Honestly surprised that D&D didn't do it. In the end they basically devolved into nothing but fan service scenes designed to make the audience spray their shorts and forget that the writing became complete sht. But for some reason they went coy with this scene.
This scene was honestly my biggest gripe about the show. The fact that Jon tells his sisters OFF SCREEN his true identify is an absolute disgrace to fans. An 8-year relationship told thrown away because the writers couldn't be creative enough to come up with the right dialogue. Freaking morons.

LOL you think you are entitled to an opinion let alone that your opinion is more important than that of the person or people who actually created the story which led to a tv series & now spin offs. The only ending that's correct is the one the created it. And if the creative mind or those who wrote the script for the show feel a minute or two background on Jon's real heritage/secret was better on something else then that is their call & their decision is right. No matter who else thinks differently.

A secret Eddard Stark kept 4 17 years. We never see their reaction at the news but Sansa tells Tyrion in 17 minutes because she wanted 2 be Queen in the North! I'm finally rewatching the show from the beginning and in the 1st episode Sansa tells Catelyn I can be Queen, it's all I've ever wanted! Jon should've kept his mouth shut! Daenerys Targaryen begged Jon 2 never tell anyone because it changes people, takes a life of it's own and destroyed their 1 chance at happiness. That rage and emptiness of betrayal, losing Viserion, Jorah, Rhaegal and Missandei made her burn the city! Missandei's last word was DRACARYS! Then was beheaded. She's not insane, she won the last war and it meant nothing 2 her. Cersei woke the Dragon!

Serious: She told the secret because she didn't want Daenerys to rule. Or she just wanted Jon, her _family,_ to be King. The Northerners would rally to Jon if they ever found out that he was the heir to the Iron Throne, because they'd like a king with the blood of the Starks there. They'd probably be fine being part of the Seven Kingdoms again if that happened. Sansa wouldn't be Queen of anything then. It was all about deposing Daenerys, not Sansa being Queen. Daenerys never wanted Jon to tell anyone because all she's ever wanted was the Iron Throne, and Jon, as a male heir, is placed _above_ her in the line of succession. The only reason she didn't kill him was because she loved him and thought he was honorable to his words, and also because she needs Jon to control the North.
and they have this clue buried all the way from season 1 and did absolutely nothing with it. great job DB & DB
The last couple seasons did this again and again and again: crucial dialogue, emotional revelations, weighty scenes that talented actors DREAM of being given so that they can bring the text to life... all of them alluded to, but delivered off camera. Could D&D not think of the words without Martin there to hold their hands? Did they honestly believe it was better for the viewer to imagine it? This repeated practice suggests a scathing lack of talent on the part of the showrunners or an unjustified lack of trust in the actors.
"Arya's the one that killed the Night King!" Oh my god, that is what the White Walker story was reduced to. In one episode, it went from a pivotal life vs. death struggle into a fucking side quest.

1:30 Where are my two options?
Both Bran and Arya is loyal. Sansa has great ambition that get the best of her as always. Jon is a king if many don't know, he is king of the real north (the wildings, first men). He is the king beyond the walls, the white wolf of winter. As Bran said "Jon is where he is suppose to be." Where Jon rules is where most danger lurks and he is the only one that can defend that broader as the greatest of them all. The king of ice and fire, controlling the best fighters and most determine people as well as, Dragon (fire). Drogan knew Jon was the rightful king but he himself knew that Jon rule isn't that throne. Bran is only the king by name to hold order but he knew therion is a better leader so he had it to him. Therion is the leader, Jon the warrior, Sansa the ambitious and calculus queen, Bran the three eye raven/king who see and know all and Arya the faceless God who is powerful than Bran.
I wanted to see their reaction. I felt robbed we didn't get it. I especially wanted the girls to realise how their father protected his sisters son. How he took the pain and anger of his wife on the chin, and how he allowed his honour to become tainted by doing so.
She's the mother of dragons. I fought her by her side when I met her and her dragons.
They needed to show this. It would have shown how his sisters felt, maybe even how Branden felt. They straight cut it all. Wtf
Kudos to Sansa Stark for upgrading all the outfits of her siblings. The Stark family style in the last season was the most regal and grand.
where's my "NANIIIII???" scene?
It should be pointed out that as Tyrion and Jamie both have a claim to the Iron Throne due to their sister being Queen and Sansa is technically married to Tyrion they never had their marriage annulled so they could have thrown their support behind Tyrion with Sansa being his wife just pointing out
"Her dragons". Don't make me laugh! Dany had two dragons after the Night King killed Viseryon, and only one dragon after Jon (Aegon) bonded with Rhaegal by riding him. There should have been more of a story surrounding Jon's rightful Targaryen parentage in the show, as I'm sure there will be in the books. Once they come out 😭
And y’all thought this was better than Lord of The Rings and Last Kingdom.

