Roxas only gained the ability to use 2 keyblades after defeating Xion. Which happened after he left Axel. So, yes Axel is appropriately surprised that Roxas pulled out two keblades he had never seen Roxas us before

That one is up there with Recoded as one of the least main-plot important. All it does is tell us a bit more about Roxas's involvement with the Org. That's not relevant to the main story.

@@sigilbreaker2628 You get most of the context of what the organazations goals are the bonding friendship between Axel Roxas and Xion and the main reason why Riku looks like Ansem in KH2 Days serves as a way to develop Roxas and the rest to more than a superficial level aswell as the reason why Roxas left the organization and Id say that's important. Re:coded is more relevant for it's ending and it's potential connection to the book of prophecy aswell as to give context to what the letter of KH2 ending says. Again most games have a connection to the main plot

@@1stclassdork578 None of that is even remotely necessary to understanding the main plot. It develops Roxas more, and fills in details of the world we didn't know before, which is what a spinoff *should* do. But it's definitely not neccessary to understand it.

worthy for a game so beloved by fans. Hype. it's a mix of ad rev and the fact that videos longer than an hour drive away clicks for many people. Heck, this is over 30 minutes so that's probably pushing it for some people already.

Sounds like Greek mythology. Eris, Goddess of Discord, caused a feud between three goddesses which ultimately kicked off the Trojan War just because Eris hadnt been invited to a wedding. Nice to know the hack who wrote Sleeping Beauty plagiarized for his story.

How did pausing during the musical stuff NOT earn a sin? For those who don't know, if you pause during the Atlantic musical segements you do not get a resume option. Your only choices are to quit or restart. And somehow, this carries over in all the rerelease versions.

A lot of these sins had me giggling, but the one about Sora straight up murdering people had me laughing out loud literally.

I feel we need to appreciate the fact that Bill Farmer not only has he been the voice of Goofy going on 40 years but for this game as well as KH 1 and KH3 he voiced the character in over 21 languages.

As much as I love the Kingdom Hearts series, these sins are so spot on it's sad.

@@TheBladd a lot of that has because of later releases though. A good example is the keyblade choosing you thing. Now if you only play Kingdom Hearts 1 then there would be no reason to believe that Yuffie was incorrect or she was lying. However we learn from Birth by Sleep that keyblades are actually passed down from previous Keyblade wielders. Birth by Sleep, a game that was released 8 years later. Nearly a decade. A lot of people like to wag their fingers at people who are confused by this but in all honesty they have every right to me because there was no reason to suspect this information within the context of only Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. That's also why people wag their fingers at Kingdom Hearts plot, because it's a patchwork design full of false leads with a primary antagonist whose effects have been felt across 4 games but hasn't been seen or explained until Birth by Sleep.

The Sora's Mom plot line is the most interesting plot line we'll never hear about. I'm sorry I said I wouldn't complain, but Merlin's Merlin, a man with control over space and time, Merlin does what Merlin wants. "I'm beginning to understand why cloud avoids Tifa" killed me.

KH2 was so emotional, I'm not gonna lie. It should've wrapped up and ended there.

Yeah... As much I enjoyed kh3s worlds, the flying and fighting system, the story made not much sense for me and unlike kh2 when sora evolves more and more I wondered how stupid sora became in KH3. Sometimes it felt like he is mentally handycapped now.

Kh2 is one of my favorite games but this is hilarious.

You should’ve pointed out how Riku losing his memory of Sora is another one of the many plot holes in the game, since Chain of Memories firmly established that Riku was the only one who didn’t lose his memory from the events in Castle Oblivion.

actually Riku losing his memory of Sora is explained by stating that everyone connected to Sora lost their memories of him when Namine began putting his memories back together at the end of Chain of Memories. It's why Kairi and Selphie also lost their memories of him despite never even going to the castle.

Swiss cheese is tasty. There's a certain audience who thinks cringe can be tasty as well. It is hilarious to read and watch, but to actually pay and going through hundreds of hours of a nonsensical plot? That's far from being okay imo

The only thing I hate about kh2 us that you have to use a combo finisher to defeat a boss

In the newer game, Dream Drop Distance, it's revealed by one of the Norted that in fact they do. The Nobody characters have even shown to have emotion. * Sora and his party haven't been in The Underworld before. They were above ground in the coliseum in the first game.

