decided it on a whim when he showed up and saw an opportunity?
