and sonic 4 explained by one glitchy character (a glitchy mess)

Here are the cut zones from Sonic 2 Hidden Palace:Deleting was rushed so still loadable Wood Zone:Palette found in Emerald Hill with Metropolis theme(textures were present in prototype) Genocide City:in prototype, no texture is found but layout was eventually used for MZ act 3 (heavily theorized to have CNZ 2p music) Dust Hill:mockup pictures were found and was replaced by Mystic Cave Winter Hill:Sonic 2 was supposed to have time travel, I dont the time point of this but all I know is that Dust Hill is the same zone from a different time point

The cnz 2p music was for oil ocean, (true) ooz's final music was for sand shower (imo)

6:58 this level is officially called shining glitch zone, is a legend never seen before only accessible with game genie and debug mode at the same time XD (Careful with the water)

This green hill zone background is better.

hidden zone palace is a secret zone well that you can found in the android version

I know that this is the 2nd game ever created and it has to be made with like bits and pieces if ya know what I mean so it may be broken so the hidden castle level may be one of the mess ups.

Trevgauntlet no.. I dont do mods (not saying it is one) I mostly study the building process and all that and experiment. Plus I've been playing game systems for eleven years (which I'm eleven, my parents whould let me try when I was a baby.. which I was good) and I found a lot of things and watched my dad nearly beat the game.

I made a rom hack of Sonic 2 Beta 4 to access the deleted zones (I hacked the level select). I just need to find out how to do edit mode, and that’s it! Beta 4 is mostly the same as the final with a few differences (ones you’ll have to find out for yourself)

did anyone notice that the lives counter says "tails" in wood zone?

it didn't work for me, am I using a different version? or should I go on to the knuckles version (I really want to try wood zone, probably someone will make a ROM hack of the level select so I can access the secret levels.)

Trevgauntlet I do have the one that is the one that is *founded* by Simon wai though. but did you know dust hill is just mystic cave (in Simon wai) but I do really like (this is a nickname) Woody Hill zone in the final because of the pallete and the music still being here and having at least some collision.

Trevgauntlet you can always get a emulator and even there's a den EARLIER version called Nick arcade, it's Sonic 1 but with sonic 2 layouts! And btw, you don't wanna know what labyrinth zone is in Nick arcade, it's even worse than hidden palace in the final and the glitched loop in genocide.

Now you can play hidden palace zone (Proto palace zone) in sonic 2 (IOS/Android). Here are the steps. 1. Download the game. 2. Push “no save” 3.when it shows “SEGA” logo, push S-E-G-A and A-G-E-S quickly. Then hold 2 fingers on the screen until it goes on the level select screen. 4. On the sound test,activate the debug mode (1,9,9,2,1,1,2,4). 5. Once you activate it, put in the Proto palace zone code (3,3,3,ob,10,10,10,4). You should hear a ring. 6. Push “hidden palace zone” and it should say “Proto palace zone”. 6. Enjoy

I tried the codes, really work.

i found out my emulator Classic boy can do game genie So i can do these now

To do a super sonic: Go to options.. and do the code for hiden castle on music (19, 65, 09, 17) then exit. A+start. Then, your in level select. Under music do 01, 04, 02, 06. Then, go to the first level (I forgot name) and play it.. WARNING: take your time or you will not see super sonic.

i hate to put it to you but whoever posted those codes was noob who wanted to look cool after failing, its a level and music import yes, but the data your looking for is saved ina special memory space on the sonic and knuckles WITH sonic 3 lock on rom, which could be downloaded on paradise roms .com,

Tip: hidden palace zone was laterly used in the mobile version, remember the big hole with spikes in mystic cave act 2? It no longer has spikes, fall there and you will get to a complete version of hidden palace, also theres a level (i think it was deleted) named egg gauntlet zone, idk how to reach it but try to discover