11:15 actually while Roxas was with the Organization he only ever used one keyblade as he gained access to the second after he left the organization and had that big fight with Xion. Roxas then attempted to use his newfound dual-wield ability to free the hearts trapped inside the Kingdom Hearts that the Organization was creating only to be confronted by Riku who tried to beat Roxas so he can get his friend's memories back, all the while Axel never sees Roxas using two keyblades, so it's really quite reasonable that Axel is surprised by Roxas having two keyblades

As much as I've played this game, I never even thought about the type of conversation that could come up if Seifer had met Maleficent.

Actually you're wrong. Sure when the PLAYER loses all their hp the match is over BUT if your opponent's hp reaches zero they're only "knocked out" for like 10 seconds before recovering all of their hp and fighting again.

Actually Roxas did sort of meet the real twilight town group before, in 358 days they go past each other a few times so it makes sense that they recognize Sora a little

At 16:54 Xigbar was talking about Ventus, not Roxas. giving him the same look so saying why Sora doesn't put two and two together doesn't really work here.

honestly, at this point it was probably both of them. Braig/Xigbar comments on "that look" every time he runs into Ventus, Roxas, or Sora. He does it with Ventus in BBS, Roxas in 358/2, and Sora in both this game and DDD.

@@MrHandss He doesn't do it with Roxas in 358/2 that I remember, and I just rewatched the scenes before I started 2 - it's with Xion, and it's because Xion looks like Ven to him. Him and Roxas barely interact in any meaningful way for Roxas to glare at him. Most of Roxas' glaring is at Saix and Axel.

But yen sid JUST told him how nobodies come into existence. Unless Sora just forgot about that one time he killed himself there's no reason he couldn't put 2 and 2 together. In fact he JUST got those memories back so shouldn't they be fresh in his head?

Most of these are spot-on, but the one with the NPCs mentioning the beach; it's mentioned later that the simulation can't accurately reproduce real people, so DiZ cheated and connected the digital NPCs to the hearts of their real world counterparts. Which is why the real Twilight Town gang feels a connection to Sora despite never having met Sora nor Roxas before. Since the digital versions of the people are based on real people with real thoughts, they can and often do behave outside the parameters of their programming.

Roxas only begun using 2 keyblades after killing Xion and taking hers, so Axel didn't know. Also, Roxas did meet the twilight town kids while working for the organization.

I started playing kh1 for the second time last month. I went through the whole game this time. Collected every item for synthesis which took forever, got all the puppies, treasure chests, trinity marks, spent more time in 2 district in traverse town to work on leveling up, doing every colosseum fight and timed matches, completed all secret boss fights etc. It was perfection! The game was an adventure, there was a purpose and a simple story. You were encouraged to go back and re-explore worlds as you gained other powers such as different types of magic, abilities or trinity’s to unlock other things. You had to move boxes, pull ropes or glide long distances like in Hallow Bastion to get to items or to secret entrances. I was excited for kh2 and then... I wasn’t excited for kh2. The game pushed you in and out of worlds when it wanted. You couldn’t explore the worlds fully, everything seemed blocked off. Chests were just... available. You didn’t have to do anything special or gain any abilities to get to them. There was no interaction with objects in the world. In 100 acre woods you can pull on Winnie’s door bell or in Halloween town by ringing the bell and bothering someone until they give you an item. Not in KH2, everything is just a commentary bubble that talks about an object. It just feels really... flat to say the least. A lot of people say the combat made the game but I honestly didn’t like the combat. The game became a button smasher and was passed off as being more “strategic” but it wasn’t to me. Hitting triangle a bunch of times isn’t strategic. There was nothing magical or special about any of the worlds. And omg... the cut scenes!! Why are there so many cut scenes? Needless to say it became really hard to press on through KH2. I didn’t feel like there was an insensitive like there was in KH1, no proud moments like earning trophies in the Colosseum, getting better to go back and fight a harder bosses later or finally reaching that chest that has been mocking you for 7 worlds straight. It went from an adventure and discovery game to an overly cinematic action game with a lot of pointless mini games, stories and characters. It’s a poor sequel that tried to be bigger then it needed to be.

