Hola Grabriel. Bienvenido desde Nueva Zelanda. I'm so happy you've become a rugby fan, and hopefully an All Blacks supporter? Rugby is our number one sport here! I lived in Mexico City for two years and was starved of rugby coverage on Mexican TV haha. Whenever I showed the All Blacks games to my Mexican friends they were blown away by how good they are. I'm back in New Zealand now. We're so proud of our All Blacks! They have the most success of any team of any sport in the world.

I was 9 years too. But I only got to watch it on tape since rugby isn't big in Germany except for my city Heidelberg and Hannover, which at that time made up for 9/10 teams in our top league. Since 2016 the top league got split up (North/East and South/West) , because it got kinda boring for the rest of the country.🤣

Nearly 110, 000 people attended this match in Sydney. It was a thriller to the very end with the great Jonah Lomu scoring the winning try in the last minute. The return match in Wellington was another thriller with the great John Eales kicking the winning penalty for the Wallabies in the last minute of the game.

My brother was in the stand that day. He says at the end of the game every man, woman, child stood and gave a standing ovation - Kiwis and Aussies alike. Everyone had a smile on their face. This is one game as an Aussie that I never tire of rewatching - even though we lost (partially offset by the fact that we ended up retaining the Bledisloe and winning the TNs that year).

I cannot tell you how awesome, and important for the growth of world rugby, it would be to have entire past tournaments available. For example, the entire Tri Nations championship from 2000. Having these one-off games is great, but a part of the greatness of the sport is being able to follow it in context, which would be provided if an entire year's competition was available. Arohanui, an American Fan....

@@user-gu4tv4hp6sgreatest sport is subjective. Cricket is the greatest sport, when I want a nap. Soccer or baseball are great to have on in the background at a bbq. College football is the greatest if I want to be entertained. The only reason soccer is the top sport in the world is because you don’t need money or resources to play. The only required equipment is a ball.

Amazing to see Jim Williams playing for The Wallabies and Christen Cullen who both played for my club Munster and gave Coaching Clinics , really fantastic guys , back when Munster was the biggest force in World Rugby, this game reminds me of how more exciting the game was in the early 2000s , The Pack did not dominate like today , the game plan was about breaking lines through quick balls over 10 yards from the scrum half’s , today you will never see a 20 yard pass like Justin Marshall does from a scrum, unbelievable stuff, George Gregan one of the greatest players of all time with 11 No 1 RIP Jonah Tali , we miss The Wallabies at the top of world rugby thanks for this video !! These two teams are probably the best teams in the history of rugby!Only negative is the commentators had no clue about rules especially coming in at the side and offside at the break down!!

I watched this live on TV and couldn't believe the way our AB's started. Then the WB's turned up the gas to come back and then she was all on. What a game! It was a world record crowd for the time serving as a stadium and infrastructure test-run pre- Olympics. Watching again and editing my comment 08/04/2021. I'll probably re-edit my comment next time I watch it too. I always thought George Gregan's tackle was a leg-trip disguised as a legit tackle attempt or pull down. He scrags the upper body of the player and deliberately swings his lower body off the ground swinging his legs/feet into the opponent tripping them up. He did this to Jonah quite a few times over the years. Some legendary players in both teams.

Absolutely amazing game of rugby. Two fantastic teams. Some all-time greats in both back lines. Thing is back in those days the Tri-Nations served up epic matches every year that were of a similar calibre to this one, albeit not quite as good. Hopefully it will get back to the point where it’s one score matches every week. Not like the last 5 years where NZ has regularly put 40 points on Aus and SA.

I remember watching the game and felt pretty frustrated, offensively the All Blacks were awesome, but defensively, they were c-rap. Shouldn't have been that close, but, that's sport.

That first five minutes by the All Blacks is the most destructive I’ve ever seen at this level. That was a 🐐 Oz team and yet, they looked like a schoolboy team against NZ. Wow.

I remember watching this game. What a great game to watch and what a great spectacle it was for the game of Rugby! It was 15 July 2000. The day The Wallabies managed to fill the Sydney Olympic stadium with 109, 874 in attendance. Now it's 2020 and the Wallabies would be lucky to fill an Olympic swimming pool. Hope those days will come back and the Wallabies are a force to be reckoned with again (wish full thinking?).

I just watched this thrilling game for the very first time. But I can't understand why they didn't utilize Lomo's talents more? The ball hardly was passed to his side of the field!

If there were a Larkham, a Latham, a Gregan, an Eales, a Mortlock and a Roff now………the list goes on and on for the Wallabies when they were at their most powerful. If only there were similar figureheads and powerhouses in Australia’s squad and game today, they would definitely be vying for the No.1 spot! I just love a great game and this is one hell of an example!!
