I love the little detail in that scene with Dany and Missandei. I know it isn't significant to most people but we see Dany braiding Missandei's hair, something usually a maid or slave would do for someone of higher rank but Dany doing it for Missandei really shows how much Dany has grown fond of her. Honestly their friendship is one of my favorite things in the entire show. Also i don't see why people think Dany banishing Jorah is harsh. Of course it would seem so from our perspective but to Dany, Jorah is her longest, most trusted friend. He's been with her through everything so his betrayal is like no other. It seems completly understandable to me that she wouldn't want to see him again, she can't trust him now but also the fact that she didn't immediately execute him on the spot shows how much she does care for him. If it were Daario i'm sure she would've just had his head right then and there, no questions asked.

If you find out your ride or die betrayed you and could’ve had you killed at every turn for years, and it’s fresh news to you, Jorah is honestly lucky he wasn’t executed immediately.💔

Agreed. I don't know why so many people say she was rash and immature. Who would keep a known spy in their ranks? One who only came clean because he was caught. Banishing him was merciful.

@erransealie4496 she was rash. I can give it to you in a possible alternative conversation, although with a funny element, quite true. Khalissi: "You betrayed me... from the 1st!" Jorah: "Of course I betrayed you, I was a mercenary and I didn't know you. The price was right..." Khalissi: "You dare explain yours..." Jorah: "Pardon, I wasn't finished. I let you finish speaking, now allow me! That's how conversations go." Khalissi: "😳" Jorah: "Thank you kindely. So... the price was right, but in all these years I haven't collected it. Why you think that is?... Because I started knowing you and I regretted that mistake ever since. And then no more than a year later... You dismantled my rotten beliefs as well as my mercenary cloak, I am only a devoted servant now. And more... I would die for you. I love you." Khalissi: 😳

Understandable reaction although Barristan is standing right next to her. If he can be by her side so can Jorah.

He could have used the pardon to his advantage, said he could use it to help them infiltrate kings landing or something, he just got too scared of losing her and it made him unable to think clearly and he panicked

Sansa decision to help littlefinger isn't her being broken or scared of him, its the first time her making a decision in the politics of westeros. Atleast in books from this point on she will become a major player in political landscape but show went with more torture to her for some reason. Also dany's decision isn't naive but much more cold and cruel but very understandable yeah he is been a very good friend and loyal advisor but he was the reason her son was in danger and if she lets it go it will be seen as a weakness.

I don’t think you can ever trust someone again after they spied on you for so long. Yes Jorah did end up being on Danny’s side but to me. Nah, how am I supposed to know you won’t go and do the same thing again? But I’m known to be irrational and in my feels so 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 maybe if he came and confessed to her before, it would be different but he showed himself a liar and untrustworthy. Plus he’s creepily in love with her

Dani= when a woman goes cold and goes no contact.. The Mountain and The Hound are definitely brothers..neither one cares for talkers.. Leave it to a guy not to notice the significance of the dress Sansa sewed for herself..and the huge shift in character development it implies.. 😂 Right on, that Arya's laugh is a more complex reaction than what it is on the surface.. I think Corey is right about the beetle crushing scene sort of foreshadowing the mountain..I think it also speaks to separating a person with a conscience (tyrion) trying to understand and find an answer to why certain people behave the way they do or appear to or don't have one (conscience)he might not ever have an answer, but being he is a person who "understands people," he will always be studying and searching for an answer and this is why he is good at being the brains behind things and can understand and predict motives.. Xo

I've heard the beetle scene is about GRRM himself. I think he got so many comments from his readers like "how can you just kill all these characters, why do you do this?" probably after the red wedding, so this is kind of his explanation.

Spoilers for S8: I don't know if the end was in the show writers mind at this time but it also seems to highlight Tyrion's devotion to Dany as time goes on. Standing on the beach of corpses, weeping for their bodies. Trying to stop Orson and being pushed aside, Orson dying an unceremonious death. Not being able to comprehend what it was all about. He thinks that Dany's red flags are based on reason and rational advice and that he can understand/reign them in but it seems that deep down there was a little Mad King embedded into her blood. The scene ends with the ringing of the bells and they even reference Jaime "drifting away" for other things, Cersei, when he was bored of watching Orson which looking back parallels Jaime leaving Brienne/Dany to go back to his sister while Tyrion sticks it out despite knowing the end likely wont be pretty. Also when Jaime leaves in S8 the last scene also happens between Jaime and Tyrion alone in a cell much like this scene here.

Hmmm I always thought of it as Tyrion thinking about his sister and his father trying to ‘squish’ him their whole lives, all the way up until wanting him dead for this crime that he didn’t even commit, just because he’s little like a beetle

Of course it could well have multiple meanings but the way I see it, the beetle scene is at its base just a metaphor for what’s about to happen, with Orson representing the gods - Tyrion is putting his faith in the gods to decide his fate via the trial by combat, but is starting to worry that the gods don’t really care one way or the other - or, even worse, that they are intentionally vindictive. What if, like Orson and the beetles, they are just playing a cruel game with humanity with no discernible rhyme or reason? In that case the fact of his innocence has no bearing on the outcome.

The beetle scene always impressed me with the writing. In my opinion, Tyrion compared Olson to the Targaryens and the Lannisters. You can always crush the little ones till something bigger stops you. Jamie failed to get the hint. Tyrion is the beetle in this story.

Not Igli wanting Oberyn and Tyrion to be bros. 😬 Words can't even express how PISSED I was at Oberyn, SMH. I felt bad for Jorah, but I understood where Dany was coming from. He should have come clean himself a long time ago, I think she would have forgave him. Lastly, Grey Worm and Missandei are adorable. For someone who was learning to speak, he spit some game, LOL.

There was never a team up between Oberyn and Tyrion. Many forget that. Oberyn doesn't give a shit what happens to Tyrion. He used his situation to get justice for his family. That's it. People who say how stupid Oberyn was to not end the fight are stupid themselves and didn't understand what it's all about.

Aww, the disgust at sex talk and nudity, how virtuous, lol. I believe Sansa is 17 at this point, so not that big of a deal, especially in a middle-ages society. It's just the fact its Littlefinger I guess. The beetle conversation always bored me, it goes on and on, and all leading up to the revelation of..."I don't know".