Cloud and Sephiroth were my favorite 2 parts of this game. And I was really good at the Gummi Ship stuff.

One of the things that annoyed me about Kingdom Hearts in general was honestly how there weren't even any npc characters walking around or sitting in the row seats of the Coliseum. Same with Shan Yu having no actual Huns in his army and the Heartless he led into battle was only like 2 regiments. An army consists of at least 10 rows of soldiers. If you go back and watch Mulan, Shan Yu had an entire massive horde. Or why the citizens of Port Royale weren't there and why Tortuga wasn't a level map to travel to. Also Disney Castle literally has no other soldiers or defenders. Donald is supposed to be the Chief Mage like Merlin of Camelot and Goofy is the Captain of the Guard aka the Chief Soldier. But there are absolutely no other classic characters to be the other mages and soldiers, hell Chip and Dale are aeronautic engineers just because they were on the Rescuers. By that same logic we should've seen Launch Pad as the Captain of the Disney Castle Royal Air Force or something 😂.

Liking Kingdom hearts is knowing and accepting all the plot holes but still loving it to death

A sin you missed is when Santa sees Jack again, asking what trouble will he bring this time. If the real story of Nightmare Before Christmas has already happened as implied, Jack wanting to be Santa and yadda-yadda, how comes Oogie-Boogie didn't recognize the 'Large one in red'? I mean, in the real story, he was going to eat him!! He even played a whole song about it!! Another thing about the real history of Jack fighting Oogie and saving Santa and Sallie... Oogie fell for the 'oh, it's just the leg of a woman and not the whole one. How dare you trick me with a low-grade trap?' all over again? Seriously, he needs to go out more

Should’ve been Terra, oh wait there’s already a character named Terra that’s part of the Birth By Sleep Trio. I don’t see how Cecil or Bartz weren’t considered, Cecil has dealt with darkness and light considering he had to climb a mountain to become a Paladin and fight his evil twin Golbez.

Words disappearing when Nobodies steal stuff is probably only inside the computer simulation, as a bug.

Thank you for this Dartigan. Kingdom Hearts II is my favorite game ever, but a majority of what you are saying makes a ton of sense. It is one thing to love a game. It is another to be able to listen when someone points out what doesn't make sense about it. Can't wait for part 2!

Anon they are stated as other worlds not universes meaning they all exist in the same universe but most of them take place in earth or some form of it

At 37:40, you have a really good point! Having the hyenas kill all of the game in the Pride Lands would result in all of the vegetation becoming overgrown, not destroyed. The landscape wouldn't transform into a desolate wasteland, it'd transform into an impassable jungle.

As far as Xemnas not using a Keyblade.. It's implied later that he can, he just doesn't. For whatever reason. So that's where the sin should be: if he can use a Keyblade, why isn't he the one going out slaying Heartless and gathering hearts? *ding*

Roxas only used one keyblade while he was with the organization. He only used the second after going rogue. Also, the. Twilight Town trio did meet Roxas. Pence helped Roxas look for Xion when she went missing, and all three of them played with him on his "vacation" day from work. Dubbing's harder than regular acting, because you have to keep things sounding natural while matching lips. Ming-Na Wen sounds terrible as Mulan in this too. Merlin was in Hollow Bastian (or rather, Radiant Garden) when it was plunged into darkness, so it's not too terribly surprising that he was returned there. The nobodies only stole the word photo because it was a simulation. It wouldn't happen in the real world, That'd just be silly. Also, Sora's been straight-up killing people since game 1 (the fact that Malefecint came back from the dead does not negate the fact that he did KILL her). MIckey wears the coat to protect him when he uses the Darkness portals.

25:57 Not really. Her goal throughout the series is that Maleficent wants to conquer all worlds. Opening the Door to Darkness was just one of her plans to do that.

