It could have been if the creators cared at the end.

Whatever happened to Game of Thrones' ending is a series of bad and rushed decisions. It ruined one of the best (if not the best) TV shows ever made from a book series. I hope the future generations of creators who decide to bring a book to television will learn from this and remember that respecting the source material is the most important when it comes to adaptations.* *I know that there was no book when the final season was filmed but, if your creation is important to you, you'll find a way to tell it with respect towards the original author's vision of the story.

They got an offer for Star Wars so wanted to finish GOT as quickly as possible so decided to ham fist whatever ending they could into the end, then when Disney saw how bad the ending went over dropped them
