Anything that can make others laugh always helps. I don't think he was trying to be insensitive, he's even gone on record to say he's suffered from similar issues in his life, and he now naturally tries to lighten the mood for anyone else who might be going through what he had. At least, that's my interpretation from it, and I feel like everyone deserves someone like that in their life. And if we don't have anyone close like that, at least we have Danny. 💗

I would usually binge watch the DDLC series until things get creepy. It’s not anything against them, it’s just that my mental health has been unpredictable lately, and I don’t think witnessing characters committing to something I’ve been thinking about doing won’t help at all. But now we have DDLC + where all the creepy elements are removed so now I don’t have to feel guilty about not finishing a series. 😁

Everytime they did a bit with Cthulhu, I would die of laughter 😂 it’s just so funny. This play through was so solid in its comedy. They really delivered with this one!

"They ALL need therapy!" Most of them all, Dan Salvato. I sincerely hope he's getting the help he needs.

Hey this attitude? It actually sucks and is massively harmful. It's really messed up to presume someone's mental state from their art, just because someone makes art that is dark or emotionally complex does not mean they "need therapy" and it's a really childish notion

She goofy , and although she plays it up for others her(percieved) childishness(?) is still a large part of her personality and character. People like sayori exist everyday. Sayuri: Tiny hands+Mortal Combat Monika: Robot voice+Attack mode Yuri: Clifford the Big Red Dog+ Farts Natsuki: Cthulhu+Unlimited Potatoes I know this is not part of the original story, but it just seems like the girls were perfectly fine before the MC came into the picture. Once MC shows up it's like they all start to lose their minds. If only they knew that harem anime exists, they don't have to fight over MC, they can all share. I also wanted to say that as someone who has suffered depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember...Dan firing off the fart soundboard while 'serious' things are happening was the best sort of laugh I could have been given. I sort of wish there was someone who could do that for me when my anxiety starts to overwhelm me. When I have a panic attack it's as if I'm locked in my own head and I feel like there's no escape. I feel hopeless and worthless and don't know what to do with myself. It's the worst feeling. Sometimes it happens for no reason at all and lasts for a long time. It might seem insensitive, but for me, it really makes me laugh. I was having a really rough day and the suddenness of the fart sound from nowhere really brought me back. Sometimes listening to game grumps is the only time in the day that I can laugh. Even if it's just for a little while, it helps me to feel normal and forget about all the worries in my head. I've read that laughter releases good chemicals in our brain to help us. So, in a way, listening to Arin and Dan make stupid jokes in such a situation really is like medicine for me. I don't think it could take the place of actual medical help if needed, but it really helps me, like a boost when I'm feeling low. Maybe no one will see this, and I don't really mind if that's the case. I just wanted to share it. They'll never know how much they helped a person who wanted to take their own life back when they first played DDLC. I was in such a dark place, and I knew almost from the beginning. Little hints here and there. I KNEW. And it cut deep to see myself in the characters. Yet, for all the jokes and laughter, they were able to reach me. I stayed. They'll never know. But, I'm here now, in part because I decided to watch just one more episode. I relate to Sayori and Natsuki the most, and the gentleness they showed towards them all, I really appreciate it. It was exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it. So, thank you. This Best of was something I needed too. As a reminder.

I feel the kind of same way, friend. Everything can be so terrifying and stressful, and every time uncertainty presents itself one can feel cornered with no option but to break down. So one can end up resorting to distractions to keep the mind occupied to no think anything at all, run away from those bad thoughts. I know I have. But this is both comforting and hysterical, like you said. Sometimes and for some people, when having an awful it's amazing to have someone making you laugh at something stupid, and snap out of it. Introspection over now, I wanted to say that it's really great that you can open yourself like that about your feelings and past experiences, I respect he heck out of that! Also I too have a soft spot for Natsuki, the on I clicked with almost immediately lol And I actually would like to chat a bit, share our favorite game grumps moments and well other things about ourselfs if you're down 😅 Hope you're doing AWESOME and wish you happiness, pal!