Everyone loves and supports Roxas? Correct me if I am wrong but the only people who gave a shit about him were Axel, Xion and Namine, everyone else either didn't give a shit about him or were just trying to use him as a tool, hell I think the creation of Xion was to replace him. He works for Org 13 for like a year, gains at best two friends, loses both, gets his ass kicked by Riku (who at most feels sorry for him) and gets put in a Data Twilight Town by DiZ (who treats him like shit). Doesn't sound like a Mary Sue oc that everyone loves and supports.

"Meet Roxas, every Fanfiction writer's "DO NOT STEAL" oc who comes out of nowhere, is very important to the plot and the main characters and everyone loves and supports him." What he described sounds very much like a Mary Sue character, with one of the defining things being all the characters in the plot seem to love them unconditionally and support every action they take which with Roxas, that isn't what happens at all. I listened to this sin again to make sure, still sounds like he means the characters, which would be false. The fact that he compared him to a fanfiction level character makes it even less likely that he means real people since real people tend to despise those types of characters.

Well everyone did love him. It was only after KH2 that we explored more of Roxas' past and relationships. In KH2 , the only person that really hates Roxas is DiZ and that only last for this game alone. Axel's whole deal is trying to bring a friend who doesnt remember him back, Roxas has a trio of friends that all love him and while the town is a bit weird, they are all pretty friendly to them. Hell, in 358/2 he is needed because he is the most effective at collecting hearts for Kingdom Hearts. Everyone didn't hate him but they did abuse his power a bit for their own ends. Ansem wanting to rid himself Roxas was (IIRC) because Xion was easier to control and Roxas was beginning to question things to much. While I wouldn't really call him a Mary Sue, he does have a wishfulfilment aspect to him. Of course the reason for it was because of the gut punch that is it's all fake.

@@Mariusweeddeath Only three people liked him, unless I missed towns people in Twilight Town liking him in 356 days, the only time that happens is in a FAKE DIGITAL TOWN so doesn't count. He is a tool to the organization, they couldn't care less, even trying to replace him. Only Xion, Axel and Namine like him. He is not 'better at collecting hearts' he is the ONLY one capable of collecting hearts because he has a Keyblade and that is solely because he is Sora's Nobody and even that doesn't really protect him because they make something that can use the Keyblade as well that is easier to control. Not everyone likes him, he is not wish fullfilment, that sin was wrong. Xion would fit more with the videos description as she is super important, everyone likes or at least wants her and she shows up out of nowhere. Roxas meanwhile gets used as a tool for a year, loses his two best friends, gets trapped in the matrix where he is given a fake life with fake friends which he then learns is fake, then learns what he truly is so he just gets absorbed into Sora to complete him. Roxas' life honestly sucks.

Sure Vivi never picked up any orbs, but Seifer still lost orbs when he got hit. Since they start with the same amount, any orbs lost put you at a disadvantage even if your opponent never collects them.

I almost dismissed this channel as a cheap knockoff but you are way way way better than cinema sins, this is really spot on and entertaining

Ik I'm being extremely petty, and I really don't care that much but I'm just gonna say it anyway. I'm only like 2 minutes in, but I still want to correct you on how the nobodies were able to steal the word "photo" The twilight town consists of pure data, and the nobodies ig in a way could be thought of as a virus in said data, so the act of stealing the photos is like stealing/corrupting the data of the photos, and with the data gone naturally they are unable to speak words pertaining to the now lost photos. But then using this as an explanation births the question of if these nobodies stole/corrupted the data of the photos, how would Roxas and the town even have any recollection that they existed in the first place? This is really just the ramblings of a die hard fan who wants to correct any negative/constructive criticism by making up any excuse he can think of, so please, do excuse me.

I know that Malecifent had to time travel that's said during the mobile phone that's vow she was able to come back in KH2. So I know the story. Still doesn't make it less brain hurting and nauseating to explain

I literally bought this game at the time because of Axel. I liked how he looked in the trailer and hadn’t played Chain of Memories yet. I was completely lost playing it.

um i might be the only one but the Christmas town outfits are not the ones in the original ps2 version of the game but the Halloween town ones they still wore. so is that a sin remove or not lol i don't know
