Maybe not, not entirely anyway. The Tyrells were the stewards of House Gardener before them and when the Gardeners foolishly all died at the hands of the Targaryens during the invasion of Westeros House Tyrell were elevated to Wardens of the South. Since then they have held strong ties with their cousins House Redwyne, including the marriage of Mina Tyrell (Margaery and Loras aunt) to Paxter Redwyne (nephew of Olenna, (Margaery and Loras grandmother) it is possible House Tyrell in blood if not in name may continue but the rose itself may wither and die.

This is how the books read. Each chapter is from the perspective of a certain character-there is no objective narrator. It’s really unique (in my experience) and makes them a great read. I strongly recommend them.

Avoiding the field of fire while the Gardener kings burnt, not really taking sides in the Baratheon rebellion etc. The Queen of Thorns was the catalyst and Marjorie is the pawn. I don't think it's going to end well for them however.

Seems like the show completely removed Robert’s Targaryen blood. In the books, Robert’s grandmother was Rhaelle Targaryen, youngest daughter of King Aegon V the Unlikely. Rhaelle was Daenerys’ aunt, making her and Robert second-cousins. The Baratheons intermarried with the Targaryens on two other occasions as well. 1. Lord Rogar Baratheon, grandson of Orys One-hand (Aegon the conqueror’s bastard brother), married his cousin Aenys’ widow Alyssa Velaryon. Alyssa had Targaryen blood. 2. Rogar and Alyssa’s daughter Jocelyn Baratheon married prince Aemon, eldest son and heir to king Jaehaerys I the wise and good queen Alysanne. They had one daughter, Rhaenys.

I'm so mad that they completely ignored the Reed's in the show. They didn't explain their story at all, killed Jojen when he's clearly an important character, made Meera vanish after season 7 and never really showed Howland (except for the ''flashback'' Bran had). That's so disappointing.

2:30 = It's a shame that Viserys didn't survive the very first season as I would've loved to have witness his reaction to finding out that there is in fact a 3rd person in Westeros who not only has Targaryen blood in him but is also in fact the actual rightful ruler of The 7 Kingdoms instead of him (Viserys)

Probably overthinking this, but the Starks have stone for their section because they would have the crypt to remember their ancestors. The Lannisters are rich, and we’re able to mark their history in glass. Even the bonus features are lore accurate, that’s an incredible amount of detail

The whole story of Ice and Fire is centered around Targaryens lol. Every house is like, I... then Aegon Targaryen....three headed dragons... we rebelled the Targaryen dynasty.... bent the knee and wasn’t burned... Targaryens dragon fire forged the Iron Throne, Red Keep was built by Targaryens... etc.

i mean even GEOTD and even white walkers share a lot in common with Targaryens (Valyrians) not to mention every great houses in Westeros had overlords except Tagaryens and Blackfyres they never had a overlord even in Valyria... btw Blackyre is another Targaryen branch family... they are simply GOAT's of GRRM's universe

The actors who played awesome King Robert Baratheon and Tywin Lannister have awesome voices.

Robert, Stannis and Renly's Grandmother was a Targaryen so the dragon blood was just from his ancestor.

this would be a prefect introduction to season 7

Right of conquest was a useful thing if you could enforce it that is. On that note Aegon appears to be based on William the Conqueror of England who also claimed the English crown through right of conquest.