In ASOIAF novellas, GRRM told stories that explained that the white hair was a defect from incest. Along with this defect was also the madness. Not all Targaryans had the white hair, only those who were defective. GRRM told about relationships with Targaryans who went outside their family, and they did not have the white hair. GRRM explained that procreation with other families strengthened their blood and fixed the defect--hence the Dorne children in the novella and Jon Snow (Targaryan and Stark). As soon as I read the description of Dany and her brother in the book, I knew they had the madness and was just waiting to see if it would be triggered/manifested. If you read Dany's story, it was there all the time. Yes Dany had hurt but she would dish out the same kind of hurt to others. Shes also a hypocrite. For example, she called herself a liberator of the people from Tyrants, yet she could not accept or forgive the people who rebelled against the mad king. She wanted vengeance on them. She called them an usurper but the Targaryans got power by usurping in the first place. She conquered and usurped power. (The crown through conquest as opposed to birthright.) The As much as people may love Rhaegar, he didn't do what was necessary to stop his father. It is horrid to read in ASOIAF the most gruesome, horrid things the mad king would do to humans for pleasure, he enjoyed torture and public displays of it. The scene described by GRRM, in the courtroom of the mad king, and what he did to Ned's brother and father (who were good men and only asked for an audience) was so terrible I almost stopped reading. There is no wonder the people rebelled and said that's enough. If Rhaegar was so wonderful he would have stood up to his father and deposed him or did like Jamie and kill him. But he didn't. He helped him. He helped him retain his rulership so not all was right with him.

Baelor Breakspear had brown hair from his Dornish mother, as did Rhaegar's daughter, Rhaenys. Also, her namesake, Rhaenys "The Queen Who Never Was," took after her Baratheon mother's black hair; Jon being the sole Targaryen to inherit his mother's features isn't true at all. The only reason most Targaryens even had their signature platinum hair and purple eyes was due to inbreeding, with both parents having platinum hair, not because they inherited their fathers' features.
I understand why but Sansa broke her oath to her king and family she shouldn’t been crown queen of the north she no better the Jamie as a oath breaker

Sansa was written badly in the last couple seasons. She comes off as jealous of the pretty, popular Targeryean girl, she casts aside the courtly cunning she developed to help her survive as a prisoner in King's Landing, she abandons her kindness and humanity, and betrays her family. This isn't character assassination, this is creating a character divorced from the events that lead up to her growth and evolution over the first several seasons. Without Martin to guide her character development, it was put in the hands of dolts with a clear inability to write a female character.

What a shit show it turned into. Sad
They butchered most of these characters. I like Sansa’s character development with her becoming strong like her mother. But then immediately after this she tells Tyrion like an idiot. Arya is just this robot killer with no emotions. And bran is a robot vegetable that doesn’t do anything significant the whole season. (Chilling in a chair for no reason as the night king comes 😂). Jon being moved to a useless side character “MUH QUE3N”. wtf man
Sansa can’t be trusted at all
Bad writing 101: Arya: We don't need many allies. Arya, not 30 seconds before: Arya: I respect that. we needed her, we needed her dragons. Oh.... so you fucking needed allies then, you awful god damn writers?
